Ok so i have been looking around for a while and so far can not seem to find a stand alone black vanilla lock screen mod . I am looking for the zip where the actual bars you drag over are black instead of white. I have seen many in themes (see MattedBlues for an example) but cant seem to find a standalone one i can flash over my current vanilla lockscreen.
Anyone able to help me out if you have found one with a link?

I've been working on a theme, mainly for myself but I will probably upload it if anyone is interested. My question is how can I change the pull down bar image and background for the notification, I have found that some themes do this, but I have searched everywhere with no explanation of how. I found an image that looks like a pull down bar but its a 9 patch image. (is there any progress on using the 9 patch tool in the SDK to change these?)
PS. The background in the attached shot is not part of theme, I think it will work with any dark background. Also not sure if I am going to bother to change any of the icons at this stage, maybe later on.

At the moment, all I have changed is the status bar background, the App Menu dragbar at the bottom, the google search widget and the clock. I will look into making different version once I have finished it (first version is going to be RC8)
What is it that varies between firmwares that requires different versions? Is it the contents of the Framework-Res.apk and Launcher different for RC8, RC30, ADP1 etc?

The wallpaper (which I got from an app in the market) wasn't really part of the theme per se, its just the one I am using currently, though I think it looks good. RE: original question I kinda worked it after now, just editing the 9 patch images for the search bar and notification and it worked ok.
where is the notification bar image though?
Wow look nice. Here were did you got that bbc new app. I did a search for it in the android app store and nothing came up.
this is for people who don't won't the bugs with magic rom but like the looks .theme still in the works and added some htc magic wallpaper on post two. don't need to install rc33 light or move sound files .

1.first you need root and jf rc33 (1.42)
2.just change the name to update.zip and add it to your phones sd card
4.shut the phone off and boot your phone in to recovery mode by holding the home+(red)power button until you get to a android system recovery screen
5.then press ALT+S .. and there your done

sweet!! what i never really liked about the original default was the Browser icon, drove me crazy lol (hated it) but despite the fact everyone here in xda has made amazing themes, i still love the original status bar the best! thank u for this!

i did have the icon you have in it but i like the one i have .both icons are used depending on the magic build.i think the one i have looks good with the calender and contacts icon but if more people like the one you posted i will add it when i add the dialer first i need to make it.
This was a smooth idea making this theme its cool as hell more up to date than the original default theme.
I like that icon so i made a few edits and will be adding to my bettercut icon pack. Thanks
the new icon is nice i agree its funny the first theme i started out with was deep black now im back to ur theme are u going to change the gesture unlock kinda hard to see the circles

I love the white notification bar of stock android, its just nicer to me, so you can see why the black one is a problem.

Flash a new theme...search for DetoxEVO by konicub...it is a white theme
another white theme is snowtheme Aloysius. by the same person.

If you don't want a theme then just download an AOSP look alike ROM...
I know how you feel, I too wanted a white notification bar and didn't want to leave my preferred rom to do so. I found Konikub had made a nice file to change it. Check it out at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=707447
Not sure who to ask or if it can be done but is there any way to get some of the add on HTC Widgets themed? The theme looks amazing and really like the task widget that you download from the more Widgets section but it really throws off the theme having the big yellow notebook with everything else being a pearly white and translucent black. Is this possible and if so how would it be added since the original has to be downloaded from HTC?
Over 60 veiws and no ideas on how to do it or if it can be done? Does anyone know were I would find the file that has the imiges and fonts for for the widget. Maybe I can pull them and try to change it myself to where it matches up a little better then put them back? I'm not sure how this works but I can give it a try I guess. Lol.
I am looking for a relatively simple theme for stock ICS, all I want are things like the app circle, (if possible) the google bar at the top, text, and everythingelse possible in ICS Blue/black and if it isn't a pain, have the home screen horizontal scroll bar black with a blue curser like in the app menu. I have tried changing some of the .png files but don't know the location of all the files nor know how to edit .9.png files. It should be easy for anyone with half a brain, maybe time consuming though with all the files to change. If anyone can give me a detailed tutorial (haven't found a really easy-to-follow one yet) or make it for me, it would be appreciated. Thanks.
