So I ran unrevoked3, and the hboot drivers are installed. HTC Sync is not installed. The phone has debugging on, and is in "charge only" mode. When I run unrevoked, it does its thing, and then it boots to the attached picture instead of clockworkrecovery.
Help!
Is there any text?

Too much information. Can you restate your problem with less detail?
What is your HBOOT version? Check the version by powering off the phone, then holding the volume down + power button when powering it on. The version will be at the top. If it is 2.02.00 then Unrevoked 3 will not work on it.
htc hot sync installed
had to uninstall HTC hot sync now cant connect with my tablet using wireless tether and it shows it but doesnt obtain an ip address any suggestions.
Wonderment
Did you install the right drivers? I know I have seen this during my own attempts when I didnt install the driver they list in there steps of running unrevoked.
did you use the new unrevoked 3.22 or the old one 3.21?
did you use 3.22 unrevoked or 3.21?
I rebooted my computer so i had to redownload unrevoked. When i downloaded the hboot drivers i unzipped those fine. When i connect my phone to laptop in the hboot menu and hit hboot usb its sayin driver unsuccessfully installed. Before my phone was rooted thus process was simple. I would follow the instructions on unrevoked website and when i looked under device manager it would say android device. Is the fact my phone is rooted causing the issue?

Hi all,
After flashing Android Revolution HD 5.1.3, whenever I connect my device to the computer via USB, the debugging mode will not disable. And yes I have disabled the option from inside the apps menu. Any thoughts please?

I don't have that issue, but if I am allowed to ask, whats the problem with debugging mode "On"?
I use it a time on, and there are no problems with anything.
Sry read i like you could'n get it away
But i havent heard about ryst i should do anything
Its only to make your phone accept file changes in Android like when you flash flash new radio
But i hadent seen any problems will it one either

I have a different problem.
My USB Debugging mode is always on but my PC does not detect it as such
Also my phone does not say that it is connected in Debugging mode!
Any suggestions?
Tired of scouring through help videos and google searches... I hope someone on here can help me.
Rooted my HTC Desire via the unrevoked 3.2 method and used for a few days before deciding to S-OFF. Well i made a mistake and got stuck in a boot loop. Reflashed the RUU and i am back in business.
The issue is that i had to reinstall HTC Sync to reflash the RUU and then uninstall again so i could re-root, leaving the drivers in of course. I noticed that when i connect phone to PC via the same method as before, it should have had 'ANDROID 1.0' in device manager but this time it says MY HTC.
Can anyone explain what to do?
1) I can go ahead and root as before, this is just the new version of HTC Sync drivers.
2) Stay clear, the new drivers mean the bootloader is locked.
Which is it?????
I am a noob and although some members on here instructed me to use adb, i am out of my depth with that, even the guides available aren't simple enough for me.
Surely there must be an easy way out of this?
Any help would be much appreciated!
u can try uninstall the drivers and reinstall them back to be safe. also install the modified hboot drivers from unrevoked.
Thanks for your reply. Already tried to uninstall then reinstall the drivers. The issue is happening when I try to install the modified hboot driver, it says the driver is up to date but doesn't show as 'Android Bootloader Interface'.

When your Mobile is fully booted it will show My HTC.. and when you will boot into fastboot.. by volume down and power.. you will see 'Android Bootloader Interface'.
So that mean, YES you can root with unrevoked while you have 'MY HTC' in device manager with USB Debugging On.

install the driver
Little bit of common sense and google search will get u a long way
thanks for the reply. i thought i had the drivers with the android sdk package. after a bit of googling i have downloaded an android usb package, which i had to install with the phone in hboot usb mode and it was successful. however my laptop no longer recognizes the phone when plugged in as charge only. so i am now looking for the relevant driver for this. p.s, i am a total noob at this custom /android/sdk thingymajig! once again thanks for any help
hi.after installing the driver my laptop recognises the phone in hboot mode but will not recognise it in the normal mode which it needs to be in, in order to start unrevoked. when I install the htc driver it no longer recognises hboot ! any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?

And have u installed htc sync then uninstalled sync only, leaving the drivers installed?
yes I have! I have even un installed the corresponding driver's and installed the ones required as the phone goes through reboots, and I have got to the end (surprisingly! ) whereupon it says It cannot do it, maybe because I have a newer firmware. I would gladly deal with the last hurdle (firmware) if I can get there without the malarkey of installing/reinstalling drivers. I downloaded android usb driver's from another website before seeing your reply with the link. I will try the drivers in your link and if I have no joy I would be grateful of any help in the future. thanks for your help.
