72 Windows Phone 7 tips and tricks here:
http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/36413/72-windows-phone-7-tips
Top 10 are:
1. Using the Windows Phone 7 voice controls
Press and hold the Windows key at the bottom of your screen and you can start talking to your phone. Try saying "Open Calendar", to see what we mean.
2. Adding apps to the Start screen
When you are in the long applications list on your phone pressing on an icon and holding brings up a contextual menu that gives you a series of options, one of which is "pin to start". Press on this option and the app will be shown on the Start screen.
3. Add people to the start page
No it's not just about adding apps to the start page, but people too. Find them in your contacts book, click on the "pin" icon, and they'll be added to your Start page so you can speed dial them whenever you need.
4. Moving your tiles around
Adding a new app or tile to the Start screen will place it right at the bottom. If you want it to be elsewhere, press and hold on the tile in question and then you are free to move it up and down and rearrange your tiles to best suit your needs.
5. Removing apps from the Start screen
You like the app, but you don't really want it on your Start screen anymore. No worries. Hold your finger on the tile in question for a couple of seconds and when it highlights press the no pin icon in the top right-hand corner.
6. Uninstalling apps
You've tried it and you don't like it. No problem. Head over to the menu list and press down on the app in question until you get the contextual menu. Select uninstall and you're done.
7. Rating and reviewing apps
You really love the new app you've downloaded, so much so that you want to rate and review it so anyone else interested knows whether it's any good or not. With Windows Phone 7 you don't have to wait until you delete it to rate it, you can rate and review it at any time. Press and hold down on the app in question until that contextual menu appears and then choose "Rate and review". It will bring up another page allowing you to have your say and give it a rating out of five. Easy peasy.
8. How to change the theme
If you've got your Windows Phone 7 phone from Vodafone the theme is going to be all red, O2 is dishing out blue themes and Orange, orange ones. An all red themed phone might be a bit much (we hear you), but fret not as you can change the colour of the tiles and other features in the Setting area. Zip on over to the menu list, select Settings, and then Theme. Here you can choose the colour of the background and the accent colour. Background options are "Black" or "White" while you'll get nine accent colours to pick from. Lime, anyone?
9. Swipe to the left
Windows Phone 7 is built around the idea of panoramic tiles that you swipe to reveal more content off screen. It's always worth seeing if you can swipe to the left as there might be more stuff waiting to be revealed.
10. What are the dots?
Whenever you see three dots at the bottom of the screen, that's a menu for more options. In photo playback for example, it will give you the options to delete the image or perform a quick upload.

I have some few questions:
- How to quickly switch the phone to Silent mode/Vibrate, etc?
Press the volume button on the side and change from Ring to Vibrate and vicer versa
- How to quickly stop the audioplayer playing when you are somewhere else in the menu ?
Press volume button and audioplayer should show in a bar at the top and you can pause the song
- Why some album cover arts are wrong, or black in Zune?
Don't know, haven't noticed that yet
- Is there a way to change the music/audio settings (equalizer, bass, treble ?)
Download HTC App Sound Enhancer, allows some changes to be made.

A couple of tips from me.
Firstly - More for O2 members here regarding call waiting, call divert etc. All from the O2 website as their help desk aren't up to speed on the device yet:-
If you're not reachable, you can:
Activate diverts by pressing * * 62 * 901 # [send]
Cancel diverts by pressing # # 62 # [send]
Check the status of your divert by pressing * # 62 # [send]
To divert calls when your phone is busy:
Press * * 67 * 901 # [send] to activate
Press # # 67 # [send] to cancel
Check status by pressing * # 67 # [send]
To divert calls when there's no reply:
Press * *61 * 901 * 11 * number of seconds # [send]
Cancel by Pressing # # 61 # [send]
Check status by pressing * # 61 # [send]
Note: You only need to press * 11 * if you want to change the length of time your phone rings before it goes to Voicemail. It's normally set to 30 seconds, but if you prefer, you can amend this to 5 - 25 seconds in increments of five seconds.
To divert all calls:
Key * * 21 * 901 # [send]
Cancel by keying # # 21 # [send]
Check status by keying * # 21 # [send]
To cancel all your diverts:
Key # # 002 # [send]
Call waiting
Call waiting lets you take another call when you're already on the phone. Just dial *43# [send] and you'll be able to see if someone's trying to get through when you're already on a call. It's free to all O2 customers.
Have set but not fully tested any of this yet. The device confirms the settings when you send so I'm assuming it has worked.
Next set of tips is for those of you wanting to use Exchange (whether business or personal) rather than Live for your contacts and calendar.
Outlook in Office 2010 will enable you to have 2 Exchange accounts on the same profile!! This means that if you have a business and personal exchange account you can have them both open on one Outlook at the same time and it means ..... you can do the same drag and drop as if you had used the Outlook connector to link to Live!
When setting up the Exchange accounts on the phone, remember - the Server is the OWA address not the actual server address.

Found out how to cut down on the number of Facebook contacts:
From the microsoft website
By default, all of your Facebook friends appear as contacts on your phone. If you have lots of Facebook friends showing up in your contacts list, you can choose to only show friends who are already contacts on your phone. (So, if a Facebook friend is also a contact in Windows Live or Google, their Facebook information will still show up in your contacts list. All other friends will be hidden from the list.)
1 From Start, flick left to the Applications list and then press Settings.
2 Press Applications and then press People.
3 Under Include Facebook friends as contacts, press Only add Facebook information to existing contacts to filter out Facebook friends who don't already have a contact card on your phone.
Note
This option only filters Facebook friends from your contacts list in People. It doesn't change whose social updates you'll see in What's new.

Contacts from SIM
adrian-polglase said:
Unfortunately it's not simple. This is how I did it...
I synced my HD2 phone with Outlook, then downloaded the Hotmail Outlook Connector which allowed me to sign into my Windows Live Hotmail account through Outlook then Outlook shows me two accounts - my old ActiveSync Local account and my Windows Live Hotmail account and it's just then a simple case of clicking and dragging from one to the other. The Windows Phone 7 will then just sync the changes automatically from your Windows Live account.
or you can look here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-gb/howto/wp7/people/import-contacts-from-my-old-phone.aspx

contacts from Outlook to my phone.
sameerabedi said:
I managed to successfully transfer my contacts from Outlook to my phone. As advised I downloaded Outlook Hotmail Connector from here and installed it.
It didn't make any noticeable changes in Outlook.
I then set up my Hotmail account in Outlook which synced with all my existing Hotmail contacts (all 10 of them!)
I then proceeded to copy all my Outlook contacts to my Hotmail contacts in Outlook and then synced the Mozart with my Windows Live ID (ie my Hotmail) and all the Contacts that I copied synced across as well!
Long and inconvenient for my liking, but saves having to enter them all individually one by one.
I initially thought it didn't work, because when I logged into my Hotmail on the web, it doesn't update the Contacts on there, but after syncing with my phone, it was fine.
I'm now going to try the same for the Calender as well. EDIT: Works for Calender as well!
Hope that helps.

Creating a gold card
here is a way to get every stock rom on your HD7 phone.
(I tested it and it works )

Happy XMAS :
Go and get your WM7 or Android goldcard for free :
Link to the goldcard generator
In order to use the WM7 goldcard, just use an Host USB Cable (Developer Y-Cable) and connect a sdcard reader to it.
Edit :
For those who do not understand how to use the goldcard :
- Use any sdcard and a wm5 or android device to make the goldcard (Yet we do not know how to read the cid using WM7)
- Buy a Mini USB On the go Y-Cable like this one :
http://www.amazon.co.uk/DeLOCK-USB-...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1292614709&sr=8-1
Also buy a converter from standard usb to micro usb.
OR build a usb otg host cable by yourself.
- Get an external usb sdcard reader
- Connect the cable this way : Phone is connected to 1x usb sdcard reader and 1x usb port for power.
Then you can use your newly generated goldcard for flashing any HTC OEM Rom

To get your CID you need a wm 6.* phone and PSAS http://psas.revskills.de/
1) format your sd-card (fat) and put it in a wm6.* phone and sync it with the pc.
2) Install PSAS and run as admin.
3) goto calculators/generators
4) goto select a device key (pick any)
5) hit the "get sd card serial from WINCE device"
6) copy the generated key and paste it in "SD Card Serial (CID): *"on the goldcard generator web-page.
If you buy the software you can make your goldcards yourself http://psas.revskills.de/?q=payment

Just to clear things up :
1. The goldcard generator works currently for all WM7 HTC phones, including Mozart, Gold and Schubert.
2. Connect the y-cable with sdcard reader and inserted goldcard, connect power usb to notebook or charger.
3. Press camera+volume down+power on to enter the bootloader in host mode.
If you haven't got a y-cable (otg), you can build it by yourself, see attachment.

For me the headset & AV service work perfectly, straight away.

Apparently my old HTC Desire had these services (AV Source and Headset) but it always paired but didn't maintain a connection... no obvious reason, didn't bother to look up why lol.
I was just excited when as soon as I connected with my PC with WP7, the Headset service asked for permission and after that all phone audio came through!
Old news to some but it is really cool having your phone blast music through your PC speakers wirelessly absolutely no effort or hassle at all!
Edit: Even before the phone has fully booted it connects to the PC you even hear the keypresses to unlock the phone... simple things lol.

How to format your sd card to use it again on windows

So I was in the same boat you are in. Nothing could read the card except for my Nokia n97 mini. It recognized the card as "locked" and prompted for a password. I bypassed the prompt and went to the file manager. From there it let me format the card and it is back to normal. See, Symbian is good for something after all!
PS: I tried the same process with an E71 and had the same successful results. All recent Symbian phones should work as it appears they can handle the encryption and password. The card is now happily back in my HTC EVO.

My normal live account is a mess with contacts and e-mails so I didn't connect my normal account to it because windows phone 7 automaticly sync's with it and mine people tabs was a real mess, so i had to revert to factory settings, and start over again, keep that in mind.
as far as i've played with it today it works like a charm and I think this OS will be more mainstream than the old windows mobile OS'es because it's far more user friendly.
BTW: i'm from holland to

Had Rhodium for a month, have a handful of questions

Hi, I came from the Wizard and am still learning my Rhodium, I have a few questions that will probably give me a "shoulda had a V8" moment once I hear the answers, but I will ask anyway...
1- how do I set speed dial?
On my wizard I was able to assign a button to a person and just press and hold.
2- is there any way/program to create a zoom function on the camera?
3- how do I make a tab/shortcut to NOTIFICATIONS?
4- I installed a Facebook app, other than putting it in the start menu or in the programs tab, is there a way I can create a dedicated tab (like people, calendar, messages, settings, etc) to go to Facebook?
5- where the heck do I put tunes I want to use as an alarm sound (not to be confused with ringtones)?
Thanks in advance for your input.
Here's me smacking my forhead...Shoulda had a V8!!

I have tried dropping my sounds into the main windows directory, but when I go to set an alarm, it isn't reading my tunes. Perhaps there is a size limit or is it wav specific? I have even tried naming the file alarm-name as I have seen that in windows. I have tried resetting my device...nothing.
Do you have any idea what I may be doing wrong?
Again, thank you.

Thank you, I didnt even know that, I should have RTFM LOL! but thank you!
It took me some time to figure out what the hell the zoom bar was, but now I think I have it.
I will try converting my files to wav format and maybe the alarms will work.
Setting a speed dial contact is next on my list.
Thank you for all the advice so far!!
Now does anyone have any idea if I can make a dedicated tab for Facebook, and also how to make a shortcut or tab for notifications?
Thanks in advance.
I am still trying to make more prominent/easier shortcuts or actual TF3 tabs for Facebook and notifications.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
I do have the Facebook app loaded in the programs tab and in the start menu. What I'd like to do is have an actual TAB...like Home, Weather, Programs...Facebook.

As far as I know those are preset into the 3d software, so its either going to have to be an update or one of the gurus here will have to hack the system.
For alarms, I like to use spoon alarm, it seems to work much much better at finding songs to use as alarms (and its really easy to use). Only thing thats no good is that you can't set multiple alarms like the windows one. Plus every soft reset you will have to reload spoon alarm for it to go off, but you can play music

To get them to show up for notifications and events:
- WAV files go in \Windows.
- MP3 & WMA files can work too, but you have to put them into \Application Data\Sounds
This should be the same for the alarm sounds, but I haven't actually used the alarm on mine yet (had it about 2 weeks).

Short list for now, but people should add... Maybe give the devs some ideas of stuff to make and submit.
1. Comm Manager - I hate having to goto 5 spots to turn stuff off and on when i dont need it. (3g while at home with my wi-fi, no thanks)
2. Ring Profile - Like NightMode or WorkMode... nice and quick to swap out Tones and Volume levels.
If there is any dev that would like to pick my brain on features and stuff, feel free to PM me.
Everyone else submit your thoughts and ideas...
I would lik an easy to use SMS backup, or record to calendar utility.
I could definitely use a tile that toggles the data connection ON and OFF with a single click. The same goes for the WiFi connection.
Yes - +1 for a live tile to toggle wifi on/off
Also, some kind of 'handsfree' app that will set the phone to auto answer calls and turn on speaker phone (for use in car etc)
SSH client...
Wish List for Apps
1. WP7 Taks List that syncs with Outlook Task
2. File Explorer app that allows me to manual copy files into WP7 or out from WP7, nevermind if it's a separate storage aread away for the system stuff, i just need to use some of the 16GB hanging on the phone that I can use easily...
3. Any App that allows me to read right managed emails...
1. tcpmp player and the ability to add .avi files so I don't have to convert them. (if there is a way to play them without converting please let me know, I download a lot of tv shows through graboid and like to watch them on my phone.
2. psx emulator with bt syncing capability to either a wii remote or ps3 remote.
3. phone number blocking program
Multimessenger (ICQ, JABBER, Live!)
I would like a call manager program like Magicall for WM6. It filters phone calls and SMS's through a user-defined rule set. Not sure if WP7 is even capable of this yet, given the multitasking setup it currently has.

I second this man. Also a port of CallCalendar and something to record calls.
We are getting some nice ideas going, just hoping we have some devs reading this that would be willing to tackle these requests and make some people happy (and some cash for the effort)
some of these aren't possible on the platform yet, but keep them coming

"My first 10 days with Windows Phone 7"

I found this post on WP Central from a user by the name of "StrkerGT" and I have to agree with his findings and needs.
StrykerGt:
I jumped on the wagon on November 8 and got the Samsung Focus. I sold my iPhone 4 and I decided to keep it knowing that there are a lot of things missing on this OS but I know (if Microsoft really cares) will fix as soon as possible… Here is my list on the things that I consider missing in the telephone. I put them in order of FIX THIS NOW!!! to what I like in the future.
FIX THIS NOW!!!!!!!
• Visual Voicemail – Whoever decided to release the OS to the market without this should get fired right now! Come on Microsoft it is 2010 (almost 2011) this feature alone makes the phone look outdated. Please fix this a.s.a.p. I love to show off the telephone until someone asks to see the vm. This is inexcusable on this type of smartphone. Shame on you Microsoft!
• Global Address List - we have an Exchange Server 2003 (We have plans to upgrade to 2010 next year) in my company and it’s a pain to look for the contacts. Try to tell your boss about how awesome is the Windows Phone 7 OS and then tell him that in order to access the contacts on the GAL he has to put the address manually! This is something like the Visual Voice that has to be fixed now!
• HTML 5 – When I noticed that Microsoft put an already obsolete version of IE on the new Windows Phone 7 software without support for HTML 5 I said like in the WP7 ads, “Really?!” How come Microsoft that is telling everywhere that they are committed to HTML5 didn’t include it on the WP7 OS. Again, Microsoft, Really?!
• VPN Support - again come on!
• Marketplace Search – Hey Microsoft how about this, on the Marketplace put an option in Bing to filter what you want like apps, music etc. I hate to do a search for an app and get a bunch of other stuff like album, artist, song etc. The way you do it on the games hub is excellent please do the same in the Zune hub. I don’t go to the Zune hub to look for apps.
• Some kind of multi-tasking is much needed on this telephone Microsoft, get to work on this.
• SkyDrive Access I love the Skydrive concept but is completely ridiculous that I can put the files on the cloud but there is no way to access my documents directly on the phone. Something like Dropbox would be great.
• A favorite list for your contacts is a must, I really like the way this phone organize the contacts, but you always have that special list with contact you use more like family, friends etc. I don’t like to scroll to several work and business contacts to get what I need.
• Back Up/Restore – Please do something quick about this, there is no way to back up your settings, saved games, outlook configuration (certificates) downloaded apps etc. You have to re-download and re-configure everything every time that you reset your phone.
• Save Camera settings – It’s absurd to set everything every time that you use the camera. I feel like I have to put a flash bulb every time that I use the camera.
The things I want to see soon:
• I noticed that the telephone only vibrate once when you get a phone call. This is not good Microsoft. It should do both in case you have your telephone in the pocket or in a place with too much ambient noise.
• I’ll like to see the battery percentage on the notification bar. (I know the telephone already shows that information through one of the hacks but it will be great if I can see it easily.)
• Easier way to find the IP and MAC address. Again, (I know the telephone already shows that information through one of the hacks but it will be great if I can see it easily.)
• Add vibration to the Alarms
• Disable keys when playing games or at least pop a menu asking if you want to quit the app like the Facebook app.
• Run downloaded app directly from Marketplace
• Open file from any applications - example, open PDF files from Homepipe
• Unified Inbox or a mail Hub
• IE Address Bar in landscape mode
• Answer phone call when swipe up the lock screen
• Drop-Down notifications
• Outlook notifications (notification bar at the top, i.e. like receiving text messages)
• Volumes controls for Music, Notifications, Games, Alarms, etc.
• Market Place updates need to show what the update changes are.
I think that’s all for now, I’m planning to keep this phone because I know that this platform has a lot of room to grow but there are some things that have to be addressed now to put this platform on par with what other are already offering.
wsantiagow, your list is interesting and I agree with the vast majority of your points.
Especially this one:

Mine works just fine. If you hit the search button in the People Hub you have an option to search the Exchange server. The same option appears when you're addressing an email message. We use Exchange 2007. Maybe it's 2003 that doesn't support it.

WiKi - "Visual voicemail is voice mail with a visual interface. Such an interface presents a list of messages for playback and may include a transcript of each message."
You may not notice anything special about it but try having a telephone that does not support it and you are trying to find a message from 100 voicemails. Non visual voicemail phones have to dial a number to get your messages and go one by one to find the one you are looking for.

Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Maybe it is a carrier feature because I don't have anything of the sort on my iPhone here. I can get a text message notifying me about who just left a voicemail and a number to tap and listen to the thing. Can't imagine when this wouldn't be enough. Rarely even have voicemail on - if I'm not available people text me, send emails, or use a gazillion of other methods to keep in touch.
Guess the love for answering machines is just a local US thing.

Are Windows phones 7 right now with this feature on other carriers? EU or in the US? If that true then I'll change the list and put the blame on AT&T. I just hate to have to dial a telephone number hear a recorded message with options, press key to hear the voicemail in sequencial order press more keys to delete o hear it again. This is ridiculous, its the same method of any cheap flip phone out there since the last 15 years. AT&T support this on the iPhone since day one so I don't see why they won't allow it for this telephones.

Should be preloaded on your HD2 if you still have the stock rom, otherwise you need to find a cab for Windows Mobile, however if you have Android on your HD2, then it should be in the market place under Visual Voicemail, has a magenta colored logo

Trust me, your life will only be better. Those who really need to tell you something or have you call back will easily find a way to communicate. Those who just waste your time won't do it.

$2.99 a month for this on Vzw ? I guess I'll stick with the old method.
After insurance, Data, text messages, taxes and all the other crap vzw charges me with...
I like my Focus but the iPhone 4 kicks it ass in every way except reception. I can't imagine Microsoft is sitting on it's collective hands doing nothing and hopefully there's an upgrade that's pretty inclusive of everything you've mentioned, hopefully it's soon and hopefully we don't get jerked around by the carriers again, as usual. Patience is a virtue, especially when you own the latest and barest. That having been said, however, with a little more than 2 weeks left to evaluate the Focus, I think I'm keeping it and selling the iPhone, the main reason being potential. The iPhone is close to running out of steam while WP7 has a huge amount of potential.

I mean NOBODY would find it itself.

The purpose for these types of apps isn't really to send yourself a bookmark for a main website, but more to send a complicated link to save you typing in a 180 character or so URL into your HD7, or having to open up your email and copy / paste a link to yourself (spamming your own email in the process).
For example; I'm on my PC browsing deviant art and I see a cool image that would make a great lockscreen wallpaper for my HD7. I right click somewhere on the page, select "Send to Windows Phone". I pick up my phone, open the "Send to WP7" app, and there's my link to that page. I can now use that image as my wallpaper.
Similarly, if you're reading an article on some website and you've got to get to work but want to finish reading that article on the bus, just send it to yourself with this app and easily pick up the same page on the bus!
It's an incredibly handy and ingenious app in my opinion... with lots of ingenious uses if you can think them up.
I sent a question to the dev that I haven't seen an update for - how to remove those darned links when you're done with them. Until then, the app is useless for me, but it does have potential...

There is now an alternative paid-for app called Browser to WP7 that works on the same idea except it allows links and text to be deleted. It also categorises them in the app and allows you to share them by sms, email, search with bing etc.
I'm waiting to see if Send to WP7 gets any future updates because it's currently free and works pretty well for me.

Hey guys - never noticed this thread until today. I am the author of Send to WP7.
Send to WP7 has the ability to delete links (as of the update several days ago - I was stuck in limbo for several weeks. )
Multi-delete is coming in an application update next week.
Send to WP7 has a live tile # indicating how many links you need to download to the phone. You can already send a link via SMS or Email, just tap and hold, select 'Show All', and then click the mail icon. I'll add more options to the 'right-click' menu soon. I didn't think there was much of a reason for things like 'Search with Google' or 'Search With Bing' (wouldn't you have just done these things on your PC anyway?), but I may add things like that in the future.
Send to WP7 will remain free.
Apologies to the OP for not understanding how to setup the software, I still assert that it is not very complicated if you just read the instructions carefully. I do think I need some updates/screenshots to the setup page, though. On that note, I was never able to figure out how to configure 'Browser to WP7' to use anything but Chrome...
I thought it was simple to use and easy to setup but then again I've been using Chrome to Phone for ages with my Desire now.

Hi cxkx -
Note that Send to WP7 Desktop is an alpha release, I have not built any functionality into the phone app to support it yet. In it's current state, it is best for transferring files. Sending an SMS or Email does "work", but you'll then have to tap & hold the item and select Send via mail. The real name for these items should be something like "prepare SMS/mail."
Again just note that this is all in flux, but I wanted to get it out there so those who really wanted the functionality could have it immediately.

Yes, you enter a message (and optionally a destination contact number, but this won't work until I add support into the phone app itself) and click send. The message is sent to your phone using exactly the same means as the note. If you have enabled push notifications, you'll get a toast. Tap and hold the entry on the phone, and select 'Send info via SMS'. It is not the most elegant procedure, I know...
I ve tried sending the clipboard contents but it didnt work, anything I copy in iexplorer though can be send, maybe a plain html page where you can write and then send using the accelerator will do the trick. Keep on the good work!

"It didn't work" is not useful for anyone trying to solve any kind of problem. If you'd like help in configuring the desktop software (I suspect that is the only problem you're having), email me the log (located at %localappdata%\sendtowp7desktop\log.txt) to dave at dave amenta dot com.

I'm not sure why it says the program is executing from C:\Windows\system32, maybe that is related. Usually ClickOnce will set that to your profile (e.g. C:\Users\CK)
It appears that you're getting jumplist callbacks for sending notes, but nothing else - they all use exactly the same mechanism so I'm not sure what'd cause that. It appears you are using a localized version of Windows, what language/locale are you using?

How to (Possibly) change your windows live ID

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND BACKUP! UNCONFIRMED!
To do this you need to have my Supreme Shortcuts application installed on your phone. This is not in the marketplace and you need a dev unlock or something similar to install it. At this point I STRONGLY suggest backing up your phone. I have NO IDEA if this really works and I have NOT tried it myself. Once you do that open the application and scroll down to "Live ID Setup". Pin it to your start screen using the check box or click the "?" button and a screen you havent seen since your last reset/purchased your phone will appear.

Anyone willing to test this out now that Microsoft is allowing you to change your live ID to an Outlook.com address?
Hello guys.
I created a new outlook account today. I went to my xbox and transfered my previous account to my new outlook account.
After doing that, I used IDSwitch an application that is available on Bazaar to change my windows live id to my new outlook account.
The only thing I lost were my contacts but microsoft offers you some tools to backup and restore your contacts trough their live and outlook sites.
Restoring your contacts to messenger will take some days, though. Since the tool for sending messenger invitations in the outlook sites blocks you from sending many invitations at once.
Anyway, I recommend that you backup your phone before trying this. And prepare to lose everything you have bought...
It worked really well for me and I got to keep everything I have bought , my achivements and everything (Except contacts)
.... but it could be a different case for you.
Good luck! =)
Purchases are tied to your Gamertag, not your email account. Your Gamertag is tied to your email account, but that association can be changed. Move your gamertag onto your new outlook.com email account, and you'll have your apps and music and whatnot back again.
Has anyone actually tried this? Really hopeful that it does, I could use this...

this doesn't work
it allows you to change it, and if you try purchase anything from an app store it comes with with a slightly ironic message telling you theres a problem with your ID and you should try a different one.
