ive been lookin at changing my fonts this past week as well..... typefresh app works great.. just find the font and good font.ttf and find the .ttf file. then move to the sd card. open app and replace droidsans.ttf and clocktopia.ttf etc.. yeah ive noticed the fonts in the 300+ font threads don't work.. currenty on a search for easy flashable fonts.. easiest way i thnk\prefer...
There's the an app that I have, I think it's callled 'font selector' or something like that. It's in the market and free from what I remember. You should try it. The font list is updated really often too.
I tried that one. It sucks. The font packs don't look right in terms of formatting. I removed that app quick
From my permarooted overclocked HTC G2 with cyanogen 7 nightly via XDA app
Most fonts I find don't have all the symbols so I get alot of boxes. :/

So I see a lot of mention of the Roboto Font for other phones but nothing for ours. Anyone have an .apk for this? Specifically for CM7.1?
It's not an apk, it's a ttf file. There's flashable zips around, just search Roboto flashable zip.

hey great thanks. found what I needed. appreciate it.
In case anyone else asks, the app font installer makes it really easy to choose between 100's of fonts.

+1. This is a great app. I like the INFECTED font
Or this...
You can also change your fonts in rom toolbox, I think it's actually the same font installer app. You have to download the fonts you want first however, but rom toolbox makes it easy to install them and does a bunch of other cool stuff.
the roboto font apk is on droid-life, under downloads. I flashed it yesterday, looks great.

Thanks for the tip! Flashed from there too.
Looking good; easier to read.

Hmmm.. looks a little odd to me. Not as crisp and clear as Stock Sense font. Kind of reminds me of Comic Sans. It's got a little bit of angle that makes it look cartoony...
Okay, I'm warming up to it, but it's very small at times. Anyone else experiencing this?

Size consistent throughout here.

I didn't like using it because on my gmail it made all the lines bold instead of just the new email headers. Maybe its because I don't run the stock density setting? Not sure.

I looked around but not able to find my answer....
I see the font folder in /system/fonts but I don't think it's the correct one. How do I add font styles to show up directly under "display>screen display>font style"
Is there a way to just extract fonts lets say from another rom and copy and paste?
Thanks in advance
EDIT: I found font switcher in the market that seems to work pretty well. But still would like to know where the fonts are hiding...

The app is called FlipFonts. Here's a thread that has a good many fonts you can install just like any app.

Hey guys!
I am trying to figure our how I can replace the existent app icon in insertcoin 15.0.1 with ones I downloaded as a zip file. So I got jpegs with new icons I want to use. The icons should completely replace the old ones, not only make a new shortcut with i.e. desktop visualizer. Sorry for making a new thread for that. Don't know where to post it else.
Greetings,
Sinisjekkt

I think that this thread is more suitable for the Q & A section. And I have no idea how to replace icons other than installing some launcher that supports that option.

in order to change icons, you would have to swap the icons out in the apk that contains the icon you want to change(make sure you make the new icon the same size as the old one) then you will also have to change the icons for the app in also the in system/apps(systemui.apk) , in system/framework (com.htcresourses.apk) and (framework-res.apk) hope the helps
Try this app

Does anyone know how to add custom fonts to Touchwiz? I tried changing them with ROM Toolbox but it won't change them. Is there another way to do it?
I have some fonts that aren't so common that I really like to use.
Nexus ONE
I use Ifont donate but theres a free version that works perfect too. Or you can just download font(s) packs thru playstore as well.
Edit: nm I see what you mean.. If you got a root explorer you can add them to system/fonts

I would like to has anybody found a way to to change or add icon packs while remaining on stock touchwiz launcher now I'm rooted at this time but I would like to keep touchwiz launcher but change how my icons look any help would be helpful

It's very simple actually to change apps and system icons if you are rooted and running custom recovery. That's how all available themes works. Launcher doesn't matter.
Get some theme, take a look at the zip folder/file structure inside and you'll see how easy is to replace any kind of apk resources making your custom icon pack.
Try anycut or bettercut and or desktop visualizer.
