This may be a question already covered but I can't seem to find it. Is there any way to press the decline buttonb gettings call and have it still ring on their end (as if I just didn't pick up). Setting on youmail or application for this?
Thanks

Press the volume down button and it will silence the ringer. Hope this helps.

Has anybody here come across any voicemail issues while using their Incfredible? Whenever I use the stock sense 2.0 ROM and I have a new voicemail, I call my voicemail, try to type in my password, however it doesn't seem to acknowledge that I am even doing anything. I'll type in my password, press pound, and it'll ask me to enter my password. I tried resetting the password, still no issues. I can't clear the notification so its there forever pretty much. I have like 8 new voicemails right now. I know these ROMs are popular, I am curious as to how nobody else has come across this problem, as I couldn't find a thread anywhere.
Thank you for your time.
Set audible tones to short or long in call settings menu (I think, I don't use sense roms..)

I have always wondered one thing about the in call screen that always pissed me off, the proximity sensor doesn't always work. My question is that why is it that when you receive a phone call you have to swipe to answer or ignore but all it takes to hang up during a call is one simple end call button? Shouldn't it be the other way around? I have accidentally hung up on sooo many people because of this.

Is there a way to get the phone to vibrate when dialed number connects.
Right now it plays a tune, so it knows its connected, however can that be tied to vibrate as well?
My old phone did this, and its great to not have to hold the phone to your ear if the connection takes a long time to get through.
if you flash the cm7 Rom it has that option. i dont think any of the others do though.
I use Go Contacts, which comes with Go Dialer , and it has that option ...
Stock dialer does this, settings, call, call alert, answer vibration

If you have root then search "vibralert" in the market.
Top app with lots of options.

So is there any way to press one button to make the phone completely silent? I was in class today and I used to notification menu to go in what I thought was silent mode. A few minutes later I accidently went into the galaxy s voice thing and that robotic ***** started shouting during a quiet class.... I tried using the volume rocker and no dice as well.
Edit:solved with simple sound widget. Thanks for the help.

***Your post made me laugh***
You could try that motion thing where the phone mutes when turned face-down. It's under Settings>Motion>9th option down
Not sure if it will work in every situation, particularly your robotic *****, but you can try....
I downloaded Simple Sound Profile Widget. Seems to work pretty well.
Sadly when this happened my phone was faced up so the motion thong won't work. I'll try the wigit though and see how that works out

Are there any apps/mods that allow you to silence/mute an incoming notification tone like on the iphone?
For example you are in a meeting and get a text which sets off your text tone instead of reaching into your pocket, removing phone, unlocking it, and stopping tone you just reach in and hit the power button or volume rocker and stop the tone.
Didn't realize how much I did this on my old phone until I couldn't do it on my N2!

If you turn your volume all the way down it goes into vibrate

An instant mute....like on the iphone...that doesnt affect volume settings

Why not just put on vibrate when in meeting?
It is in the toggles very easy to access
Sent from my SGH-I317 using xda premium
Because I don't want to have to keep toggling my phone settings on and off all day long when all I have to do is just reach in my pocket for brief second and shut it off at that particular moment.

It takes more than a "brief second" to reach in your pocket, look for the toggle switch on the iPhone and move it... And even then, you may have not toggled the switch in the right direction, thus leaving the ringer on by accident. Trust me, I've done this with all the iPhones I've had. It doesn't matter if the back side has a bulge or is aluminum to help you orient your hand coordination. Your mind would be too focused on not getting unwanted attention while you silence your phone.
The trick for the Note II (at least for stock rom) is hold the power button two seconds, then hold the down volume rocker down until it vibrates, which only takes another second. And viola, it's on vibrate mode.
Im pretty sure if you hit the volume rocker while a call is incoming it will silence.
Correct me if im wrong

You're correct, but I think he wants to toggle it to go on vibrate so if the person happens to try calling a second time, it doesn't ring again.
