I have been trying to find the cheapest hdmi cable for the droid x right now. The lowest I can go is $14.29. Also if an admin could allow me post links I would add the link.

It is Micro HDMI to HDMI.
I found the cheapest to be a 1 footer for 11$ with free shipping from Brooklyn on ebay. Also, if you use Bing cash back, you can get 8% off (88 cents ). I would post links, but i cant.
I just searched for Micro HDMI on ebay and came up with plenty of options for $10 or less.
monoprice.com - they have high quality cables for the cheapest prices
just bought one off ebay
6.90 along with free shipping here to hawaii.. why can china ship here for free, but u.s. charges 12 bucks?

Rule # 1 - Monoprice should always be the first place you look
Rule # 2 - Refer to rule #1
Rule # 3 - Next try BlueJeansCable
I couldn't believe this but, I was at a verizon store yesterday asking about the hdmi cables and another customer overheard me. He pulled me aside and told me that you can get at lowes in the satellite dish dept. He said you could get a 12 foot cord for half of what verizon charges. I'm going to head over there shortly to find out if it's true.
Update... If lowes has them I didnt see them. they had regular hdmi cables but nothing for micro usb. I think the guy misunderstood what I was looking for.

Buying non-oem from china means it'll work for a month then it breaks. Long run you're gonna spend a lot more. Avoid eBay spend a few bucks more and get something reliable.
I got my hdmi cable (15 ft) and a new usb cause the box one is too short (6 ft) for only 15 bucks from monoprice.com with next day shipping.

The seller "Eforcity" on eBay has a LOAD of cheap HDMI cables, I saw one for $5.50 shipped earlier.
I'd post a link, except this is my first post.
...and then i realized that it was an hdmi cable to mini hdmi FML. does anyone know of a LINK to buy a mini hdmi to micro hdmi adapter thats reasonably priced?
It's actually micro HDMI to HDMI
Check this site http://www.cablewholesale.com/specs/hdmi-cable/10v3-44106.htm
couldnt find adapter but here is a cable 1.55 + 2.98 shipping... 5 feet

I honestly can't say I've seen those kinds of adapters out in the wild. My friend also made the same mistake when trying to surprise me as a birthday gift, but the return was super simple through Amazon.
You can't return the cable? (Or, if you can, would return shipping dissuade you to do so...?)
I got mine off the old Ebay for 5 bucks shipped... nifty.

yeah the cable was like 2 bucks and shipping was 3.89... not looking forward to sending the cable back for less than half the money
probably not ideal to be using 2 adapters, just return the mini.

i and my friends have used monoprice for all our cables/cords for years, never a problem
I use them all the time.

For us lucky enough to be near California we get the best of both worlds. I get over nite express shipping for like $5 or so. This is probably faster then me getting around to going to a store.
I also use monoprice all the time. I love it. Cables and other stuff are so cheap and great customer service too.
I use them all the time too, no complaints at all here, only compliments! I buy ALL my cables (HDMI, audio, Cat6, power strips, etc) from them! Bought a 50' HDMI cable and it transfers full 1080p just as good as the others and it was only ~$20...
yes! monoprice is the best! i ordered a 10ft usb cable for my e4gt it was like $5 with shipping. great prices! i have ordered from them a few times without no problems
one thing I would recommend, don't just buy one or two cables at a time. Your shipping would cost more than the cables itself. The over night shipping (less than 10lbs) is only about $4 (to CA). Still not a bad deal considering the prices at brick and mortar places. When I want to order, I always call up some friends who need cables and we do a group buy. Or just, buy a bunch of extras for your travel luggage, laptop bag, cable in your car, ect. You can never have enough cables... lol.
Side note: I've been shopping at monoprice for years. I also have their graphic tablets and dual monitor arm clamps. For the price, I was surprised with the quality.
Monoprice is the way to go.. I recently took delivery of 11+ pounds of A/V, USB & MHL cabling and some crazy adapters for about 100 bucks. Some of the audio cables look like garden hoses :0. Same shipment would have been near a grand from Worst Buy.
Their stuff comes from China, but so does everything else.. No probs at all.

I can vouch for this place. I've been purchasing my HDMI cables, TV wall mounts and such from here for the last 2-3yrs. About 45min drive away from me, but overnight shipping is cheaper than gas, so I usually go with that.
I have also bought the MHL adapter from here, works great!

$29.99 is better than $39.99 I guess.
I personally wouldn't trust buying knockoffs that are less than $14.99 so I bit the bullet and just got the official.

Does this do exact mirroring? So if browse or play a game it will show up on the screen? B/c im waiting for the Wifi Display Hub to be released
At least it's not $40 now...I actually, since I have 3 'old' MHL adapters in the house, ordered a samsung adapter so the S3 will work on those adapters. It was only $15. I have not received it yet so can not confirm it will work, but it 'should' do the trick.
Thanks for the link. Just ordered one

Yeah it will, its an adapter so you can use HDMI cords.
Note: Some people have been saying the wireless dongle will prolly have some kind of latency, fine for movies but for games might be affected (Not proven yet though)

Yeah I saw it on amazon first too but the shipping looked to be too much so I just went to expansys-USA and saw it there.
I upgraded my shipping to 3-5days for $4.99 which is $2 cheaper than through Amazon only.
But nonetheless that's my impatience's fault that I paid $34.99 not the items since there is free shipping, I'm just not willing to wait the extra 4-5 days lol

I put this in general accessories, but I figured I would share this here too. Monoprice.com has a $10 off $30 coupon when you enter TAXACT217. I believe it's for new accounts only, but give it a shot anyway if you're a regular.

I've heard good things here at xda and elsewhere about the Premium cables as they allow your device to fully draw as much as it can with higher amp output chargers/adapters. I have a couple of good micro USB cables that work really well for both charge/data, and some crappy ones where despite having good 2A adapters, only pull 500mA on a good day, when the stars and moon align, and rainbows can be seen at night... This way I can make sure my Nexus 5 and my Qi chargers are utilizing the most they can.
10 Cables and the car charger came to $27.75 shipped to Polar Bear land with small package Canada post shipping.
*Edit: Updated with new discount code.
Do you know of any other long USB cables that are good? For me to get monoprice to ship one cable is $39 shipping
Thanks
Samsung ECB-DU4EWE is decent 5ft (151cm) cable. I get around 1650mA (Nexus 5 maximum allowed amperage) using it with 2A charger. Unfortunately the cheapest I found was here http://www.ebay.com/itm/321231245646 (you need to pick the option 'extra long 5 ft cable only'). It's around $8 with free shipping, so nowhere near the monoprice premium cable price range, but still it was the cheapest option for me (I'm living in Europe).
How do you measure the current draw? The apps from the play store seem inconsistent.

Not with existing customers. You can just use a different email address, or sign out as a guest and it will work just fine though.
Also, that code has expired (even though they said March 7th)...
This one works: TAXACT217
