Why is there no mobile theme available for this board?
No.. I dont want to use http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php or similar.
There are many vB boards that have a nice iphone-ish look that can be also used very well on WM touch phones too (I'm using Blackstone myself). And not everyone wants an app (like Android), because one is being stuck with WM or a simple theme change can do the job as well.
I have searched and found the theme. It is available here: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=171947
so, my appeal to you admins: this is a mobile board and it needs a mobile skin. thank you!

We may do a mobile theme for the forum. We have the Android XDA app if you want a more mobile-friendly view. If you're on iPhone, you can download Tapatalk and access XDA that way.
Will the XDA App, be coming to WM any times soon ?
or somthing like it

It's a limitation of Tapa Talk - the 3rd party who make the app.

yes!! i love the silver one
there will not be possibly to have WM7 on our X1/2 but you can have SPB shell 3.5.3 and a WM7 theme for 3.5.3 witch is still alot better now then WM7 next year plus it runs fluidly on X2. this theme is here on xda and it supports WVGA so have a try. i like it.
check this out: WP7 theme
just a theme using throttle launcher but looks great.
tried it on my X1 and it's working. not just as smooth yet.
still on beta though

To be honest, it's kind of ugly.
I like the old one...
It's new, I think they did that yesterday. I personally like this one more, since the old favicon was just the V-Bulletin default, and wasn't distinguishing at all or specific to XDA.
Check the xda portal for the color reference,

What is a color reference?
And what is the xda portal?
Xda portal = http://www.xda-developers.com ?
I did a Ctrl + F for 'color' and no results.
Cryptic message is cryptic.
I meant that the colors of the favicon reference to the colors of the portal.
It is moldy looking...

Yeah.
Looks too black. And the 'xda' is barely legible.

we need to get a new forum theme that goes well with the xda portal page
that will be a big change

Be careful what you wish for...
Making a good fav icon is very very difficult because it's so small. What we have now is the most legible of many versions that were presented to is. It was made by XDA user 12aon.
If anyone wants to propose an alternative, I'd be happy to take a look.
How do you do this, do u need a specific rom or just launcher pro? Cheers!

Where'd you get that picture?
Not sure about that particular launcher but there is something similar here

That is amazing.

I'll have one please
IIRC its a theme on launcherpro from a member on here. I *think* its either ultralinx or, more possibly, classicalgas.
Be buggered if I can remember, But im sure its one of those two

Thanks guys! Something to play around with when I get home tonight.
Was just having a look on the Official Android Develops site (http://developer.android.com) and noticed google had added a tool which allows you to upload your screenshots, and the tool automatically overlays them onto the screen of your device.
They only list the Pure Google devices, Nexus 4,7,10 and the older models etc, but it is still really handy. Even has options for shadow and glare.
Maybe I'm just late to the game, but I had never seen this before? Will certainly make posting in homescreen threads a lot easier.
Link is http://developer.android.com/distribute/promote/device-art.html
It's certainly a tool I will be using a lot, so I hope this is of some assistance to others too :good:

A much more simple way for doing this is the app called "Device Frame Generator"
+ it does contain more devices.
via my ∞ awesome Nexus 4
New to me as well. Thanks for sharing.

Download 2
Download 3

Cheers for that
While I like the update, the letters used, if the contact doesn't have a picture, are just ugly. Surely something better could've been designed instead of that
