Heya,
I have currently have an rooted HTC desire (Telstra) running leedroid 2.2d.
I still have delvik stored on my internal memory. My question is, can i simply use Rom Manager and partition my sd card through leedroid 2.2d and then store back all my files on the sd card? Or must i partition and then flash leedroid 2.2d back.
Thanks!

Rom Manager and Partion SD Card

Hey fellas,
I currently have T-mod leedroid 2.2d on my desire. Works fantastic.
My question is: can i simply backup my sd card onto my HD, then use Rom Manager and partition my sd card with 512mb and 0 swap then restore back the files to the sd card?
Will my phone restore to its original state?
Currently i have partial apps stored to sd with delvik in the internal memory.
Thanks,
Brendan

flashing amonra / partioning SD card 1GB

hey guys im currently rooted with clockwork and well I would like to Partion my SD card to 1GB for HD roms.
Rom manager only allows 512mb I believe. I cant seem to flash amonra via unrevoked3. It stalls at waiting for root :S.... phone is already rooted with leedroid 2.2f loaded on it.
Is there any windows programs to partion SD card? like not doing it via phone?
any help very appreciated.
The easiest solution would be to download gParted live cd to boot from and then use that to partition the sd card in whatever format with whichever size you would want!

New SD card and new ROM... help!

Desire rooted, running LeeDroid 2.1 something with A2SD+.
OK I have looked at a few other threads but I still have some questions.
I am finally upgrading my stock SD card to a 16GB card.
I know I need to format the new SD card before trying to use it in LeeDroid. I have Ubuntu installed on a laptop so I can format it from there. Can I then just copy all the contents from the old SD over to the new SD?? What about the data in the ext3? Will this copy over too?
Once the new SD is installed I want to upgrade to the lastest version of LeeDroid. I've only installed one ROM (the one currently running) so I don't know how to back my phone up so it can be easily restored once the new ROM is running... I mean all the apps, personal data etc.
I have mybackup pro(paid) and titanium backup pro(paid)...

Don't have to follow the steps to make a ext partition with rom manager when you have a linux machine.

[Q] Partition of Sd Card

Hi I am sorry if this is in wrong forum.. I have just rooted my HTC Desire with UnRevoked and flashed ClockworkMod recovery 2.5.0.7.I have backed up to MyBackup Pro, and now I want to flash a ROM with 2.3 Gingerbread and Apps2SD . Do I have to acquire a New SD Card and partition it or can I Let ROM Manager Pro do the work on my existing card. Thanks in advance HollyJ9
No need for a new SD Card, you can do it on your current.

upgrading SD card that has S2E

I've got an 8GB SD Card which i plan to upgrade to a 32GB installed in my HTC Desire
Only problem is my Desire running CM7 Official is also running Simple2Ext and Ive installled quite a few apps now (well over the Desires own internal space)
Is there an easy way to upgrade my SD Card and copy the Ext partition from my old 8GB card?
- nandroid backup using your current sd card
- partition your new sd card (4ext or gparted)
- copy everything from old sd card to new sd card (you'll only see the FAT32 partitions in windows, just copy everything you can see, as this will include the nandroid backup)
- insert new sd card and nandroid restore (will restore your ext partition as before)
not tried this with s2e, but should work
Yes this method works brilliantly as I used it personally couple of times in past.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA
thanks for that, i'll give it a bash
