Long ago when i rooted it had that boot animation, once flashed to a diff rom i lost it. Anyone have that file for our evos...? Thanks

Im guessing it was from one of the PC36xxx.zip files when gaining root access?
Just download the zip file to your computer, unzip, navigate to the bootanimation folder and take the files out.

I was looking for it myself.. I found one but it was HVGA, I then realized that the new Desire HD ROMs had them, so if you dig through the ROM you'll be able to extract it from there.

Haha, I am currently using that one for my custom ROM. You can get it from my ROM or you can just download the MANUP theme and rip it out of there. That is how I got it on mine.
I used it when I got epic failz trying to make my own custom boot animation. The animation looks fine, just could not get it to work.
That or just flash the Manup theme and it will replace automatically with that one.

ok so this is the stock android boot image where ANDROID in android font flashes across the screen. there is no lag and looks very nice. follow the steps bellow to install.
WARNING - ANYTHING THAT MODIFIES THE FILES ON YOUR PHONE MAY DAMAGE IT. ONLY FOLLOW THE STEPD BELLOW IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!
To be able to do this you will need root explorer.
you can buy this off the android market or find it online
1 - install root explorer onto your phone trough some sort of file manager
2 - download the bootanimation.zip file from the link below
3 - place it in the root of your sd card ( if on the xda app it will be in your downloads folder)
4 - open root explorer and switch to be able to write
5 - copy the boot.img file from your sd card to system/media and delete the boot image or animation already there( if that doesnt work try data/local )
6 - reboot your phone to make sure the boot animation is working properly

are you posting a link to download a paid app for free?
I didn't know it could boot from a .img file. I thought only zips would work.
I might have to give this a try just to see.

Unfortunately I have to disagree. This is the stock built in bootanimation. You don't need any special files to envoke it.
If you simply remove the /system/media/bootanimation.zip you get the same results.
Don't take it the wrong way, perhaps you were just miss informed.

didnt know that
i tried deleting the boot up file...
And for the boot up sound how do I change that?
sgs tools doesnt work...
First off are you rooted? Second are you running a custom rom? If these apply then it should be as easy as replacing the bootanimation.zip file of your choice in the "system/media" folder.

Correct me if I'm wrong (anyone) but I think as of now there's no boot animations mods for ee03 (GB).

Sorry can't (don't know how to) post links using the xda app. Just look under the "themes and app" section and you'll see a few posts on boot animation. There's different types but the method is the same. Again it depends if your running a custom rom

Someone posted not to long ago that ee03 natively supported bootanimation.zips
if not then find nubecoders thread about tricking the stock system to run boot zips
Hi
Does anybody have a CWM flashable Zip for the Nexus4 Boot Logo.
Just flashed a ROM & I have the boring old "Android" on startup.
I'd like to have the glowing Nexus "X" logo back again
Thanks.:good:
I'd just download a ROM with it and extract it. However, you might like this. Don't remember where i found it but it matches the nexus perfectly.
Here's a better idea of what you're looking at.
you mean boot animation
I use the bootanimation provided above and like it. Works on my Galaxy Nexus also.
Here's the link for the original X from the Nexus One. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1402764 I actually prefer this over the new X.
Tried flashing this in CWM and nothing changed...

What he said. Unless the person who posted it says its a flashable bootanimation.
To verify, open up the zip file. If it's a bunch of folders named /part0/ /part1/ etc then its not flashable.
Flashable: has a folder to /data/... or /system/media
chances are they're not flashable. but open to check.
Same here,
after I tried to get a custom boot animation it only shows the default "android" logo on boot.
I messed with the premissions in /styem/media/ can I revert that ?
+1 for the idea of a flashable version - specifically one compatible with Cyanogenmod
I have been running nightlies via CyanDelta and would LOVE to have a bootanimation zip that I could plop in the auto-install script to bring back the stock Nexus 'x' boot. Sadly every flashable bootanimation for the original nexus logo I have tried seems to install the files in the wrong location for CM.

store the bootanimation in /data/local/
after flashing a new nightly or whatever, it will keep your bootanimation. only way for it to reset is if you do a factory reset. enjoy.
(worked on my galaxy nexus, not sure if it works on N4 but it should, try it, shouldnt harm you.. pretty positive that its the same on N4)
edit: the bootanimation i linked earlier is a cwm flashable one. to manually do it just extract bootanimation.zip from the zip file downloaded.

Thanks for the tip! Just tried the manual push to /data/local but no joy. Upon boot it was blank, and the nightly flash restored the CM default in any event. Might be a permissions issue - should 644 and be owned by system, correct?
Does anyone have a method to change the boot logo i.e. the Google logo?
I'm looking to personalise it.

You're welcome.
Its a flashable zip too. Worked on my AOKP ROM back in the day, along with cyanogen.
Just read that threads OP. He himself extracted it from his G Nex, so it *TECHNICALLY SPEAKING* is safe to flash on our phones. But still, remember to have a nandroid for any *just in case* moment.

used to be able to do this on my Droid 1 and loved messing with it. It's not part of the kernel so it must be boot loader... do we have any way of tearing that down? I'm assuming we'd have to be unlocked... ha. Would love it if someone more knowledgeable would chime in.... thanks.
OK so this is my first attempt at making a custom boot animation, It may not be perfect as I've never edited video like this before, but I use it on my One and it works like a dream, it's also a little longer than your usual boot animation, but it does kinda show off the phone a bit more itself too. I've also included the audio that I use with this too.
animation consists of parts from the HTC Promo Ad and also i believe the beats part comes from the HTC Sensation XL boot up.
I have also uploaded a Video Preview here: Video
UPDATE 05/09/2013: Here is a flashable zip for people using MaximusHD ROM: HTC-One-Beats_customboot-signed.zip (47.6 MB)
Re-uploaded the ZIP as the previous zip had an error in the downanimation file name and caused the standard downanimation to run instead of custom one. Please download the updated zip file above and flash in recovery as normal
Files...
HTC-One-Beats boot animation.zip (39.5 MB)
HTC-Boot-Music.mp3 (365 KB)
downanimation.zip (7.5 MB)
now i'm not sure about other roms but for people using ARHD the zip needs go here /system/customize/resource/bootanimation.zip
and the audio file needs to be here /system/customize/resource/HTC_Sense5_Boot.mp3 or htc_boot.mp3
shutdown animation goes here /system/customize/resource/downanimation.zip

First of all thanks. Second , can you make it a flashable zip ? I have the Maximus HD rom (4.3 wth Sense 5) and after i copy them to the system i try to reboot. The downanimation works but the boot up animation is still stock. After the boot if i restart again everything goes back to original(boot up and downanimation). What i've tried so far are the After Effects and the Adroid Hammer animations. These are flashable zips dough.
I'll see what I can do

I know its a bit of a long boot animation but I thought it would be a pretty cool idea. Plus I actually think its almost the right length for how long the phone actually takes to boot =D

Hi sorry for the late reply. If you go to /system/customize/CID and open the default.xml file, scroll to the end about 95% and what you're looking for is this bit:
<BootConfiguration>
<BootAnimation animation="/system/customize/resource/bootanimation.zip" audio="/system/customize/resource/HTC_Sense5_Boot.mp3" />
</BootConfiguration>
The last part of the boot script that says audio, whatever that says you need to make sure the name and location of your boot audio is the same. For instance mine is /system/customize/resource/HTC_Sense5_Boot.mp3
I hope this helps

The flashable is only for Sense 5 based ROMs. You'll have to manually put the files where they need to go. However since I've never used paranoid android, I'm not sure of the exact locations or what the file names need to be.
I'll see if I can find out and upload a flashable.

I just try to flash the zip on my TrickDroid 10.0.0 with 4.3, and get the same issue. But after rebooting the Animation works complete with audio and full length. I don´t know why but it feel´s good.
