As the title states what would happen if I did the clear batter stat in cmw? Just curious

Your phone would have to re-create the battery stats so if you did it while your battery was at 75% your phone would stop charging at 75% since that was now what the phone saw as 100%
Interesting. So if you did such a thing how do you reset it so that the battery charges to truly 100% ?
I have been noticing less battery life out of mine since I cleared these stats a few days ago. Fyi..running most current version on midnight rom.
In addition I have been noticing that when I let my phone charge all night it seems to stop at 96,97 % and never get to 100%

You would have to restore a NAND backup from before you wiped stats.
What if I charged my battery fully from my wifes phone where I have never monkied with this setting. Once that battery is fully charged I would put it back into my phone and then reset the battery stats again.

That would work.
my battery drains fast and i dont know what to do.
ive installed juice defender and did everything else to limit the battery drain as much as possible.
one thing ive noticed is that my screens brightness is set to low, but on my battery stats it says Display 64%
and recently my system says 30%
i left my phone on the charger overnight. and it got unplugged from the charger, when i woke i looked at my stats and the display was at 64%
the phone signal bar was filled and it was bright yellow.
and my system said 34%
can anyone help me?
When you plug it into a wall charger, can you confirm its charging AC and not USB
How old is the battery? Have you checked all the software that are automatically sync ?
I think that you must dig deep on what's your battery being used and consider the age of the battery in there too

Yes I can confirm it, it says ac charging

@ megabiteg not even a year old. I tried screen filter, flashing diffrent radios, changing wallpapers and turning off haptic press. How do u suggest I dig deeper?

There are battery monitoring apps that you can find to monitor unusual activity.
Now your display is at 64% which is very peculiar.

Hmm I don't know what's up with it. I set my CPU low and I'm running evolved Final ROM.

Could it have something to do with sense?

Try System Panel, it's in the market. Best app I've found for monitoring battery consumption, especially when you need more details than the About Phone section under settings provides. It is a premium app, but cheaper than a new battery. Hope you find a solution quick! Battery problems are a pain.

Have you tried calibrating your battery? Charge to 100%, then boot into recovery and wipe battery stats (or you can use the Battery Calibration app). Let the phone discharge fully - don't plug it in until it dies - then charge back to 100% without breaks.
It could also be an issue with your usb cable or charger. Sprint can run a test on the battery to see if it is the problem. Try calibration first to rule that out, and never wipe battery stats unless you're fully charged.

I've tried the battery calibration. And I've done the wipe stats. I've read on how to recalibrate from HTC....

Another thing I've noticed is that my battery drains when I flash a ROM...
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
try charging it while its turned off then repeat the steps plainjane said. i was in the same boat as you when i flashed the evolved rom, now my battery life is pretty good.
What I just did was downgrade my radio one. My battery has been so much better in life. I am at 7 hrs right now at 66%. I have been using 4g, texting, and sending emails. Currently running Decks 1.3, SZ 2.2.1 CFS Havs.
What radio do you suggest? I'm on 1.77

I tried the wake lock fix... I dunno if that one was a good pick. What do u suggest?

I'm experiencing a weird error... the battery percentage has been shown wrong.. I'm using chobits 1.8+ merruk pre 2.0...the performance is good but even weird thing is that I had 43% battery once , rebooted the phone to get 65% and another reboot it shows 90% now once I had 3% battery which lasted for an hour..
I did calibrate my battery but am still getting this issue.. Any assistance could be appreciated..

Then charge ur battery 100% in swich off mode
Dont remove ur charger
And wipe battery status via cwm

My Desire battery while charging the status jumps from 70 % to 100% immediately.
I have been using battery calibrator application.
If the battery is fully charged, my desire turns off at 30%. That means in anyway my desire only uses 70% of the battery.
:cryingls help me
try this
Charge till full when powered on
power off
charge till full again
boot into recovery
wipe battery stats
boot and continue to use as normal
Thanx... Will try this...

Did u do the guide i posted? All those battery calibrate apps do is wipe the battery stats, and thats not how to calibrate a battery

Sorry.. I missed the last step in my previous post. Allow the battery to drain completely before charging again..
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
yh, in the app once u check the boxes in settings and set the values in learn prep, turn on learn mode and drain ur battery, once it hits the value, a popup screen will say learn mode detected, plug in charger. (or something like that) just have the charger ready coz u only got a few seconds to plug it in then it shuts down lol

Nothing works for me... I followed the battery calibration steps.. But fails.. Still have the same issue...

Do you have these problems when you charge via usb or directly from the plug? As the second procedure is much faster, you can have some erroneous battery capacity readings from time to time, especially in (not really old but still bit) aged batteries.
Try before using the calibration tool the following: When the green LED appears, sign of a full charged battery, unplug your charger and turn off your phone for 3-4 minutes (you can even pull off your battery for a while). Turn it on back on, plug the charger and wait until fully charged. At this point reset your battery stats through the calibration app.
edit: oops, it is essentialy the first solution posted but without going into recovery. The calibration tool does this automatically for you.
I have the opposite problem
My charging is quite accurate but while discharging, the phone suddenly dies at a random battery level below 20%, without becoming close to zero
After rooting my wildfire s, i'm not able to charge my battery to 100%. It always shows between 70 to 80 %.
I tried using my battery in my friends cell phone (wildfire s) and it shows 100%.
& again tried using my friends battery ( which was full charged -100%) in my cell phone.. it shows around 67%.
Please help me what is the problem. I can't understand.
Use the battery fully.
Shut down the phone.. charge the phone continuously to 100% while switched off and using original charger.
Boot into recovery.
Wipe battery stats.
Reboot.
