Can anyone help? I want to be able to install android on my Vario 3 and also dual boot to wm 6.1. Is this possible and can anyone help point me in the right direction for a solution that works?!

Been searching these and other forums for a while but can't see any references to WM6.5. Has anyone seen this post:

I think it needs a bit of optimising though, maybe missing some drivers, hope someone can help.

heres a 6.5 rom for the samsung i780
does it keep the keyboard function are there anything that its missing as far as functionality on an omnia?

im running this 6.5 rom on my omnia the samsung keyboard and finger mouse work with this version
the only thing i can see that is missing is office mobile ie pocket word and pocket excel. These can be installed separately so it is not a problem.

the phone pad function??? but you install samsung keyboard after?? or the keyboard was already in the ROM?? I tried to install samsung keyboard after...but omnia sayd "installation was unsuccessful the program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions"..can someone help me please???

Hi Shokka - does the carrier matter? I have Verizon. I'm just getting used to the finger mouse - but can live w/o to test the 6.5 ROM you've done..

New to this forum and relatively new to WinMo so first question here... Will this 6.5 ROM work on the Samsung i760.
I would be very interested to know if anyone has found any for the Omnia I910, as the I900 roms will brick your phone.

well, before posting, please look at the second post of this forum (Diamond rom developpment)

6.5 is a completely new OS so your going to have to install Hard SPL (link in post above)
after that your free to download any chef Roms (don't Ask which one is best because people REALLLY don't like those kind of questions here)
just try a few out see how you like them, or if your feeling up to the challenge download a kitchen and create your own custom 6.5 rom
(PS. Rom = the OS + any programs/tweaks added
kitchen = the tools needed to create a Rom
cooking = the act of using the tools from the kitchen to create a custom rom)
hello, i have just bought tmobile wing, aka htc hernes. and i was just wondering if anyone has a site which explains clearly how to make wm 6.5 into touchflo 3d (which is just a htc veriety of wm 6.5) i want to basically upgrade to wm 6.5 touchflo 3d (latest v) edition. please if anyone has any instruction link and or instructions and programs and rom i need i would appriciate some feedback, i found a link as i always search forums before posting, however the instructions give were not clear.

why don't you try posting in the correct forum this is or Touch Diamond you have fake hero
There is a .cab file somewhere on this forum, search that and you can easely install Xdandroid on all supported phones

People, I'm trying to install the xandroid 2.2 (XDANDROID.2.2.AOSP.3.9.10.RC.2.2.system) on my Diamond with WM6.5 but I got lost on the system.ext2 file.
I found that it is a linux partition file and tried some software to manage it, but none worked on windows 7.
I'm searching for a couple hours but I'm lost what I should do with the system.ext2 file.
Tried a bunch of programs to open it, but all for naught.
Tried to search for a guide like http://xdandroid.com/wiki/Installation_Guide but it just tell me to "Unpack the entire XDAndroid release package into this directory [andboot]".
Help.
EDIT: I downloaded the RC2.1.7 and saw that that one has other files. As the RC2.2 has only the ext2, I got confused.

Hi. First of all, try searching before posting. If you looked carefuly, in the "Touch Diamod, MDA Compact IV ROM Development" section is a post named "[TUT]Complete upgrading guide (HARDSPL+Radio+ROM) NOT FOR CDMA USERS!!!"
So, you have to find out first if your device uses CDMA or GSM. Europe generaly use GSM networks. So if your device uses GSM, please read the thread mentioned above. To go there, click here.
