The one thing I really liked about the Desire HD rom is the smaller font size across the entire rom. Is there anyway I can do this to other roms? Preferably in an easy way

If you flash in a font with a smaller x-height and a little tighter letter spacing, you'll get a slightly smaller font overall.
A good candidate is flashing in Microsoft's Calibri font for DroidSans, that's what I've been using on my phone. Along with Consolas for DroidSansMono and Cambria for DroidSerif.
I use "LCD Density Changer" from the market... I luvit.
I just downloaded the free version of LCD Density Changer, but it didn't seem to work for everything (i.e. Messaging app, etc)
Is there an easy way to flash fonts. I seem to remember a program on the g1 but don't remember the name

There's Type Fresh in the Market, but it's pretty straightforward. I rename them on my desktop first, then use adb to push them into /system/fonts, and then use adb shell to chown root:root /system/fonts/* and chmod 644 /system/fonts/*
For some reason type fresh isn't working on the leaked incredible rom from 10/13, at least for me. I'll have to try adb out, cause there's no way that shouldn't work. Thanks for the help!

Woah. I thought I was the vibha only one who like the hd font size... I need smaller fonts too. This screen is too small for the huge fonts that the desire z rom inflected on my eyes...

No, I think Android definitely needs a built in font size selector. I know some ppl like the larger font, but I think the smaller font just has a more streamlined look.

ive been lookin at changing my fonts this past week as well..... typefresh app works great.. just find the font and good font.ttf and find the .ttf file. then move to the sd card. open app and replace droidsans.ttf and clocktopia.ttf etc.. yeah ive noticed the fonts in the 300+ font threads don't work.. currenty on a search for easy flashable fonts.. easiest way i thnk\prefer...
There's the an app that I have, I think it's callled 'font selector' or something like that. It's in the market and free from what I remember. You should try it. The font list is updated really often too.
I tried that one. It sucks. The font packs don't look right in terms of formatting. I removed that app quick

So I see a lot of mention of the Roboto Font for other phones but nothing for ours. Anyone have an .apk for this? Specifically for CM7.1?
It's not an apk, it's a ttf file. There's flashable zips around, just search Roboto flashable zip.

hey great thanks. found what I needed. appreciate it.
In case anyone else asks, the app font installer makes it really easy to choose between 100's of fonts.

+1. This is a great app. I like the INFECTED font
Or this...
You can also change your fonts in rom toolbox, I think it's actually the same font installer app. You have to download the fonts you want first however, but rom toolbox makes it easy to install them and does a bunch of other cool stuff.
the roboto font apk is on droid-life, under downloads. I flashed it yesterday, looks great.

Looking good; easier to read.

Hmmm.. looks a little odd to me. Not as crisp and clear as Stock Sense font. Kind of reminds me of Comic Sans. It's got a little bit of angle that makes it look cartoony...
Okay, I'm warming up to it, but it's very small at times. Anyone else experiencing this?

Size consistent throughout here.

I didn't like using it because on my gmail it made all the lines bold instead of just the new email headers. Maybe its because I don't run the stock density setting? Not sure.

is there any app that can change the font size? thanks
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA App
i'm pretty sure the only way to do this at this point is to change your screen density which will make everything appear bigger/smaller, including your font. You need to have root to change your screen density, and there are a variety of apps that can help you do this on the market.
the app "font changer (root)" by "Martino" can change screen density. It is mostly meant for changing fonts on rooted phones that do not have the ability to already, like our t989's, but also has the feature your looking for included.
You can get spare parts from the market. Has the ability to change font size.

Anyone came up with an app for this?
I am not a fan of launchers running on top of any ROM and I read a lot about issues with apps and playstore after using LCD Density.
I currently switched from iPhone to Galaxy S3 and while the phone is great, icons are just not adequate to the screen.
There is an app called Bigify for iOS, is there anything at least similar for Android devices?
The main 3 options I am looking for:
1. change icon size
2. change angle of the icons by xy degrees (it looks fantastic!)
3. remove icon text
Here is a SS:
This actually would be very nice as it bothers me when the apps name is cut off because it's too long.. So being able to remove the text would be great!

Apex Launcher allows you to remove the app text or modify the title/icon. You cannot rotate it though.
Op running a different launcher has no actual problems
Say your using nova as default the phone won't have stock tw launched running in the background unless you open again

I am sorry but how are these answers to my question? As far as I am reading it correct I need to have a launcher and I cannot get a any angle and no name icons at the same time

It's what you asked for. They honestly helped you as much to their abilities.
That being said if you want angled apps look into making it yourself. I know that is not much of a answer you're looking but as of right now as far as I have seen there are no apps or mods to rotate apps.

There's one launcher that'll let you have the customization you want. It's rather expensive though.

It does look pretty amazing! I might give it a whirl this weekend when I get paid.....still worth getting.

Root your phone install a recovery and install paranoid android, google it, i think youll like it.
I got TFS Launcher and it runs great. I do have one question though.... Isn't there always a Launcher running over a rom? Otherwise you wouldn't be able to run any apps.

I downloaded the Rom Slim Bean.
So far I'm loving it.
Now I believe this rom interface display is smaller, the dock look smaller, the battery status icon hour and the rest of them. The text is also smaller and I have no idea how to increaze the interface overall size. I know there is a text size option but it's not what I'm asking.
The problem is that all the themes from the app THEMER won't be adjusted correctly how they should. For example: One of the themes loaded and it was more to the right and the icons aren't place correctly and it interfere with different actions.
Is there anyone who knows how to fix this small problem?
Thanks.
NOTE: Forgot to checkmark the QUESTION little box. -.-
