Universal Dead flashing

Hi, a friend have 2 pda universal from vodafone that he has flashed and killed. I don´t know what happend. pda always shows USB and v1.00. After a lots o rom updates still dead, i have JAFWM, but with or without this machine is dead.
any rom especial version?
any soft?

1. Try to restart the device in bootloader mode(Light key, power and reset pressed together)
2. Look at the display (should say Serial and version at the bottom)
3. Disable the USB connection in Active Sync otherwise the update will crash.
4. Plug in USB Cable (Screen Should now show USB at the top)
5. Start original Upgrade from your provider or take the upgrade you want to use with the MA_UpGrade_noid.exe.
6. After Flashing restart device with both soft keys at the bottom of the screen ( Buttons with - on it) pressed.
7. When asked type 0 to erase all data.
9. Device should start normally, if it doesn't do not hesitate to ask.

device always start in bootloader mode, i flash all times without problems, but when i restart device, automatically puts on bootloader mode.
after flash, make factory settings but,after this, restart in same mode.
always, when i run update program soft MaUpgradeUt_noID, detects no rom in pocket loaded.
strange problem on 2 pda´s ?

That shouldn't be a problem. Just continue to flash the rom. There could be a problem with your bootloader and the upgrade version (AKU2) you want to use.

Maybe it's a problem with bootloader.

i think same as you, only problem with ROM image, but i have flashed many roms but I can´t revive device. So i ask name of Rom tht can revive pda.

PD. how i can flash the archive attached?

The rar file mentioned above is only the bootloader you already got on your device.
In your case i would use an old AKU1 rom and to see if it works.

i have same problem. show only boot loader mode. how to use this boot loader file. wich AKU1 file is working. my phone is MDA PRO from germany T-mobile, i wan't to update ro to English. after flashing many times, many rom no result. help me

Which Bootloader do you have ?
It would be great if you could make an backup of your bootloader then, that i could downgrade my phone and try to unlock it.(If do not know how to make an backup, thats no problem, because i can show you how to do it)

Did you try to update your phone to the latest orange rom for testing yet ?
If not try it out (I know it is said to be slow, but only if all orange customizations are installed) If it runs then its ok.
Otherwise try to use the exitbl.exe mentioned somewhere in this forum, hopefully it works.

connect to mtty and issue set 14 0 and then restart the device or use exitbl utility by buzz

I had same problem like you, can you tell me what exactly did you do so you can repaire your phone.
I used T-mobie and didn't work after upgrade rom too, it's alway stop in boot loader screen. I tried up rom of T-mobile, Imate, Dopod but nothing to work, I don't know how to repair it, it's still can up rom normaly, nothing wrong while upgrade, it's only don't work after finish.

HI to all! I have lost bootloader upgrading my qtek 9000 vodafone.
can i to solve problem? No bootloader menu, i have tried power+reset+lamp, power+reset+camera - herd reset with - + - reset without effect. Pse help me!!! Thanks.

big issue can it be solved

ok here is the problem, i downloaded batterystatus and loaded a few option it asked for a soft restart so i let it be, soon as it get to the today screen it freezes, my activesyne wont connect to my phone it just stays frozen, is there another way to do a hard reset? or clear this issue please i really need help.

If it is freezing upon startup or when it reaches the Today Screen then frezes, you need o be able to boot the phone in safe mode (available in a few apps like SKTools, etc) which can bypass any startup applications that may cause interefence so that you an troubleshoot the problem. If you do not have one installed, find one. It will haelp out tremendously for events like this.
Does your phone freeze every time you soft reset? At the exact same place?

if the pda will not start up i dont think he can install the safe mode program
how hardreset is dont varies from device to device my advise if to look in the manual or look at XDA-WIki for info about how to do it on your device

Fix a bricked phone

Hey guys,
I have the Bootloader all happy and running but after flashing the Radio (I did this because I thought it would fix random crashes and GPRS crashing) the OS just hangs in boot even after hard resetting.
How do I go about flashing when in Bootloader mode?

EDIT: I tried with the TTY app (mtty) but it fails to show a USB port. I noticed that Windows XP just sits on acquiring network address.

You must deactivate AcitveSync --> "Allow USB Connections" and kill all ActiveSync Processes.
If you have Vista you need other Drivers. Search in google 'VistaRUU'.
You could Flash VIA SD Card from Bootloader, just try to search a little bit in google.

If you have installed in the past Hard SPL, you should be able to flash a new ROM from the bootloader screen. Simply choose Hard SPL on the installer.

I have a SIMILAR ISSUE I I have issues with an old Hermes not gonna get into it, but I gotta outta what I thought was my WORST mess ever. Now my 8525 boots (I have the Official AT&T WM6 ROM) see all the opening screens and BOOM it JUST HANGS on the TOUCHSCREEN CALIBRATION screen!!! Touchscreen is completely UNRESPONSIVE so are 90% of the rest of the buttons I can power off and use the side scroll Blackberry dial, and I think the Right SOFT KEY brings UP a USELESS menu, BUT I AM STUCK AT THE CALIBRATION screen no touchscreen I have done A Hard Reset 1000 times, I can connect via ActiveSync with my PC, cant Flash Anything though I get ERROR 260 So I just have a booting 8525 stuck on th4e calibration screen
ANY IDEAS??????????/

If you've Hard SPLed your hermes, try the sd card method. 1st, you need to back up your card, format it fat 32 then copy the .nbh file onto from the rom of your choice. rename the nbh file to "Hermimg.nbh" then insert into phone. put hermes into bootloader and follow the prompts. this will reflash another os. Hope this gets you out of your pickle... cheers

no WAV1 at startup, keywheel disabled, gps too... wanna write a script to fix it

Hi all,
I'm facing a strange problem from my WM6.1 phone (HP614c), the WAV1 doesn't start automatically at startup (therefore the speaker is not enabled), also the keypad-wheel is disabled.
At first I believed that its a hardware problem but I can have it fixed after a factory reset. The problem is that after installing one or two programes (I'm pretty sure that its not related to the prog that I want to install), it always ends up with the same result. The WAV1 doesn't start at boot.
I will appreciate any help in tackling this problem, or in writing a boot script to start WAV1.

[Q] AT&T tilt problem - gets stuck 2 to 3 times a day

Hi all,
My phone is AT&T tilt.
Kernel : 2.6.25-dirty modified using Atools - Panel 2 type
Android 2.2.1 - Not So Super Froyo RLS 18 updated with latest androidupdate using the kernel menu to update.
all installed on NAND , using p2 for system and p3 for data and auto for swap
My problem and it seems that i am the only one or at least no one has reported it, is that the phone gets stuck 2 or 3 times a day with the backlight dimmed and the screen pixeled with grey and black random pixels.
If anyone tries to call me when this happened, my phone doesn't do anything and they have a normal ringing as if i am not answering. when i restart the phone there would be no log of what happens during the stuck phase. Sometimes it also gets stuck during the restart and i have to clear the Dalvik Cache, and all info , contacts gmail account . everything is gone and i have to resync.
Any help or pointing me to what i am doing wrong is highly appreciated.

Are you familiar with the Fn + Left Soft Key, wait 5 seconds, then Fn + Rt Soft Key?
Sounds like it's just stuck in VSync, which because the phone is not top of line, Android refreshes the screen faster than the phone can react, so there's a delay script in place that helps fix this, but this stuff still happens due to limited hardware.
Whenever you get the pixel snow, try that combination above too see if that helps. If not the only other thing that can be happening is data corruption, which has been around since Day 1. Try installing system on NAND and data on your SD Card and that should help with your data corruption issues as well.

Also, if you are installed completely on NAND, you could do backups of your /data partition on a daily basis (takes about 1 minute on replimenu). I do mine daily even though I have a fairly stable install. I have been having issues with the ribbon cable lately and the phone will lock in sleep mode and run the battery down a bit. Not sure if this is software or hardware related.
IMHO, if you download anything from the market, back up your /data partition as soon as you can to save all your info and newley downloaded apps or games.

thanks a lot , no i am not familiar with this option and i will give it a try as soon as it happens , i also should try the data on SD .

i tried the backup using the replimenu , but it is not working properly . it a long time , after that i restart the phone and the backup file size would be 0 KB.
that was on the old build that i used , i will try it with this build , thanks a lot
