Hello guys I'm trying to install apps but it says download unsuccessful. I tried with all apps gives me a same message. Anyone experiencing this?
Try clearing the cache from the market app in manage applications.

I did still no luck
Check how much space you have left, if you have less than i believe 12-15 mb(can't remember exact figure) Market won't let u install applications

Hopefully someone can help.. NEW market will not install or even download anything. I flashed OLD market and 99% of all apps download (some still say download failed right away), some will update no problem.. OTHERS will not . I look in catlog when the install of the update fails.. for instance I tried to update a program called SOUND HOUND.. it downloads but fails the install.
You see in CATLOG this error :
DexInv : --- END '/data/app/com.melodis.midomiMusicIdentifier-2.apk --- status=xff00, process failed
and also
dexopt failed on /data/dalvik-cache/[email protected]@com.
What does this mean and how to resolve? why do some apps update fine and others get this kind of error?
Well I think I fixed it. Old market is the only one that works. New one won't download or install. I had to erase davlik cache and then market data and goggle services framework data. It appears the new market has issues as there is a big discussion on the google market forum. Glad someone was able to send me the old market.
Oh yea. I also had to uninstall an app and then reinstall the same app from the market and it fixed the issue.

I couple of days ago I installed the official RRU for Gingerbread but found it had too many issues with Wifi so I temp rooted it and downgraded it back to stock 2.2.
However I have been having serious issues with downloading apps off the Market since then. Whenever I try to do this I just get a 'Download was unsuccessful. Please try again' error message. I have tried to wipe the market, market updater and download manager cache but this does not fix the issue. I've also tried factory resets and that hasn't solved the issue either. The issue occurs on both Wifi and 3G. Strangely I can still install apps using the Market website (http://market.android.com).
I thought it may be an issue with the phone but after a factory reset I signed up to a new Google Account and I can download apps fine with that. However, I need to use my main Google Account as it has all of my contacts and app purchases on there.
Any help with sorting this out would be greatfully appreciated as it's becoming really frustrating for me.
I am having this exact same issue. I cannot download any apps from the market.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Can anyone point me in the direction of a fix for this problem (note that I HAVE searched). When I try to update an app in the market I get "Unknown error during application install "-110""

Problem fixed, for future reference, if you have this problem in the future just go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Market> the hit Uninstall updates, clear cache and clear data (although clear data isn't really necessary it's just suggested).
I'm having the same problem, had to uninstall facebook because it keep syncing and wouldn't stop. So it would drain my battery really quick.
I used Rom Toolbox to remove HTCFacebook from the photo and tried installing facebook from the market and I got the 110 error message then tried installing it again and it installed but won't run.
IDK if this has something so do with Energy SensationXL Sense 3.5 Rom I have installed.
Your best bet is to clear cache and data from market app then restart phone. If that doesnt work you can reflash the same rom you have and repeat above mentioned proccess then see if it works

I recently bought galaxy grand. Phone is absolutly awesome. But facing one issue unable to install stick cricket game
When I try to install an apk gettong X Application not installed msg. When I try to download frm playstore getting error during application installed 24
Before grand I used galaxy ace. In that mobile I installed stick cricket then installed patcher to crack it.
I founf an article in xda states that the problem due to same application with diff signature found in device. Once rooted delete the app entry frm data/data will solve the issue.
I dont want to take risk to do rooting and by losing my warranty.
I tried few things firsy did factory reset twice. Then clear cache in play store and downloads But i still unable to solve the issue.
Pls help me to solve the issue...

You should only worry about the problem of "same application with different signature" if you have installed the game or patcher before the game itself and it's reading it in your memory already. But either way, there is absolutely no reason for root in this case.
Try these,
Have you tried re-downloading apk from a different source?
Check your internal memory in Storage, 4.2.2 had a bug of showing too much memory full - wiping gallery cache and data and reboot fixes this
Check if the game is compatible with i9082 according to play store
If none of them work, link the app (not an apk, just the play store link will do) here and I'll see if I can install it
Am trying to install whatsapp in my phone but it saying x app can not be installed yet it was there before what can I do
Plz help
Or just shut down, remove and reinsert your battery. Make sure to uninstall any apps you don't use to free up space, also uninstall previous versions of the same app currently installed on your device. Double check the apk files you download and be sure they were completely copied or downloaded android app not installed
Hey there!
I get 941 error when installing apps way more often than on any other phones I used. I cleared cache & data for the play store (I also uninstalled updates) and the download manager, that didn't help much because almost every 4th app gives this error. Then I cleared cache & data for the play services, it's better now, but I still get the same error sometimes.
Anybody experiencing this or similar? Also, is there any way to fix this other than the 3 clears I mentioned above? Thanks in advance!
Try to delete the data of play store app. Worked for me
I already did that two times, and it didn't even solve the problem temporarily :/ Thanks for the tip, though.
Hm... Thes try to delete your Google account and add it new :fingers-crossed:
I used to get it every time. Cleared app data and cache which has helped.
I just get the occasional error now and again.

edit the host or just delete it(system/etc/host) file then u good to go
i get this all the time now, ever since my phone went to lg for repair. i get the 941 error, then i click install and its installed fine...weird
update: Reading another thread on the forum, if you uninstall the updates for the google play store, that stops the 941 error, but be aware that the play store will update itself as soon as it can. ive turned off auto updating so i'll see if that helps
