Hello!
I wanna write a simple app that sends SMS via Internet and also saves them to the "sent sms"-folder.
So where and how does windows mobile 6 saves those SMS?
Please excuse my bad english ;-)
Thanks!
Yoshy
I think it's in "cemail.vol".
You need to use CE MAPI libraries (C++)

Ok I want to know if I can create or modify a word or Excel document in my excalibur?
uhm no you can't. its only for editing.
why are you confused?
yes you can someone on modaco forum post a plugin to do that...
yes u can (as long as you wm6).. here is the link to download the program that allows you to do so:
http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=252990
you have to register on that website before you can download (its free)
omar
of course you can use blank docs from your pc or use the modaco app.
the op was asking if mobile office allowed you to create docs though when obviously it does not.
we don't even know if he has mobile office or wm6 so this could all be moot.

So, the more complete answer is:
1) If you are still running WM5, then:
a) You can buy Docs2Go, which will allow you to create and edit Word/Excel docs, or...
b) You can "port" the WM6 Office Mobile apps (Word, Excel) to WM5, then...
2) If you have the WM6 Office Mobile apps running (either on WM6 or WM5), then:
a) You can use the MoDaCo app DoNew which creates new Word/Excel docs, which you can then edit with the WM6 Office apps, or...
b) You can simply create a blank Word and Excel doc on your PC and then keep them around on your Dash, and copy each time you want a new doc, or edit and use SaveAs.
well thanks for all the repost.
I'm running Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone GSM w/Outlook 2002

When you click on the new doc, it will ask you where to save your new doc. and Word Mobile will start. In Word Mobile, you need to click on menu and choose edit, which will allows you to type in your next text.
Gah! so many steps!!! lol
thanks! i thought edit would be the copy paste settings.
when i hold the end button, some icons show up.
what are they?
thanks
I did a quick search beforehand but didn't really find any results. Is there any way of backing up text messages before I upgrade to WM6? I've got around 3k on my Orbit at the moment and my girlfriend doesn't want me to lose them all. I'll looked everywhere on the filesystem but couldn't find them for love nor money! Any help is appreciated.

Your search wasn't good enough....
PPCPimBackup (DL linked to this thread) or SMSBackup does the job.
IMO PPCPIMBackup is the best, you can backup everything (Contacts, Mail, SMS, MMS, Call-logs....), works great. I use it often...
Thanks a bunch, will try it out!

works perfect

Hello.
Sorry for this dumb question, but this windows mobile is getting a real pain in the a**. Is it possible that in 2008 there are no filters for Mail ?!?
Do you know of a replacement for the messaging program (or at least Mail) ?!?
Do you know of a way of having mail automatically sorted based on some (even simple) filters/rules ?
Thanks.
Goooooooooooooooogle

Hi there, how can i develop an application that can read out sms messages from my touch hd (WM 6.5) ?
i want develop on my desktop pc an application that can read out all sms messages from my phone (tools are vista, visual studio 2008)
greetings
SMS
Should be able to using the Microsoft SAPI (speech) library. Would need to add a reference to it first in your desktop app. Look under the COM tab when adding a reference.
I've done it on Delphi / C++ but I believe it should be the same on C#.

I forget who's Rom I was using. Probably juicy for touch pro1. there was one person that every time she sent a text to me it was marked urgent and my phone would read it out loud to me as it came in. and I mean every time.
What setting in the phone did that?
