Weather Animations when Unlocking RESOLVED - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all. I just got an Evo (upgraded from Hero) and can't figure out how to totally disable the weather animations. I've turned checked the "disable all window animations" under settings but when I unlock phone and the screen comes on I still get a brief weather animation. I've also tried removing the weather widget from my screen and re-adding it and unchecking the option that says "enable full screen animation."
SORRY FOUND ANSWER TO MY QUESTION ON MY OWN LOL. I had to disable weather animations in widget locker app.

Question: Can you disable weather animation

Hi,
I've got the ubiquitous HTC flip-clock-with-weather on my main home screen; whenever I unlock the device, I get the weather animation across the full screen. It seems to me that when I have notifications, I cannot pull down the notification bar until the weather animation completes, which is quite annoying. Is there any way to disable that animation (apart from the obvious one of removing the widget)? It's one of those things that was cool when I first got the phone, but grates on the nerves after a while.
Thanks,
John
Yes, but you still have to remove the widget first.
Add the widget again. You will be given the option to disable "Full screen animation".
(The weather animation never seemed to get in the way of the notification bar for me though...)
Cheers, that worked a charm!
When you re-add it you can also set the update frequency which might help some with battery issues. IMO there's no point updating the weather forecast more than twice a day.

[Q] Help me turn off weather animations

Dunno know what I did, but all of a sudden, when I go to my home page, I get clouds floating across my screen. It's partly cloudy here, so I know the animation is related to the weather function on my phone. My settings show that all animations are off. I know at one time I turned this animation off, but I'm damned if I can remember how.
I use beautiful widgets and LaunchPro, if that helps. All settings for animations are off, but if I enable them in beautiful widgets, it makes the animation faster.
Please help me turn the damned animation off.
I SOLVED IT! I'm getting better at this troubleshooting thing!
See I forgot to mention that I used WidgetLocker, and therein lay the problem. Don't think I would have ever noticed it unless I had another problem that forced me to reinstall that app.
In Widget locker, there is a setting under Settings => Look&Feel. All the way at the bottom is a drop list for (get this)HTC weather animations. I clicked on disabled, and my problem went away.
Gaah! It's always the simple solutions that are sooooooo hard to find.
Turning off Weather Animations
The other method is to hold and drag your home screen Weather Widget to delete it, then add it back in and uncheck the weather animations box.
This might not be the best method for people that have a lot of weather cities saved.

frozen accuweather still shows up in lock screen

I've frozen all the weather related apps and widgets using Titanium Backup. But I still can go to lockscreen option in settings and toggle on the weather iniformation on lockscreen. Tried to reboot but it seems some hidden app is running to support the lockscreen weather information. I tried to reboot but it's still running. (I don't want to cancel the feather otherwise I can just toggle off the option. I want to change the display to celcius in the display) Can anyone tell me where I can go to that app? Thank you!

Lockscreen Weather Animation

need help guys.
Lockscreen Weather Animation is not working.
accuweather update interval set to lowest at every hour.
settings > display > lock screen > Weather animation - checked.
general > location - turned on.
searched xda forum, a post says it needs sync to be on. so turned it on.
still no lockscreen weather animation.

So far I have only seen the weather animation on the lock screen when it rains. I don't know if there is any other animations, maybe when it snows:cyclops:
yup it showed on rainy.
on cloudy, it didn't.

so, the 'smart' phone will only tell us if it rains and not otherwise... hmmm.. not so smart afterall... lol...
but i swear i saw in utube that the guys phone is showing sunny weather on the lock screen... is it sunny and rainy only? or we did something wrong?
the ones i saw with sun on youtube vids are mostly g2 and htc phones.
Just turn on the sync on your notìication panel and enjoy great ânimtion.
In mine i see it aslo raining, but today i saw the sun on my screen
I wish it would work with xposed framework Miss that cool aspect of the lock screen.
We're you guys able to fix this animation not showing? Got V50. No response from V50 users yet.

I enabled all weather animations on the lock screen but my lock screen says its raining and its not raining. Is there a way to check and see if maybe the geolocation is correct

Mine has been doing the same thing for about a week. Have just now started searching for a solution.....
Found this over at Android Central: From TurkXtreme:
Go to settings then lockscreen and then check widgets box. (show widgets on lockscreen)
then go to lockscreen and pull down the screen.and then push the screen right and add widget and choose weather. after do all you will see its working. thats all.
Worked for me!
