So I swapped out my htc hero for the diamond and im on sprint so obviously its cdma...will the rom's in this section work with my phone or do i need a cdma rom to work with my phone from the touch diamond cdma section? cause i thought only gsm roms work for gsm phones
This is the gsm section...you may brick your cdma diamond using softwares or roms posted here
But you can go in the cdma section ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=515 )

Is there some sort of way you can convert a Desire GSM ROM to a Desire CDMA ROM?
I would be willing to take the time.
hello
i want to know whats mean Desire CDMA and GSM ? i dont know my desire which one?
its depend on may carrier?
thanks
GSM use SIM cards to provide a service
CDMA are provided by a provider and can only used on that provider
thank u very much now i got it , then my desire is GSM.
You wanna know it because you are going to flash a custum rom I think?
When you are going to flash CyanogenMod for example you have to download the Desire Bravo, that one is for GSM.
I also have the Desire (GSM).
Good Luck
Just a very quick question, are they both share the same Radio? I mean when we refresh the radio, we do not need to care about if it is GSM or CDMA?
No they don't so don't even try it
Hello,
Way over my head again, just a question:
Is there an official update for my CDMA HTC Desire? I am using it with Open Mobile in Puerto Rico. 2.05.10.08.11 is the baseband, 2.1 update1. It does not want to update anything, says it's all updated.
I saw a thread with a US Cellular (CDMA) RUU but I'm not certain my phone will work with Open Mobile if I flash a ROM designed for a different carrier.
47 reads, no replies?
I've spent some time looking on the forums... I wouldn't have posted if I found what I was looking for.
Anyway I'm putting Alpharev on a CD - since I couldn't make a bootable USB with it.
I made a custom CDMA 2.2 ROM, it's somewhere in ROM Development
Can I flash a rom that is made for a T-Mobile Wildfire S onto my Virgin Mobile Wildfire S without problems? Or is the fact that the Virgin Mobile Wildfire S is CDMA and T-Mobile is GSM gonna brick my phone or make it not function correctly? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks! Has anyone with a Virgin Mobile Wildfire S tried flashing any of these roms?
I am interested in this one mainly.

This is not the place for asking read rules. Questions should be in General.
EDIT: For your question ROM is for GSM only and some reported it working on CDMA but wifi, sensors, etc. not working, also you might get your answer unless you flash it.
Will the custom ROMs in here work with the T-Mobile variant of the M8 that comes out tomorrow? Because the T-Mobile M8 thread seems pretty dead, granted the phone is released tomorrow...
S-Off your device and sure.
