Would like to request for Motorola Cliq section. - About xda-developers.com

I am a huge Motorola Cliq fan and considering that there are a lot of custom ROM and the 2.1 update is already out I feel that it is time to add a section for the Cliq here now.

would be nice, i have a tilt 8925 (kaiser) as well as a motorola cliq. but i have to go to other forums which i hate venturing out of this comfort site to get roms for it.

If the G1 and Mytouch 3G can have their own, I want one two. I currently own a Cliq with FakeFroyo on it, a great ROM itself. The Cliq even has Gingerbread on it so far, common! Make a Cliq section!

Is there a Slide ROM available comparable to the N1's OS?

I have a Nexus One, absolutely love it, best phone I've ever had tried. My girlfriend just upgraded to a MyTouch Slide, and all the wonderful enhancements that HTC and TMobile have added to make users lives easier are so great that we want to know how to get them off the phone quickly and easily. She likes how easy to use my N1 is, and I'm hoping there's a ROM that's comparable, and usable by a non-techie user.
I'm quite technically competent, but have barely begun to dip my toes in the Android hacking waters. I rooted my phone for practice and have rooted her's as well. I can take complicated instructions or not-for-beginners advice, but as to how to get that advice, I'm a noob.

You say you are technically competent, and yet you post in the wrong section.
Check my signature.
I also said I was unaware how to properly find advice. Thanks for reading that part before mocking me. Also, I asked a question about the MyTouch Slide in the MyTouch Slide forum. I again apologize for such an obvious oversight on my part.
As for the TeamFenix ROM, I'll check it out. Thanks.
Seriously?? Use the search! There are quite a few ROMs on here already. Oh yeah and questions go in the Questions and Answers section, unless they are development related.

If u want n1 experience I would a froyo rom. Either cm6, eugene's, or team fenix. Then download launcherpro and there u go.

Your best bet would be to get cm6 on both handys they will have the latest features and will be almost identical if you want to set them up that way, the biggest diff is that stock slide roms are "sense" roms which is why the UI is so much different, so get cm6 for both and do a lot of reading and you'l be fine...
You will get flamed less if you have enuff knowledge to ask the right question properly, so search first ask questions later

Virgin Mobile LG Optimus V needs xda's love!

i am here to request a forum for the lg optimus V. though it may not be a next generation super phone... it runs on virgin mobile for 25$ a month unlimited data. with no cap. not yet atleast. plus the phone is 150$. beats the samsung intercept, which is full of bugs.
its clocked to 600mhz...but has been clocked to 8xxmhz and it capable of runnin some heavy graphics games. the phone is showing promise.
with xda's help, this could be the best prepaid android phone you can get. thank you for your consideration.
I agree the phone has potential.
+1 Hands down the BEST pre-paid phone I have EVER owned or used! I think this is only a sign of better things to come people. Just put CM7 on my V last night and am VERY pleased soo far.. And for $150?? I thought I was robbing the Radio Shack!
bump for development.
overclock kernals, data throttle bypassing, ports of CM7.... the optimus v would fit in just fine here in xda. and thnk of what it could be pushed to do with the support of the pros here at xda.
BUMP for a dedicated forum.
Definitely want this as well, I'm now in love. Found out about this phone yesterday, bought it and canceled service with Sprint.
By far the best in its class. By that meaning the pre-paid, mid-range class. Still have yet to root it due to time but going to next week. Looking to OC it as well.
just rooted my first one last night! easy as pie. run superoneclick... then run z4root. done.
so...i put it thru some tests...
i'm thinkin no way it can angry birds without lag. 600mhz? no lag.
i'm thinkin no possible way it can run fruit ninja... it does. flawlessly.
so...it definately cant do a video call with assistance from the vainworks stand. no way. if you got wifi...you can do it. tested.
i dunno whats up with that little 600mhz processor but its runnin top notch. i'm very impressed. its runnin step for step with my g2.
I'm also for creating a separate forum for Optimus V. I've owned one for 2 weeks now and it is, by far, the best phone I've had to date.
Dedicated Forum!
+1 one for dedicated forum! This phone deserves it.
I also vote for a Optimus V forum.
+1, count me in.
I have asked for a optimus one / optimus V merge.
Now optimus V has a new android developing forum in our Optimus One section.

Anyone come to the Evo from the Optimus S?

So I've been checking out the optimus s just because it looks awesome, has amazing build quality, and runs stock android. I know performance-wise it'd be quite a step back, but the only thing really keeping me from getting one is its dev support. First off, I don't think it has its own forum on xda, and even on androidforums its forums seem quite limited. Anyone have any experience with rooting and roms for this phone?
Well personally, no rooting or roms with it, but my dad has the optimus S, but its definately a step back from the evo. If you really don't need all the evo has to offer, its a great phone. But you'll have more devs and rom support for the evo by far.

Moto cliq 2 help

Just hopeing so.me devs can help with recovery and member on android forums.com to develope a custom rom.
There's not much going on for this fone and I keep doing searches
And not finding any progress.

You're better off going here. I have to say, I hate visiting other sites besides XDA, but there's no Cliq 2 section.
There's lots of info there for Cliq 2 development, and some people got pretty far, but no custom roms yet. Since there never was a Cliq section, I don't know if we'll ever see a Cliq 2 section. Believe me Cliq has lots of support, and yet no XDA section. Cliq 2 is a way better phone, but I don't know if we'll ever see a XDA section for it.
my power button is completely hashed and i was hoping i could get some help with it,see i can turn it back but i just mash the flipout keyboard buttons intil it turns on

[Q] Hello From A Born-Again Android User

Hi guys!
I've been a member of XDA Forums, but it's been a while since I checked in. I originally joined when I bought the worst Android Phone ever....The HTC Aria. I put my sim in my old iPhone 3G and have been waiting to get a new Android phone since. I'm back on the wagon and just got an LG NITRO HD. I love this phone and am happy to be back with Android. I haven't modified this phone or screwed with it in any way, but there's always hope! I loved running the mods that I found here on my Aria and I loved Cyanogen 7. Has anyone run any of these ROMs on their Nitro and how do they run?
Anyways, I'm glad to back and I can still remember the thrashing I got from my fellow forum members when I asked stupid questions. I'm sure I'll see them again!
Gino
Currently there are only three roms for the nitro hd.
Kernalpan1c's mod is the one I use currently.
There is a rumor that there is a CM9 ICS coming out for it

Congrats on your purchase...I love my nitro. Can't wait to see ICS for it
I suggest you go to the development forum and take a look at whats available, root it and get cwm, if you feel.
Congrats...gerard mondais think alike
