When I used to set the wallpaper the green box thing that you stretch over the picture stretched all the way over the picture. But now it will only do a colum (covering about a third of the image) hoe do I make it set the whole picture again?

What's the resolution of the picture you are trying to apply as a wallpaper.
Desire uses 960x800. The crop tool should take the entire picture this way.
I don't know but it used to cover the entire picture. I'm using the same wallpaper I've always used. Now its as if I'm setting up a panoramic wallpaper

I like to select a picture as my wallpaper, but setting it as a wallpaper it zooms in unnecessarily. Has anyone seen this? it is happening on my wife's phone as well.
I am wondering if this is an issue with Touch Wiz, the Gallery, or something else. I have tried it on ALL the launchers and that hasn't helped. I have also tried to lock the wallpaper scrolling, and setting it as vertical and horizontal.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You may need to resize the picture to use it properly as a wallpaper

Look for wallpaper wizardrii in the market. Its free. Use it to set your wallpaper. Select stretch to portrait.
Hey guys, anyway to bypass the cropping square limit when setting a custom wallpaper? This reduces the area of the wallpaper and degrades the quality...
Tried to search the forum but couldn't find any useful guides.. thanks in advance!

You can resize that square in order to use the whole 1440x1280 resolution. Just pull it at the corners...

I use a lot of custom HD wallpapers I make from scratch using pretty much any photo editing program. If you make a wallpaper that's exactly the dimensions of your phones native resolution, there is no zooming-in or distortions. However, I don't always do this, and I'm usually generally okay with the results.
What is the resolutions for the note 2 lock screen? And for the home screen??? I'm running jelly thunder so I have a scrolling wallpaper on home screen... I guess I can use Photoshop and make wallpapers if I known the exact resolutions...

Dimensions for a wallpaper image should be 720x1280 (width, height) to avoid any cropping.
For some reason the only wallpapers that don't look terrible are the stockers.
I have a folder full of wallpapers from my HTC One (also 1080p screen) that work perfectly but when I try to use any of them on the Nexus it only lets me use about 1/3 or less of the image so it ends up totally stretched out and grainy.
I use quickpic to set my wallpapers. Go to your wallpaper via the app, and choose set as quickpic wallpaper. I usually get my pictures from zedge

Hey!
I'm using ra3al xperia z launcher and
ticked the "Static wallpaper" option. And now is my question: is it possible to put a picture as my wallpaper without cropping it? Since my wallpaper is static, I want to be able to see my entire wallpaper (picture took with phone's camera) on one home page so cropping it to fit all my pages would be useless. I'm not sure if I'm clear :/
Thanks for your time!
