Questions about Sense (HD) UI and Themes! - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there.
There are a few niggles i have with Sense (HD)!
One of them is the fading animations - On a non-sense rom, the toast notifications and the menu you get (when you press, uh, menu), fade in very smoothly. In sense, the same notifications and menus kind of 'appear' halfway and then fade in the rest. It looks a little jumpy. Is it possible to alter this?
Also, the 'themes' that you can download through sense, where do get get downloaded to? I want to make a frankentheme with parts of them.
Thanks!
Josh.

Questions on Myn's Warm 2.2

I really like this ROM, but there are a couple of things I would like to change, and I just don't know how. If anyone can help me, I'd be really grateful...
1) I would like to keep the transparent status bar, but I would prefer all the stock icons. How can I do this?
2) I would like to use stock widgets not themed ones, is there a way to do this? The reason is that when I download additional widgets from HTC, the look is not consistent. If there is a way to theme the other widgets, I would like that even better.
3) I like the transparent launcher, but some of the buttons do not "light up" when you touch them. The behavior is inconsistent - a small thing, but annoying. If I could move the buttons further apart, I would like that too - like the Lowrider launcher.
Thanks in advance for your help...
Matt_TX.
PS: If these things are fixed in RLS3 I would be happy to donate to myn (in fact I will do so anyway as he has done great work) please let me know...
What I would do is grab a stock rom, pull the apks and other files you want to stay stock then use them to replace the same files in Myn's rom and then flash that. You might have to sign the zip, but I'm not sure and no guarantee that this won't break other stuff.
I love this tom but one thing is ticking me off. If I play my music with headphones on. The sounds keep fading in and out. How can I fix this?
I am also looking for the stock icons in notification bar, while leaving the bar opaque black (instead of transparent in your case).
Edit: nvm did this myself.
Do you have compression selected under the DSPManager. When I unselected it it stopped doing that for me.

lockscreen and answerscreen

Hello, I'd like to know if it's possible to change the lockscreen to something like htc's theme : sense - slate
and I'd also like to change my answer screen to the same style
drag down the slider to answer, or up to decline
I'm using litening rom 1.4 and I avoided the market lockscreens, I feel like they don't integrate that well with the system.
thanks
Try widgetlocker.hI
WidgetLocker worked perfectly for me. Big THANKS! Even let me remove the default lockscreen completely. As result it runs actively all the time so that it can activate the widget locker when needed but it has barely made use of the battery which is good.
The only issue I've seen is a slight flicker when unlocking (hardware key) the phone where you see a frame or two of the screen for a split second after which the lockscreen comes up but this issue has also been on and off.
Definitely recommend it.

[Theme Request] Mass Effect for Synergy RLS1

I have no idea how to theme. Otherwise I'd start taking this upon myself.
I'd love seeing (and helping be a part of creating) a Mass Effect, full immersion theme for Synergy. I saw an INSANE theme for WP7 of Fallout, and made me realize the potential a ME theme could have. Some ideas I have had are:
Custom created icons. (Not sure if possible, but to have the icons, and widgets (as much as possible) enveloped in the orange 'holo-armor' being shown in ME3 would be SICK!)
Using the Terminals backdrop (Static-y and basic) and random audio excepts from the news reports on the games used as bootscreens.
When moving icons, wrapping them in the biotic fields.
Skinning mail, message, and music apps in a Mass Effect-esque fashion. Fonts, backgrounds, so forth.
Not sure if any of this stuff is possible, but it'd be cool as hell.
Hey just a heads up you might want to move this thread to themes and mods before you get flamed out of here.
My bad, must have posted in the wrong open window. :/
Here, doh_tee. This is a boot animation, you may recognize it as one of the loading animations from Mass Effect 2?
Took some effort, and lost some sleep due to the challenge, but I hope this adds on to your Mass Effect theme needs!

Sense animations vs AOSP animations

So lately i have been changing roms very frequently and one thing i noticed was that sense animations are aweful.Every thing is jittery in comparison to AOSP animations. For example i just installed a miui rom based on ics build 2.17 and the smoothness of the animations just give a more professional look.If you want to find out what i'm talking about, open up whatsapp(in a sense rom) if you have it,open a conversation and then tap the bottom bar to open keyboard. After that press the home button. You will see a jittery animation before you are returned to the home screen.
I don't know if anyone else is annoyed by it but if someone is i propose we set out to find a solution.I am not that experienced but i am willing to learn if somebody can point me in the right direction.

[Q] Status bar/Quick settings mod?

Since HTC 10 has Sense8_GP, it has the stock SystemUI. I think a HTC-stock-ish UI could be achieved with some tinkering.
Can somebody make the icons have a line below them, and use the old icons?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=elsalvador.htcsense7cm12theme
And activate the 3x3 layout somehow, like on CM13, to look like the regular Sense?
(Btw, i've noticed that the HTC Desire 10 has the old icons on the status bar... That means it has the regular Sense. So maybe in the future, a ported System UI from that phone might be possible?)
The 2nd screenshot shows a VibeUI theme for CM13/12.x. Is the only photo i found with the 3x3 layout without installing CM13 just to take a screenshot.
I'd be very much up for this as well—I cannot stand the new QS.
When I was using the M8 (back around May or June this year), I flashed the "S Rom" which had ported a ton of features from the HTC 10...one of which was the HTC 10 QS (the same ones we have natively in our stock ROM for the HTC 10).
Not liking the QS then either, I inquired of the rom's dev if I could get the "old" quick settings back, and somehow I was able to. Unfortunately, I cannot remember if getting the old QS was the result of a specially modified S Rom for the M8, or if it was just a mod I flashed. If the latter, it wouldn't be too hard to tear that mod apart to see what code was changed (which I suspect is in the SystemUI.apk).
I'll look it into as soon as I have a moment.
Yeah. Comparing the files would be too hard and would take way too much time.
One other thing i dont really like (and you would probably think the same) is the volume control pop-up. Being at the top if pretty hard to reach with one hand, because the display is so big.
I liked the one from Sense 7, Android 5.1.1, because it was in the middle of the screen where was easy to reach.
I wonder if anybody could move it a bit lower.
Update: HTC Desire 10 Pro only has the Sense icons in the status bar. The QS is the same as on HTC 10.
It kinda looks like an A9.
I've seen a review on YT of a demo unit.
HTC One M9 just received Nougat and it has the regular UI.
And even Google Pixel has a HTC-ish SystemUI (gray background with blue elements)... Well it was made by HTC afterall.
I wonder if those can be ported...
