Problem with kernel - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Android Development

Hello, I have a problem installing android on my Kaiser. Its a panel 2 screen. I cant get any .nbh to show properly, they are all either too small, or blurred and out of screen. I did come up with one that worked, but I tried its newer version and then got f'ed up again. Can anoyne please give me a fully working .nbh for a Kaiser, Panel 2 Normal keyboard, for Eclair? or FroYo, doesnt matter

have you tried to edit .nbh for your own kaiser?
see nbh editor from here
you can choose what version of android are you going to use, panel type and keyboard layout.
good luck

Changing from landscape to portrait in 6.1?

My question is simple how do I take the screen out of landscape mode and put it into portraite mode with out sliding the screen back over the keyboard?
The reason you need to do this is so games running in rawbuffer mode can run with out a screen glitch. So if any one could please help me that would be great.
I am running the stock sprint wm6.1 rom.
bump!!!!!
Anyone know it cant be that hard i searched and didnt find anything
Up to the top we go!
You might be able to get gyrator (i think thats the name) to do that. Just force it to portrait for a certain app/game?
Also look for change screen
Doing a search you´ll find
Go to Settings>System>Screen & there should be Orientation settings there. If they're missing, reenable them with AdvConfig 3.3 under the Screen settings
Ok so I tried Avdanced Conif 3.3 and I can not run the program first it said I needed the .net framwork. So I downloaded the 3.5 compact .net framwork installed in and then tried again. Nothing seems to get this program to run correctly. Tried a soft reset and installing 3.2 still nothing worked.
Sooo avd config wont work for me.
Change screen dont work for morph gear because the screen needs to be changed before the program is open so thats not going to work.
Same thing with gryator it says I dont have the .net framwork installed but I do I have tried reinstalling and I still get nothing.
Gyrator
G-sensor
Ok nm after the 3rd install of the 3.5 framework the programs are running. I will see if any of them can solve my issue.

ReCalibrate Screen, Edit Startup.txt - Android on TP2

I have a fresh install of Android on my HTC Touch Pro 2.
The install went fine thanks to TheBrilliantMistake's Tutorial.
The only thing I messed up was was calibrating the touch screen because I had never done a calibration like that before before. The touch screen function seems to be rotated 90 degrees to the right as far as I can tell.
I have entered the following line --
recalibrate=true
-- into the startup.txt a couple of different ways and I have had no success. I either get an error or Android just boots up with the touch screen all messed up again.
Android Rel 2.1 on WinMo 6.5
Can offer any other suggestions?
Thanks.
Missing setupmodem.sh
In order to get the phone to ask for calibration on boot I deleted the ts-calibration file from the root of the directory where Android is installed.
No changes to startup.txt where needed.
It's spot on this time...
Another problem:
On boot I can see this output "init: Cannot find setupmodem.sh Disable modem" and then when I do search for available networks in Android I get nothing, it just searches forever until I stop it. As a result I can't use my phone as a phone in Android..
Where can I find a copy of setupmodem.sh ?
Just wondering why you used Brilliantmistakes version for the TP when there is a TP2 version that already comes calibrated, with a startup utility that allows you to pick what handset you're using, a update utility that lets you update your zimage/modules/initrd/rootfs from the handset, auto backlight WM controller, and an apk manager...... oh, and did i mention you can pick from 3 different builds of android?

I'm not sure what you mean??? Have you flashed an android NBH (kernel) to your phone or are you trying android from sd card using haret? If you have already flashed an android nbh then doing a hard reset won't work because windows isn't in NAND anymore so there is nothing to restore. You will need to get a windows mobile nbh from the windows mobile section of the forum and put it on the root of your sd card and rename it to KAISIMG.NBH. You then need to hold down the camera button and power button together and the phone should turn on and go to the tri-colour screen where it will ask you if you want to flash your phone, press the power button and when it says it is complete reset the phone using your stylus. In terms of your problems getting into the install screen so you can install android, have you tried holding down the centre button on the dpad, or once the writing has started scrolling hold down the centre of the touchscreen should also work.
hey thanks for replay i worked from this menu :
#1 Does your Kaiser already have HardSPL? If not then get that done. Recommended to install 3.34 HardSPL.
#2 Does your Kaiser have a relatively new radio rom? If not then get one. Recommended to have 1.70.xx.xx and up.
#3 You don't need to SIM unlock you Kaiser, but it's a nice and easy precaution. Download KaiserUnlocker.exe to unlock your SIM. If you've already flashed your phone with Android, you'll need to flash back Windows Mobile 6.1. Go to the end of this post and it'll explain how to flash back to Windows Mobile. Bellow, you can see how easy the application works. Make sure your Kaiser is synced with your PC and follow steps 1 through 3. This means Windows Mobile Device Center, if you don't already have it. You should already have HardSPL from step #1, but this is an easier method to get it if you haven't done it yet, and you can always upgrade to 3.34 later, as this installer installs 3.29.
#4 Install a Android kernel. You can get the latest kernel from Dzo's site. Only download the newest Kaisimg file and choose the .nbh file that fits you. For example, "panel2" is for Kaiser owners with type 2 LCD screen, and 320 is if you want 240X320 resolution. Alternatively, you can download a kernel from kallt_kaffe, as he can make some changes which might not immediately show up on DZO's site.
You'll need to edit the NBH file using Loser's NBH Editor. The tool is very simple to use. Change resolution to the desired resolution you want, HW3D to the type of Android build you're using, Panel Type to the type of LCD screen you have, and finally keyboard type to the keyboard language you use. If you need more information on what panel type is, go to this link. The older and more complicated method to edit the NBH file can be found at the very bottom of this post.
#5 When you're done editing the .nbh, save it and rename it to KAISimg.nbh and place it on you memory card. You may want to put the KAISDIAG.NBH, but I've found it not necessary.
#6 Place the SD into your Kaiser and hold the Power button and camera button down, then take your stylus and hit the reset button. Follow the instructions on the screen to flash your Kaiser. When flashing is done, reset the device with your stylus. Make sure you see the confirmation that it is done.
!!WARNING ALL DATA ON YOUR PHONE WILL BE LOST!!
If the above method doesn't work, you can try this suggestion below.

#7 Download your favorite Android build. I use Incubus26Jc's Super Eclair, but you can use anyone you want. Only Donut builds like Myn's Warm Donut has everything working 100% on the Kaiser. Eclair builds are currently missing Camera and BT audio.
#8 On your SD card make a folder called andboot and place the androidinstall.tar file in there. It could also be called androidinstall.tgz. You may have to change settings in Windows to see extensions.
#9 Place the SD card in your phone and power on your Kaiser. When you see text on your screen hold down the D-pad. D-pad is that button in the center of your up, down, left, right buttons. Keep holding down the D-pad until you see something like this appear on your screen.
#10 Select sys on NAND, then data on NAND. Once done then select Install system and wait for it to finish. Once it's done select quit and it'll begin booting into Android.
right now i tryed to flash back to windows mobile with KAISIMG.NBH KAISDIAG.NBH
in sd card but the kaiser is restarting every 5 sec
damn i think i lost my phone
Have you got into the tri-colour screen yet? If not then pull your battery out and put it back in. Hold down the camera button while you press the power button and this should take you to the tri-colour screen which will detect the KAISIMG.NBH on the root of your sdcard. If you do not go to the tri-colour screen you have either not pressed both buttons simultaneously (i.e. pressed power before camera) or you have a hardware failure. Nothing that you have flashed will effect the tri-colour screen as this is hard coded onto the mainboard and cannot be overwritten.

[Q] I depseratley need help - Stuck on Linux screen?

I was trying to do the replacement Android trick on my Kaiser, I got to the part with making my own .nbh but I'm stuck at this Linux screen:
apply modules/androidupdate.tgz
Failed
I just want to get back to windows mobile now, but even that doesn't seem to work (I put the ROM's .nbh along with the KAISDIAG.nbh on my SD, and when I press the two buttons, then push the reset button, it says "Loading..." but it just freezes there.)
How can I revert back to WM successfully?
FYI: The WM .nbh is the stock 6.1 from the offical HTC site.
Any help is appreciated.
Nevermind! I had to install the rom via-USB, not SD.

[Q] Im looking fo a diamond rom which have auto align in flash setup(solved)

The reason i ask this is because i have a brick in 1 cable from the screen of my diamond.
When i align the screen it starts over and over again .
Yesterday i flashed it after some work(welcome.not file on the telephone)to an original rom, after that i hardspl''ed the phone to 1.40 olinex.
This al worked fine with the welcome.not file besides i had to edit the calibration values myself in the registry.
Now i tried 2 roms,''sheen nld''and another one which i forgot,and aztor.
but every time when i flashed them the align screen comes up when i start the phone after flashing and i cant skip it.
I also tried to place the ''welcome.not''empty file on the phone(on roots, phone and memory card)but after a soft reset it also deletes the welcome.not file.
So i am looking for an rom that has an sort of auto align in the rom after flashing,
cause i cant use the align setup ad cant skip it also.
Edit:
Flashed it back to an original 6.1 htc rom from the htc site.
Now the trick with the welcome.not file works again to skip the align screen.
Could it be that this welcome.not trick works only on wm6.1 and not on wm6.5?

This one did the job.
It skipped the align setup so i could install it.
