I have installed one of the ROMs here and it was a beta version....I didn't know and now my phone don't work at all.....I can't do anything....the power/ ok/ stylus button thing doesn't work for me....have tried a hard reset but it goes back to the "This is a beta version screen"....please some one help....
What if you try another Hard Reset and on the screen when it asks for preess screen , do a left side ok + right power hold buttons and soft reset with stylus while you still pushing the buttons. Do you see 4 colors?
Plug it and install aonother rom
Doing a HR may not help as it is probably a timebomb. I'd suggest reflashing another rom.... This will get rid of the "Beta Version" message. A lot of people have been caught by this when a rom released by PDAViet went bung. Not their fault as it probably surprised them too, they released an updated versio without the time bomb today....YAY!!!!
Cheers...

I don' get that screen at all...nothing happens when I do that...I have been pressing that all day....
Just double checking, The POWER BUTTON, THE OK BUTTON NEXT TO THE FLYWHEEL AND THE STYLUS RESETTING ALL HELD TOGETHER UNTIL BOOTLOADER APPEARS.........
Sorry if this seem like I'm treating you like a noob but the amount of posts sugggest this. A lot of noobs think that a HARD RESET is the same as goining into BOOTLOADER.......
If you have installed Hard SPL, and get to bootloader, you can reflash a new rom onto your device.
IF you get to bootloader,
1). Format an sd card fat32.
2). Copy .nbh file from your pc onto the sd card and rename it to "hermimg.nbh"
3). Put sd card into phone and go to bootloader.
4). Follow instructions to flash.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AT LEAST 50% BATTERY POWER......
This will put a new os on your hermes. Make sure its NOT 19949 as this is a beta test version....(not all but unless you're sure, DON'T)
Hope this helps... Cheers....
Here we go....another one flashing ROM's without reading a damn thing in this forum! Gawd this is frustrating!!
Yeah, I know ai6908. But I'd prefer to help them flash properly now then to have to sit there for ages trying to get information out of them to help unbrick their phones. Besid, if we get the noobs up to speed fast , then they can help the next generation of noobs instead of us old farts....
Cheers...

Hi,
Well after 2 phones and countless upgrades, I finally bricked my hermes! I have read countless threads and the WIKI but I don't see my problem anywhere. When I soft reset my phone, it sticks at the Logo Screen(AT&T in my case). If I try to go to bootloader, it will go to boot loader screan(tri-color) for about 2-3 seconds then it goes to the loading screen that you see when you are upgrading. I have 1.01 bootloader.
I have cid unlocked and upgrading many times, but at last, I am totally stumped. Can someone point me in the right direction! Thanks
try to upgrade a complete rom from a microsd card. You can try one with SPL 1.01 if possible from your original carier. You know waht to do: you rename the nbh file to HERMIMG.nbh and put it in a empty card. with the card in the slot produce the tri-color mode.

It's a shame that you did not do the reading of countless threads and the WIKI BEFORE updating your phone, why didn't you have HARDSPL 2.10 on there?
Check the thread in my sig or/and look on the WIKI for the table that Pof kindly put together it should point you to the answer you need. It's not Black 3.01 fault so I wouldn't have mentioned it in the heading as it will insult those people responsible for Black 3.01.
Thanks everyone, I believe I am back on the right track....it seems that my microSD card was causing my phone to kick out of bootloader mode. Not sure why but I took the card out and I am now flashing back.
Thanks for all the help!!! Knowledge is power!
What if Everything goes ok But no power?

I got one Hermes100. I tried upgrade via Microsd, Upgrade 100% cOMPLETE, but after it the phoe become complete dead. No Boot Loader using Boot Sequence. Nothing not even red light when USB inserted. Any Possinility to Bring it in Boot Loader mode?
Thank U.
Press (at the same time) the Power Button, The OK Button on the left side and the reset button with the pen. Should go into Bootloader.
When you flash, you have to tell it what bootloader you are using as it won't autodetect.
Nothing goes right!!!!!

Cant get any report via mtty cause I cant bring it in to boot mode.

Hallo, anyone have an ideea about gold card ?
I have an P3300 and i bricked the device (was italian ROM). I don't find the rom, so i take the P3300 to the repair shop. Thei made the repair in about 5 minutes. The repair man told me he used a gold card, in bootloader mode. The ideea is that my devive is unbricked, and since than i write the rom many times, using USPL. But i think the gold card can help many people here, witch bricked their devices, and can't find original ROM
Why don't you ask the guy from the repair shop what it is?
I did. i did
I was asking him, but it is secret, the gui is makeing money with that tool. I started the topic, hopeing somewone knou something, and can help the other.
It will probably be nothing more than a microSD card with the correct image on it.

Maybe
I don't think so, because after repair my phone was not with italian ROM, but with WWE, and he cannot put 2 sistem so quick. And he mention something about GoldCard. There is such tool for hermes.
Gold Card VS Ita Rom for free...
You have a choice here without g.card Original ITA rom. After that, you can flash with the instruction (how to not brick Artemis) any rom. I save my Ita Artemis on that way.
You have to update rom this only through sd Flash
To do like that registered here===)))http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index..._Card_Flashing
And this is the connection to the download of the file

Hi!
The bootloader is invoked by pressing down the Power and Voicedialer buttons simultaneously, and using the stylus at the same time to press the RESET button at the left side. Continue pressing the two buttons for a few seconds after pressing and releasing the reset button until the bootloader screen appears.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_SD_Card_Flashing
It would appear that perhaps not all SD cards are the same when it comes to SD card flashing. Mine certainly does not work.
Can anyone who has successfully got boot-loader to read their card post the size and make?
Rom-image not working
Hi,
Yes I know but it didn't work, it checked SD card content and nothing appeared. I once had an error with other image, sometimes it doesn't say anything at all like here with this rom.
I think it's because I need an original Dutch WM5 rom to flash back to original.
If anyone has a WM5 dutch?
Thanks!

Well I just flashed my first ROM and thought I followed everything to the letter. I ran HardSPL, it completed, and I verified that it was done in the bootloader screen. Then I downloaded Energy 23544 with MaxManila Mar 09. Sync'ed with WMDC, Ran Custom RUU, It says it flashed ok. Now it just sits at the "Toch Pro2" startup screen. Can anyone tell me what I missed and if there is anyway to fix it?
Thanks

Need more info like who is your carrier...the problem you are describing sounds like you flashed a gsm rom (t-mobile and at&t) to a cdma phone (sprint and verizon). If that is the case you need to flash back to stock rom then grab the energy rom from here for the CDMA phone
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=86489
hopefully you did not brick your phone...good luck
Seems like you've done everything right. Just note that first time flashes usually take a while to load on the first boot before customization procedures.
If the phone doesn't budge, try a hard reset. To Hard reset your phone, Turn it completely off (remove and reinsert battery if needed), then hold down the Send and End and the power button. It should load the SPL and then ask you if you want to Hard Reset, press the Volume Up key to accept.
If the Hard Reset doesn't work, download a stock ROM, and flash that via the bootloader. If the stock ROM works, try to flash the Energy ROM again.
To enter the bootloader, Hold down the Volume Down key while turning on your phone. or hold it down and while pressing the reset button.
Hopefully you can get this sorted.

That could be the case, but he sucessfully flashed a HardSPL, so he could just enter the bootloader and flash his stock ROM to continue operation of the phone.
When he responds about who his carrier is and which TP2 he has, we'll go from there.
I am on US Cellular and I did use the GSM ROM for some stupid reason. I can load the bootloader screen and am downloading the correct ROM now. I assume I then follow the load from microSD card procedures?
Thanks guys

Yes, with HardSPL you can flash the nbh file from the microSD card, but I recommend you flash using your PC via USB. It would save you the hassle of trying to find and extract the NBH.
Well it wouldn't update via the PC because it wouldn't connect. I did find and rename the nbh file and put it on another sd card. It is updating now with the stock ROM. Then its back to the drawing board if this works.
Thank - I'll update and give other noob idiots my story when all is good. (still having fingers crossed)

Hmm... HardSPL usually enters USB mode when the bootloader is run and a USB cord is connected, but I'm glad you got your phone flashing either way. Good luck.
My problem was definitely the wrong ROM version.
For anyone else as dumb as me, this is what my problem was...
Everything seemed to flash ok originally (the program said it was successful). Then it restarted and the phone would not go past the "Touch Pro2) screen. There was nothing else on the screen.
and here is what I did to fix it...
Got another SD card and formated to fat32.
Extracted the proper original ROM.exe file using winrar.
Placed the .ngh file in the root of the card with the name rhodimg.nbh
Insert the sd card in the phone and restart into the bootloader screen
When it asked if I wanted to load the ROM, I of course did what it said
When it finished I removed the sd card and pressed the reset button
It took a while but everything loaded ok.
Then I started over with the ROM I wanted (this time using the correct CDMA version). Again everything seemed to go ok. This time when it rebooted, on the "touch pro2" boot screen there was additional text at the bottom indicating the cooked ROM I installed.
Thank you to everyone who helped me understand what I did wrong and I hope noone else is as dumb as me, but if you are there is hope.
Thanks

I am very happy with the Energy Rom's, but that is a whole different discussion.
Or you can go back to the stock ROM which you can get at ppcgeeks also.

STOCK ROM
FYI, the stock ROM, original ship ROM can be found here at the htc mobile phone product support page. It comes as an *.exe and you double click once in the bootloader screen and it works
I had a problem where I flashed with a new rom, and it went to the white screen. I had to flash with the original ROM and it came back to life! yay.
Okay, my touch pro 2 is messed up beyond belief. I tried to install a custom rom and I did it all by the instructions. Then it turned off when it was restarting and afterwards once it was restarting it just stayed on the HTC screen. It will not go any further. I have hard reset the thing many times along with trying to reinstall the roms. I honestly hope there is something that I can do... I have also tried doing the SD flash. Either way please comment ASAP.

have you formatted your micro sd card to fat32?
then flash the rom from the sd card.
bro heres what you gotta do to fix your pfoblem, first format your sd card to fat32 then copy the nbh file onto the card, rename it to RHODIMG insert the sd card then enter the boot loader menu by first taking out the battery, and reinserting it. now with the phone off hold the volume down button while pressing the power button this forces the device into bootloader mode. your screen WILL read RHODIMG os. now press the power button again to install whatever rom you want but I would recommend using a stock rom or one that you know works, ie- from past experience.
trust me bro do this and all will be fine again,
HAPPY FLASHING
oh dont forget to press the soft reset button once the rom installation is done when the screen says installation successful,
once again HAPPY Flashing>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>

Yes I have searched and no I have not solved my problem so I decided to post here after accidentally posting in the Incredible thread.
I flashed the wrong RUU and now my phone will only vibrate three times no matter what I do. I have tried holding the buttons as described, 3 vibes. Pulled the battery and held all different combinations of buttons while plugging in, 3 vibes.
I can not get 5 vibes out of my phone.
I have made a goldcard, 3 vibes, no love.
Any other suggestions? VM support are full of stupid people that can't seem to realize I have three phones so they keep saying my issue is resolved and I can't understand half of them anyway. wish I spoke Indian, maybe we could communicate.
Any help is greatly appreciated at this point. I am very savy computer wise and have been able to root my LG Elite and unbrick my LB OV but this on is really getting me.
Thanks ahead of time.
1-Take an appropriate RUU
2-Run it on the computer
3-Just as the first screen occurs close the setup
4-Go to the temp folder (%temp% in run) and searh for a zip file named "rom"
5-Take that file out,rename it "PG76IMG.zip"
6-Put it on the root of the SDcard(no folders)
7-Power on your phone while holding the Volume down button
8-After some time you will feel some vibes........press volume up then
9-Hopefully your phone will boot after 20-30 minutes

It's not bricked. It's in Qualcomm diagnostics mode.

The phone isn't bricked. I think 3 vibes means it is in Qualcomm Diagnostics mode. You'd still need a jtag for a bricked phone.
Well guys I'm learning. thanks for correctING me

You can try this method:
If you have made a correct Gold Card and put the correct PG76IMG.zip file on it, then;
1: Take your battery out.
2: Put the battery back.
3: Press and Hold BOTH Volume UP and Volume DOWN then the Power Button.
Now wait to see it the PG76IMG.zip will load.
Didn't work need Goldcard?
No it didn't work, I never get 5 vibes and I am having a heck of a time getting a goldcard made without the phone. Sorry it took so long to reply I guess I wasn't being sent messages or they went to my spam folder one of the two.
So now here I am, I worked on trying t get a goldcard made and the thing fixed for hours last night, went through every tutorial I could find and nothin, still in the same 3 vibe mode. :crying:
I tried everything from using an LG that I have to looking up more Goldcard tools than I can even remember. Every time I would maje the card whether through the HEX edit method or tools that say they will make it for you they failed. When inserted into the computer they all said they need formatted and if inserted into a phone I would get a damaged sd-card notice.
I am totally at a loss here and ready to give up. Funny that I have been able to repair both the LG's that I have (Elite and V) at least back t working order and have even been able to make progress on the NVram thing I was having problems with on the Elite without even posting about it but not this HTC when it sounds so easy. How stupid for HTC to require some goldcard thing anyway.
I have now turned on instant email notifications so if anyone out there has any idea what I am doing wrong I would really appreciate the help.
Thanks!
I hate those dang image verification things! Grrr....
At a loss
I have tried everything I can find all over the internet. Is this phone just done?
I finally got a goldcard made using linux. Looked at the stock RUU's available from HTC and tried the Virgin Mobile for Marvel and the Sprint for marvelc. Phone never does anything expect vibrate three times no matter how I try to start it or what RUU I use. I have extracted the rom.zip out of each and renamed it to PG76IMG.zip. I just don't know what I am doing wrong. I see other people that have fixed this problem and I know I can too.
I keep seeing that the phone should vibrate five times after it verifies the image but I never have been able to get it to do that.
If any of you have actually fixed this problem personally can you please tell me your exact steps and any way I can verify what is happening, I'm getting really tired of this. I don't know what the heck to try next.
