i dont think that has anuthing to do with the ROM..
I have may be similar problem. I tried to unlock my htc p3300.
After doing the procedure there was an instuction to hard reset it.
When did that, my device just blocked. It starts only in the beginning (light screen with red figures on the lef top) and that's all.
In this position it could not activesynced to upload the factory rom.
Please, advise me what to do.

Sameproblem, someone has a solution?
There is a possibility to load the bootloader!
Press and hold camera & power buttons together and make soft reset with your pen and hold camera & power buttons together until it says "bootloader mode"
Here you can load your rom on to it!
Good luck!
Ps. does anyone have a original dutch tmobile rom?!

Already tried that 60 times... i think i need a original dutch tmobile rom...
I have installed one of the ROMs here and it was a beta version....I didn't know and now my phone don't work at all.....I can't do anything....the power/ ok/ stylus button thing doesn't work for me....have tried a hard reset but it goes back to the "This is a beta version screen"....please some one help....
What if you try another Hard Reset and on the screen when it asks for preess screen , do a left side ok + right power hold buttons and soft reset with stylus while you still pushing the buttons. Do you see 4 colors?
Plug it and install aonother rom
Doing a HR may not help as it is probably a timebomb. I'd suggest reflashing another rom.... This will get rid of the "Beta Version" message. A lot of people have been caught by this when a rom released by PDAViet went bung. Not their fault as it probably surprised them too, they released an updated versio without the time bomb today....YAY!!!!
Cheers...

I don' get that screen at all...nothing happens when I do that...I have been pressing that all day....
Just double checking, The POWER BUTTON, THE OK BUTTON NEXT TO THE FLYWHEEL AND THE STYLUS RESETTING ALL HELD TOGETHER UNTIL BOOTLOADER APPEARS.........
Sorry if this seem like I'm treating you like a noob but the amount of posts sugggest this. A lot of noobs think that a HARD RESET is the same as goining into BOOTLOADER.......
If you have installed Hard SPL, and get to bootloader, you can reflash a new rom onto your device.
IF you get to bootloader,
1). Format an sd card fat32.
2). Copy .nbh file from your pc onto the sd card and rename it to "hermimg.nbh"
3). Put sd card into phone and go to bootloader.
4). Follow instructions to flash.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AT LEAST 50% BATTERY POWER......
This will put a new os on your hermes. Make sure its NOT 19949 as this is a beta test version....(not all but unless you're sure, DON'T)
Hope this helps... Cheers....
Here we go....another one flashing ROM's without reading a damn thing in this forum! Gawd this is frustrating!!
Yeah, I know ai6908. But I'd prefer to help them flash properly now then to have to sit there for ages trying to get information out of them to help unbrick their phones. Besid, if we get the noobs up to speed fast , then they can help the next generation of noobs instead of us old farts....
Cheers...

Why are you suggesting SD Card flashing? If he puts the PDA in Bootoader he can normally flash another ROM...

Yea thats what I was hoping too, but its getting damn old after a while you know it!
He's a noob, Not much goes wrong or can go wrong with sd card method, short of resetting phone in middle of a flash. ANd lets face it, if you're that stupid then you don't deserve your Hermes...
Please note, I'm not calling anyone on this thread stupid. No need to flame for THAT misunderstanding...

Hello,
I've just installed HardSPL succesfully, after that I wanted to install MightyRom 4.6, so I did. That went succesfully too according to my computer. Now when i want to switch the phone on, it keeps hanging with the T-Mobile picture on it. I've done a hard reset for several times and also a few soft resets. I also took my battery out for a few minutes, but when I switch it on, the same thing happens.
Please help me out of this !
Ps. sorry for my bad english !
for taking a little stress from your brain take an other rom - orig. rom from your provider.....
(go bootloder from pda; if your orig. rom only one *.exe-file you have to extract (winzip/winrar) it before flashing; connect usb (bootloader screen change from serial to usb); than flash)
but before you do this, how long you have to wait and look to your screen?
it can be sometimes a very long time until a windows-screen is coming.
if your pda gets hot than dont wait and flash asap new rom.
after 5 minutes waiting without any changes you have to flash an other rom.
I think I may have the same problem with my Diamond. I also installed MightyRom 4.6. Now, when I power up my phone, I get through the RGB stage to a white backdrop with instructions in blue to push volume button up for a reboot to manufacturers settings or push volume button down to reboot to manufacturers settings and wipe the movinand....after I select either one, when it gets to the HTC logo (HTC Diamond in white on a black background), it freezes. My pc won't recognise my phone when I plug it in...
Do I now have a really gorgeous paperweight or can I hold my Diamond to my ear again? Insight into my problem would be much appreciated.
By the way, XDA Dev rocks. Thanks to all who made this site possible.
Brick or no brick ?
Oh, I forgot to mention that my phone was a non-branded HTC running a Duttys rom. I did not want to get a DOPOD Diamond from China Mobile as they cost more and I dunno if they put Big Brother software in there.

do you have it in the boot loader before you plug it in to your pc?
Brickety brick, brick, brick...
My phone does not recognize my pc and vice versa. I tried plugging the phone in before booting it up. I tried while booting up. I tried at the white screen stage...nothing...help...
It also doesn't stay at the RGB screen for long...maybe 2 seconds...
Please break it to me gently if I have killed my HTC...I don't want to start drinking again...
...
My phone is a GSM Diamond. MightyRom 4.6 is for CDMA. If I combine the two(like I did) then am I screwed?
Can someone please give me some insight, please? I have been scouring the net for 3 days non stop now and my eyes are going to explode...
What is Jtag and can your average home user use it? Is it hardware or software...?
Cobbs: I assume when you say bootloader you mean something other than the RGB screen,,,cos as I stated in my first post, my phone does not stop on the RGB screen...
Hi there,
I'd like to return my Diamond (O2 XDA Diamond) to stock SPL (1.37) since my touchscreen is out of order and I'd like to send it to O2.
I already flashed the stock ROM and now want to flash the stock SPL.
I was following several tutorials on how to do this, but had no luck.
The problem, I think, is that I need to confirm something on my device before flashing (SSPL gives a warning in my understanding), but I can't since I'm stuck on the "Tap on Screen to start Windows mobile device" (is in German for me, but the first screen after Hardreset).
Any Hints on passing that screen via Registry or flashing Stock SPL without any confirmation is highly appreciated.

You can do thAT, on this way
Plug the USB cable to connect your Diamond with PC, make sure ActiveSync connected.
Copy "SSPL-Manual.exe" to Internal Storage on your Diamond.
On your Diamond, execute "SSPL-Manual.exe" and confirm to trust the excutable. Your Diamond screen will turn "BLACK" and ActiveSync will disconnect. *This is normal behavior***
Execute the ROMUpdateUtility.exe.
Your Diamond will automatically restart when finished.
To make sure stock SPL has been flashed back, press and hold "Vol-" key and use stylus to press reset once. until you see the tricolor screen and if you can see version of spl which before you flashed, it's ok!

You are welcome, try this, i discover this combination of buttons
ENTER+VOL UP = ALIGN SCREEN
that means, with this combinations of buttons, you can directly enter ALIGN SCREEN options, and try to align screen , sometimes this helped me, cause my touch screen has same problem, it start to freeze randomly, i don't know why, sometimes in right, sometimes in left corner, up-down, randomly, i noticed that htc diamond when is exposed , when i'm out and it's sunny weather, it stop to responding on touch, one my friend specialist for mobiles, tell me, maybe this happen, cause bellow screen in some pda is some thin rubber, and from heat it start to expand, and that cause problems, maybe this situation is in htc diamond...
greetz and good luck

Hi
I have similar problem and I will tell you what I did to get back to Stock SPL.
1. Flash the BSBs latest ROM from this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=506533 . Either by RUU or moving the diaming.nbh to the storage, this ROM does not require allignment or any other input.
2. Install My Mobiler from http://mymobiler.com in your computer, where you can see your mobile screen in your computer and operate using your mouse.
3. Then return to the stock SPL as given in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2324829&postcount=39.
4. Flash your ROM again from the HTC. This can be done once the system connects to the phone.
I am successful in doing the above.

V.Balaji
Dear all,
I got brand new HTC Touch Pro2 T7373 that is not locked.
The phone is DEAD and does not boot.
I tried vol+ and pressing power on.
The phone green led goes on.. and stays like that forever.
How is the recovery procedure?
I have done recovery procedure on my old HTC P3300 several times, but with this one, no success. Any help? Thanks in advance. (also I need original rom with english language if it is possible, please post a link.) Thanks again.
You ****ed it up. YOu tried a hardspl from a different device... BAD IDEA!! Sorry but you're screwed return your Touch Pro 2 to where you bought it from and see if you can get a new one but otherwise you're screwed

I tried several times to change the firmware from German to WWE, because I do not understand German, but without success.
Then I applied raphael_cdma_vzw_hspl_035.rar because it does not accepted any other wwe firmware that I wanted to put on.
After that, the phone is DEAD and does not boot.
I tried vol+ vol- and reset the same time, and pressing power on.

you should have PM'd me for language change services.
now, your bootloader is probably dead if voldown+reset didn't work...
maybe the radio bootloader is still alive, but it would be quite difficult to unbrick it (requiring hardware tools) even if so.
You should consult the experts here before you try anything first, that is why we are here.
Dude! this a very expensive phone... handle with caution.
Now your phone.....RIP!.
Dear Cmonex, one question, as I have found, vol up + vol down + reset btn and then press power. Is this the way for entering the emergency mode, or it is something else (like you wrote... vol down + reset ) ???? maybee I do not enter the recovery mode correctly ???
Thanks for quick reply Cmonex , but thanks all also!!!

As Cmonex wrote,
Hold Vol Down (keep it pressed) and press the reset with the stylus.
This should take you to the tri-colour bootloader screen.
If it doesn't you have bricked your expensive device, the only way to recover is to get a new bootloader loaded via JTag, good luck getting someone to do that for you.
As is always stated here time and time again, read the information carefuly and if you don't understand ask.
Since you flashed a Raphael bootloader or rom or both ???? I'd say it's well and truly an expensive paper weight sir............ on the bright side though, you've learn't an extremely valuable lesson.
READ BEFORE YOU ACT.

Dear Beasty,
Thanks for the complete info.
I will try tomorrow morning first thing to enter vol down + reset, and try to upload new firmware. If it does fail, please give me info for Jtag pinouts. I have done until now flashing with jtag interface to satelite receivers, to linksys rooters but never to phones. However, I think that it will be similar because Jtag is Jtag . Please give me info about the Jtag if you have just for me to be prepared for tomorrow fight . Thanks. Regards.
What I want to know is why did the TP2 stock SPL allow digitalmk to flash an unsigned SPL (ie HardSPL)?
Are the SoftSPL hooks that close between the 2 phones?

I dont think any one here knows where the jtag pins are on this phone. You could always strip the phone down and be the first to know where the jtag pins/pads are...

probably just running SSPL bricked it.
(my newer SSPLs have a device model check but the cdma raphael package which he ran didn't have it)
I did something similar with my HTC Tornado a few years ago,
It was a lost cause, and I feel you are going to find the same.
its an expensive lesson to learn
Obviously, technically speaking you have voided your warranty... so you have a few options left:
Send device back to htc and play dumb *** not recomended could be classed as fraud?***
Find the Jtag pin outs and a method of flashing
purchase a new system board from ebay
break down the device and sell the parts on ebay
Cheers

JTAG not easy probably
I was looking a while back for the Titan JTAG points because I also have used it a lot on other devices and someone sent me one he had killed. What I found by looking around surprised me that there appear to be no JTAG at least not in the Titan that are lined up. Someone on another model did it long ago but looking at taking the processor off the board to get to some pads below to do it, made me give it up.
with vol up + reset + power on, it starts green led
My phone is dead, I tried to hold vol down and press reset, but nothing..
BUT WHEN HOLDING VOL UP + CLICKING ON POWER ON, IT Lights green led (left from speaker) and keeps lighting.
When press reset + anything (vol down + reset ) or anything led goes off and does not start. This tells that it is not completely dead .. but.. where from here ??
Any help from here??
Regards to all
It is pretty much dead unless you can find the JTAG pin outs. No other options aside from getting a new one.
I suggest you return your TP2 and "play dumb"..
Wap in in the microwave for half a second. Frys everything. Play dumb.

maybe radio bootloader still works but you'd need to build a serial cable to access it and even then it's not an easy ticket to unbricking
hit it with 12+ volts at the battery terminals, should fry everything and it won't look like you stuck it in the microwave. Say "I think there was something wrong with my charger".......
Are you Dutch, digitalmk? I ask because two different Dutch posters bricked their gsm Raphaels this week flashing that same verizon hard spl. It seems weird as hell that so many people are doing that all of a sudden. Where did you get the idea to flash it?
Hi,
My phone became dead too. It worked normaly, but while i was talking he simply turn off. I thought that is empty battery, but he was on charger for few hours. Red light is on ( when charging), when i try to turn it on he vibrate and get to HTC Touch Pro 2 logo with red numbers in right corner and then go again off.
Does anyone know what maybe be a problem?
