Does anyone know if I can download never versions of the Sense UI. If yes, From where?
Pretty sure there is no way to update the Sense UI, without flashing the whole ROM. That being the case, your best bet is to flash one of the custom ROMs offered on these forums.

Hello all;
I would like to return to a stock ROM. I don't want to un-root, I just want HTC Sense back. Where can I get a stock ROM or what Sense ROM would you recommend?
Thanks in advance!

There are a bunch of Sense roms in the dev section. Pretty much anything from Sense 2.1 to 3.5 Take a look and read the user responses
I'm in the same boat as the OP.
Please understand xda vets - someone rooting for the first time is very confused by all these acronyms, version numbers, etc. It's very overwhelming. I looked at the Inc2 dev section and it's like reading Sanskrit. I tried searching but people must use different terminology because my results weren't relevant to my question.
I just received a new Inc2 and all I want is a basic Sense rom that removes all of Verizon's bloatware. The phone has 2.3.3 with Sense 2.1. I'm really just looking for a stable rom. Just want to keep it simple for now.
Can someone recommend one?
I'd like to know as well. With my Droid X I could just SPF with RSD Lite and go back to an official original ROM, unrooted.
I haven't found any info on how to do this with my Incredible 2.
I doubt I would ever want to un-root and go back, but if for some reason I need to return the phone or trade it in, it would be nice to be able to go back to the phone's stock rom, un-rooted.
try Skyraider Zeus is very stable everything works,
Try this

I have a dInc, running Touch Of Blue v1.3, android 2.3.4, sense 1.0.
I like the rom but would like to upgrade sense, is it possible to do this without changing the rom. and where would I find the sense upgrade?

There's no easy way to upgrade sense to a new sense version like 3.0 without changing ROMs. There's too much involved making a newer sense version work on on the Incredible that it's not advisable to even try making a flashable zip that will upgrade just sense. Sense is too engrained in the ROMs that an update won't work.
thanks
thank you, I thought that would be the answer.
Situation:I've read through most of the HTC Sense roms on our forums and most of them show at least a few problems with missing/broken features. Currently on Virtuous Sense 2.1 which I love since the only thing that bothers me is: the "www./.com" is now a tab, one widget resets the htc sense UI(removed it though), and a small amount of lag. Currently I'm intent on having the latest HTC Sense Rom on my G2.
Question: Is it possible to just flash the stock HTC Sense roms onto the G2 and have it update on its own after I flash and unroot itself?
Question: If not, anyone have an HTC Sense rom available that is stable, full features working, little to no lag, and the procedure is forgiving(as in my G2 won't brick easily if I incorrectly executed a step)?
Notes: I used this procedure for rooting from XDA wiki: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/wik...sion#Rooting_the_Vision_.28G2.2FDZ.29_and_DHD). I really liked it because I failed a couple of times and pulled the battery and it still didn't brick however after I flashed, I wiped the sd card(kept backup files though) and replaced it with a higher capacity sd card.
For sense roms on a G2, you need to have the Desire Z hboot. Which from your description, you must already be having. You can go ahead and flash any rom of your choice.

Then after I should unroot and let htc sense update itself?
More than likely you will be better off not going stock if you want to keep root access and leave security flags off. If you do go back to stock you will not be able to run anything more advanced then what you have now, stock is still gingerbread and will never be updated past that unless you use a custom rom. There are many sense roms that are pretty good for the vision, almost all are better than stock in some way, I would suggest trying a few out to find what works best for you

That's just it, I'm tired of going through and flashing roms that are missing features/bugged/slow. Some I like, for instance Gen.Y R3, trickdroid, revolution(all snappy and quick) but they just miss that one feature I need most(eg auto rotate screen or htc locations is broken). Unless someone recommends one that fits the G2 on dzhboot perfectly I'm willing to flash one last time.
Honestly Virtuous Sense 2.1 was probably the best custom rom experience I've had because it had the least problems for my specific needs. It also happened to be the first rom I ever flashed to break my android rooting cherry =P.
Personally, I'm not into a lot of customizing right now, I just want a rom that I am satisfied with and forget about. I'm going back to Virtuous Sense in the meantime while I look for stock HTC sense roms that will update itself so I never have to worry about it again. (anyone know where to find a stock htc sense rom that is going to work on a G2?)
Like I said it won't update it self, htc will never update date this phone again the rom you are using (in my opinion) is better than stock, there are lots of others to try out if you would like, if you want stock that's fine but it will never update past android 2.3.x if you want more features, more stable, better battery life etc... go with a custom rom based off of stock

Thanks, I guess I skimmed over you mentioning the inability to update, alright time to get back on the flashing rom binge, watch me brick
Its real hard to brick your phone just flashing roms, be sure to do a full wipe!
If you need extra help rizzoizzo made a nice tutorial on how to flash roms for beginners, check in the first few pages of general section and be sure to thank him if it helps ya

Does anyone have a working link to a stock EVO 4G stock ROM that can then be used to update to the latest stock ROM+radios+whatever? I've been searching around here and the Internet in general, but I'm having trouble wading through the sea of dead links to stock ROMs and links to ROMs that have been hacked to remove radios and whatnot.
I've been using the last good Evervolv JB ROM and it's just too unstable, and my radios and stuff are probably out of date too, so I'd like to try going back to stock for a while.
Note regarding root: It would be nice to be able to keep root, but not if it means having to use stock ROMs that have been modified to the point where it will be a pain to update to the latest stock ROM+radios+whatever. I can always re-unroot myself if needed.
Thanks!

I'm looking for the exact same thing... I'd like to go back to the stock HTC Sense ROM, but I've lost my old backup copy (long story) and having trouble finding a suitable replacement. Did you happen to save a backup of your stock ROM before switching to the Evervolv ROM? If so, could you send me the Zip?
Or, if anyone out there on the forum could help, that would be great.
I was hoping to get some benefit to a more recent version of Android, but all the ROM's I've tried thus far seem to have one glitch after another. I'd prefer to go back to a stock, or some slightly upgraded version of the SENSE IU. Any suggestions appreciated.
I downloaded this ROM as it looked like a good "SENSE-esque" ROM, and looks like most everything is working on this version.

Thoughts?
I don't have a backup of my stock ROM as far as I know.
I really wanted something close to stock, so I think I ended up settling on [Rom]TN_Elousions3.2_OTA_5.07.651.6_Deoxed_Stock_Theme.zip which is a moderate mod of the last stock ROM.
I ended up going through the S-OFF process as well to make sure that I had the latest radios and such.
It's functional, but between the Sense changes and the fact that it's Gingerbread-based means that there are some things about the UI that just aren't as nice as Evervolv. The upshot is that the battery consumption is lower and the hardware features work or work better (4G, FFC, camcorder, FM radio, etc.).
I'm tempted to try one of the last official Cyanogen ROMs just to see if I like the UI better than Sense, but I'll probably just stick it out until I get a new phone.
Hi guys
New to all this stuff, have a bunch of questions here it would be nice to get answers
browsing the forum, found many threads of GPe custom roms
Is there a way to convert to Stock GPe Rom ?
What are the most popular Custom GPe Rom ?
Is there a way to revert to absolutely stock settings in case of a major catastrophy or mind change ?
You need a lollipop firnware, then you can flash all GPE custom roms from this forum.
Full converting is possible but ONLY if you have S-OFF ! You need the full RUU to do that.
If you just want to try GPE roms i suggest to just flash a custom one. If you don't like it you can easily flash a sense stock or custom rom again.
Converting back to sense needs a sense stock firmware and/or the full sense stock RUU.
Read on the GPE custom rom threads and see what YOU like, try it. The most popular doesn't mean the best, the best rom is the one that suits you the most
Happy flashing !
I've been running skydragon gpe (just couldn't face the hassle of going full gpe) almost exclusively since I got my m8, and each time I have flashed other (mostly sense based) ROMs I've flashed back to SD within a day or so
It's a lovely clean and smooth rom!

If I understand correctly, full convert as well as converting back to stock is possible, I come from a nexus ecosystem, I am familiar with stock android experience and pretty uncomfortable with sense, touchwiz and stuff... I want to fully convert my One M8 Eye GPe and revert it back only in case I have to sell it

Well, I thought maybe with two pounds of luck it would work, there's no m8 eye forum in here
what are my options here ? no full convert ? custom rom ? stick with sence & install google now ? that last one was my starting idea but I really really hate the notification center icons....
