anyone using this app ???? i tried using this today but it seemed to just drain my battery faster, i think it would be a good app if you didn't use your phone much during the day but the constant on and off of data caused more harm then good in my occassion............

I am using chads incredikernel with HAVS and i was wondering if. Juice defender would be of any help. I with typical use my. Battery gets to 30 by 7 or 8, and sometimes I cant charge it until 11. By then it's basically dead. So i am looking for ways to improve battery. I have the think 2500mwh battery.

Towards the end of the day when I hit around 20% I turn off 3g. With 3g off I can get 2 hours out of every percent if I use it like a normal phone... calls and texts.

I use Juice Defender(paid version) and love it. It's a great app! I have noticed since using it that my battery goes way farther than without it. If you get the free version, you will probably not see the gains as well. I'm using the stock battery and get close to 2 days on a charge with moderate use; internet, phone, angry birds, and etc..
I used to use the paid version of juice defender. I stopped using it because every day my phone got slower and slower, and then i disabled JD and my phone was slick again. It's a great app and it really did improve my battery a lot, but the fact that it made my phone quite slow sucked.
Does anyone use it with their thrive? I just got my thrive today, absolutely love it, plugged it in and charged it, I'm not worried about battery life, just wondering if anyone else uses it. Also what are your settings if you do use it?

Using Juice Defender
I have it on mine and it works like a charm. I'm typically a pretty heavy user (web, videos, etc...) and I was getting maybe an average of about 6 hours of use before I would hit that magic "15%" of battery life remaining that told me I needed get some A/C action going. After installing Juice Defender and getting it configured (that took a couple of days of tweaking settings) correctly for the way I use my Thrive I started getting slightly over 7 hours. It is not a huge increase but it works for me.
So even without jd I'm getting pretty awesome battery stats, now this is including standby and what not, but I've been using this pretty much on and off for the past few days and I've been getting well over 24 hours of use before having to plug it in, is anyone else getting this?

Nope, I'm not getting that.
The oem battery already gives me plenty of juice for the day...I'm wondering if anyone's tried jdu with their phones..I dunno if the general consensus on this app is garbage or not...I just want general thoughts or opinions on this app...whether it will improve my battery life more or I'm the long term be harmful...

I use easy battery saver which is conceptually the same. It does make sense that it saves battery since it disables various network functions, especially when you go to sleep. It's the next best thing vs turning your phone off at night.
When I got mine, I had it stock with no apps and lost around 15-20% overnight with wifi on. Now i'm losing around 5-7% at night tops with EBS. So in short, scheduled battery management programs are beneficial to your phone; task killers on the other hand....
Of course even with this stuff, nothing beats my original sprint EVO losing 1-2% overnight tops with custom rom/kernel/supercharger.
I'm using the free version. My battery record without the app was 12 hours 57 minutes. With the app my new record is 24 hours 12 minutes. I' m a constant user so for 7 of those hours I was sleeping. I'm truly impressed
Yes.And is the best battery saver app.i usually run it on advanced mode.

My wife and I have this phone. A few weeks ago I installed Juice Defender (free) on mine and so far it's working remarkably well. Last night I installed it on my wife's phone and the battery level dropped precipitously. She wasn't using the phone much (if at all) and eventually plugged it in to charge it up. After fully charging, the phone wasn't used - overnight it just sat on the kitchen counter and the battery went from 100% to 17%. Never had this problem with my phone and can't figure out what the deal is. Does Juice Defender have a weird reaction under certain settings or installed apps that I don't know about?

I have exactly the same issue? you get anywhere with this?
Thats strange... I was planning on installing JD myself after a couple of days without it to get a good baseline. Anyone know what the deal is?

I installed it one of the first days I got my LGOG, before it was rooted or unlocked and it killed my battery. I went through everything within the app and couldn't figure it out at all. Next step would be to contact the dev to see if he has any ideas.
Why not just use the builtin methods to save your battery?
Assimilated using the interface that interacts with the advanced internet.
I think I'm getting decent battery life with juice defender on

Man listen you do not need addon software to save your battery. It's useless! You do not need any software or app to save battery life! It's like me using pc with norton protection LOL. Turn your sync off.
I've been using jd since the day I got my phone... No battery drain problems. I have my settings on a semi frequent sync schedule (30mins) and can get about 1.5-2 days if I let the battery get close to 0. Check your settings... Both in jd and not.

I never partook in using these seemingly useless apps. From what I have seen over the years, these apps cannot really differentiate what processes need to run for system stability versus what is just eating up RAM and metaphorically killing the battery. I have never had success using battery saving or task managing apps, as they eventually always proved counterintuitive.
Want better battery life? Turn on Eco mode; lower your screen display; keep Wifi, NFC, and bluetooth off when not in use; and turn your vibration completely off.
JD does bring a few features you can't find in the native settings - I use it mostly to lower the screen brightness below the lowest built in setting for usage at night, as well as to quickly turn on data when I turn the screen on, and intelligently choose which type of data to connect to.
I think the main value is that I can get the best performance out of my phone (all cores, bluetooth constantly on so it connects instantly in the car, nfc on demand) when I am using it, and battery savings when I'm not. It's a very powerful tool, as long as you know how to configure it! It takes some tweaking but it's worth it.
That said, I'd contact the developers to see if you can send them some kind of log file to see what could be going on with the battery drain... They might be able to help, though JD seems to be out of active development.

How do I keep my Mobil Data from constantly running and draining my battery?
This has only been happening for the last 10 days. When I don't have a Wi-Fi signal my mobile data seems to be running constantly, keeping the phone hot and quickly draining the battery when the screen is shut off. I have had Juice Defender for quite a while and it seems to have stopped working

Most likely Google Now or another app always running. I'd suggest getting BetterBatteryStats to narrow down which one it is.
Ya google apps can be notorious for reporting all the time and eating up data and battery other apps such as facebook do it as well. Better battery stats is your best bet to find the problem.
