My old Droid1 had a window closing animation of the window fading away when you pressed the home button (I'm pretty sure source ROMs have this too), but it doesn't seem to show for me on Sense ROMs (I've even tried changing the animation speed in Spare Parts).
I'm not sure if this is just my phone, or if it is like this for everyone, because I remember way back when the first Sense 2.2 build was leaked, this animation was present, but then it magically disappeared when I updated to the official 2.2. So my question is, is everyone missing this animation? And if so, is it possible to add it back in?

I saw this boot animation on a ROM. I think maybe the deoxed version of Froyo. The androids pop on the screen and wave hi. The middle says EVO 4G. The only part I didn't like was the "DROID" startup sound at the end.
Anyone know where I can find that bootup?
I searched the whole forum and have not found a similar thread, so I start to doubt if just I have this question...
My question is:
Android has built-in windows opening and closing zoom animation. When I got my Desire I found it doesn't have the zoom animation. OK, let's say the HTC Sense UI does not go this way. Today I wiped all the data and flashed an OpenDesire ROM. This time the zoom animation is there when I tap to launch an app, but the closing zoom animation is still missing when I press HOME or BACK to go back to home screen... There should be a zoom out animation, am I correct? What I see is that it just flash back to home screen directly, no animation...
Anyone has some idea on this issue? Thx.
Use Spare Parts to set the Window animations, transition animations and even the speed of those animations.
I installed Spare Parts from the market. It seems that I can only set the animation speed, but no switch to turn on/off the zooming animation...
As you know i have the same query ... the reason that opendesire has the zoom effect is because it uses LauncherPro - you can also download it for the other roms... that makes the apps zoom when open / closed... but unfortunatly it doesn't support the htc widgets which is y i do not use it

I don't think OpenDesire uses LauncherPro, Adam says OpenDesire is compiled purely from Android source code, and all 3rd party apps used in the ROM are exciplitly listed. The effect is built-in with Android, you can confirm it by trying the emulator in SDK.
havent actually looked @ open desire ... but the screenshot looked like it was using it... guess the user could have installed it after tho

Ok perhaps you are correct, I think opebdesire just used a subset of LauncherPro to build the stock launcher. Anyway I installed LauncherPro and found it even faster than the stock one, of course the animations are there as I expected...

Anyone found a way to get these animations on sense?
Why in the world would HTC disable these animations, and not even give us the option to enable it? It's really annoying!
I remember (but not clearly) HTC Hero has this animation built in with Sense, any idea?
Full screen called Id was a welcome update to JellyBean, I used it with some of the original JellyBean roms for HTC One X. For those of you who have been able to update to the latest sense JellyBean roms, you will already know that Full Screen Caler Id is missing. This is a huge dissapointment, along with the notification panel and expanded notifications. Often it makes me think, what have HTC actually done to improve the latest Sense+. It is much smoother and faster I must admit and the maximus roms have been fantastic. The question is, will HTC ever be including these additions to sense?
I know this is not a problem with the roms and it lays with HTC itself, its just a huge dissapointment. When Android first introduced JellyBean, these were some of the feature that made the upgrade worthwhile. Does anyone know if Full Screen Caller Id or Expanded Notifications will ever be released?
I was under the impression expanded notifications worked.
The trick is to expand them by placing two fingers in the middle and drag apart horizontally, like a "zoom in" motion.

hello there,
i've got HTC one x about 2 days ago, i think it's a v. good phone but now i have a problem
the phone had a very cool cube animation when you move between tabs as fingers are moved across the tabs ... for example in apps like "phone" you have (phone - people - favorite .. etc)... i used to have a cube animation while moving between those tabs ...
once i updated the software (which i didnt know it would change the phone like that), this animation is completely gone and it just shows a black box with the name of the tab on it ... how can i bring this animation back ?
one other thing, scrolling the home screen now goes forever, i mean when you scroll to the very last screen on the right, it jumps after that to the screen on the far left and goes looping like that .... how can i disable that feature and make it as it was
hope my questions are quite clear ...
Thanks
For cube animation: with the latest relase of android and htc sense, cube animation was off, but if you want, you can flash ViperX because the dev have added this option
For second question: Do you talk about infinite scrolling?
If yes, you can disable it, always, with ViperX rom.
With stock rom you can't disable infinite scrolling and activate cube animation
Flash a custom Rom matey

Hey guys, Im currently running Trickdroid on my HTC and im really enjoying the HTC Sense feel. However, there are a few very minor things i thought that might make the experience that much better.
For one, i really like the HTC Sense stock camera; Easy options, Zoe, the seamless switching etc, but i would really like to be able to manually adjust the focus. I found you can change the exposure but i cant find any focus options.
Another thing (very minor) being the Sense "Recent Apps" ( double tap home) , for some reason it doesn't seem to support "multi-touch" and i can only swipe away one app at a time, even if i start from top to bottom. It would be awesome if i could just quickly swipe apps away before waiting for the fading animation to finish.
And lastly, the lockscreen. I do like the simplicity of the stock lockscreen but there's one thing that annoys me occasionally, if i miss tap or don't swipe properly it pops up with a short animation and says "Pull up to unlock" and the screen is unresponsive for the second the animation is happening.
Like i said, these are VERY minor things but having a solution would just complete it.
If you have any suggestions or fixes, they would be greatly appreciated
Possibly through XPOSED Modules?
Bump.......Ideas anyone?
I've never seen anything about anybody else asking about these issues so I would think the chance of a Mod existing or being made is very slim indeed ... You could ask in the Xposed thread ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335241&highlight=xposed ... Maybe the Dev could help you out.
