[Q] Phone inasscessible!! - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So, last night I let my phone charge overnight as usual. I woke up at 5:00am to check the time, and then turned off the phone. This morning I turned on the phone and all I saw was a boot loop. The red eye screen, then the skyraider loading screen. And back and forth between the two.
So I loaded up clockworkmod, and backed up my phone before I planned to load one of my other backups. The process completed, but when I looked for the backup I had made, it was not there. Tried this multiple times and there is no backups saved under clockworkmod/backup. Weird but oh well. All thats there is the backup from the previous day. So I tried to load that. Same issue: bootloop.
So I clear cache, i clear the Dalvik cache, I wipe data and do a factory install. Reboot the phone, and the ONLY screen I get is the white "HTC Incredible" screen. I waited and its been like that for over two hours now.
Next I clear cache, clear Dalvik cache, wipe data and load up the Skyraider 3.3 Rom. Same problem.
I reformatted my SD, I've removed my SD, I've switched batteries, I literally have no idea what else to do. Any suggestions?
HTC Incredible
HBOOT: 0.92.0000
Radio: 2.05.00.06.11
S-Off
ClockWorkMod Recovery: v2.5.0.1
I was running SkyRaider 3.3 but I can't do a factory reset so I don't think the ROM is involved.

Stuck on boot screen.

Went into recovery and wiped data, cache, dalvik then went to install Fresh 3.4.0.1. It was done installing and I gave it a reboot. At first I thought it was just the first time installing a rom that was making it take forever to boot up, but I fell asleep and just woke up, and that definitely wasn't the problem. It's still on the boot screen with the white background and black htc EVO 4G. I haven't been able to get into bootloader so far.
Any ideas?

I had a similar problem once. I would just get stuck at the splash screen no matter if i tried going into recovery or just normally booting up. What fixed it for me was to just take the battery out and leave it out for 5 minutes. Try putting it back in, booting into bootloader, then into recovery. From there try wiping everything and then installing Fresh again.
Also, make sure you are using Amon_RA recovery, as it correctly wipes everything.
yea try that what he said. take the battery n try it one more time n see if that works

Weird problem

Yesterday my desire wouldn't get online anymore, i rebooted it and it got stuck on the first screen.
Tried to wipe cahe, dalvik, factory reset, wipe system, boot, everyting i could wipe was done, but nothing helped.
I was running insertcoin stable rom 1.0.9
I tried to do a nandroid restore of a previous rom, that worked, but it looked all screwed up and when i pressed the menu button and took settings, i got an error that the program was no longer installed.
When i locked the phone, the bottom menu was not there anymore, i also was unable to shut down the phone, pressing the power button only locked the phone.
After a lot of messing around, i finally got the latest insertcoin rom up and running.
Weird thing is that it loads the boot animation that i installed whit the nandroid rom.
Boot time is very slow, the rom seems to run very stable and fast.
Any idea how to completely get rid of everything and start fresh ?
I'm rooted and s-oof and wanna stay that way
Thx,
Steve
If you want to start a fresh then go into recovery and wipe all the partitions, boot, system, data, cache, android_secure, ext then flash a rom
I did all that :-(
I even did a complete format of my sd card, re-partioned it.
Maybe i should do it again ?
Strange thing is that the rom seems to work fine, but the boot animation is from another rom ??
Thx for the reply,
Steve

CM7 stuck at boot after flashing Radio, please help weird problem

Ok so my wife and I have the same phone; HTC Desire HD. both of us run CM7.1. I flashed the radio on mine with no problems, did everything correctly. Went to flash my wifes radio and the flashing went fine, but now CM hangs when loading. I read up, wiped the cache, still hangs. Did a factory wipe and it boots fine.
I did the proper thing and did a backup prior to flashing. and after restoring the backup, it still hangs. Even went so far as to do an advanced restore, restoring selected parts of the backup and the mother still hangs. Any ideas short of wiping it, handing it back to my wife and going without sex for a while?
Phone is ENG S-OFF and S-OFF and I just flashed the radio to 26.09.04.11 from 26.03.02.26
Thanks

[Q] CWM Recovery very slow all of a sudden

Hi Folks,
Was running ZYGOT3 2.0 and Franco #6 for last week or so, with no major issues.
Had a freeze-up after a phone call this morning, figured that maybe I was undervolting too aggressively, and didn't think much of it. Pulled battery, replaced battery, restarted phone, phone hung at Google logo.
Pulled battery again, rebooted to bootloader, entered CWM recovery no problem. Figured I'd reflash the kernel if my phone wasn't booting past the Google logo due to the undervolt settings. When I went to choose zip from SDCARD - the screen went black other than the CWM version and logo, and my folder list never appeared at the top of the screen.
Pulled battery, tried again, same result.
Pulled battery, this time went to advanced menu - wiped dalvik cache no problem.
went back to main screen to try to wipe cache again...and it hung again. Got distracted, came back to phone like 5 minutes later, and CWM had finally responded and was showing me the option to wipe cache.
So I was able to reflash Franco #6 and boot the phone back up. Then I just downloaded Franco #7 kernel - rebooted to CWM Recovery to install - and noticed that the CWM is again very sluggish. It seems that I need to wait anywhere from 30 seconds to over a minute before it responds to even a simple command, such as to show me the list of files & folders.
Any ideas folks?
Thanks!
Justin

[Q] help please. possibly corrupted efs?

ok so heres what happened. this morning my phone started behaving weirdly. then it restarted and got stuck in a boot loop. I was running the newest aokp release. after the boot loop i restarted to recovery, i was using the team win one. i wiped cache and dalvik and restarted...still only to boot loop. next i tried factory wiping and reinstalling rom. still same thing, only then i couldnt clear the cache. if i tried it would just reboot.
on lunch break i figured id just odin back to stock. after playing with it a few times i got it to flash the stock back. after it rebooted the first time it went into recovery to clear the caches like it should but there was a red message saying cant locate efs or something. there was about 4 lines in red saying pretty much the same thing. and it said manual mode at the bottom.
ive tried wiping caches and restarting a number of times. I fallowed both the guides from the development section and from the general section. so i currently have the stock ics odined on the phone. it will boot to the rom and start. made it through the upgrading android part then once it gets to the home screen it will sit for a minute then reboot again and just boot loop. i can clear cache and make it boot back up but it just restarts after a few secondds.
please anyone know what to do? this is my second gs2.
