Howzit guys,
I would like to know if it is possible to create and edit documents on this phone? I have quick office which allows me to open documents, but not edit them? Or am I missing something here?
Is there a free app in the market place for this?
Many thanks!

Documents to go costs 15$ but its decent, haven't tried any of the free apps.

Problem I have with paid apps is I am in South Africa and it doesn't seem to be supported here. Is there anyway around it?
You can either use a Market Enabler (for rooted phones) to enable the Market in your area, or you can buy direct from Dataviz.
It's a great application and well worth the money.

Dave
I will have a look for Market enabler.
Many thanks!
Cannot find Market Enabler. Where would I be able to get the .apk for it?
I am also from a country where you cannot buy from the Market so I bought directly from the developers' site. Very easy to do.

download market enabler
Already tried that, doesn't make any difference, shouldn't there come a field where to login?

no - after u manually install market enabler(google the app) then launch the app, hit Save Seettings(for future use) and longpress the us line for instance - then select fake this provider
it should then ask you for root permissions, and voila - ur done
now u got paid apps...
That did the trick, the market enabler downloaded from market, didn't work at all...
Market enabler is not in market because google banned it once :-/
There was some other market fix, dunno what that's for then
MarketEnabler_3.0.8.apk (82.18 KB)

hmm it would be tough to track them down then. If you didn't install them from the market then that means you downloaded them as a .apk file, right? Check on your SD card for the apk files.
They gave it to you for free?

You cannot reinstall apps from the .android.secure folder anyway. Android creates a special file unusable file, when they are on the SD Card. To prevent piracy.

I tried that, and it didn't work. I cannot buy it in China...
Then all I can suggest is Market Enabler from the market.
But you do need root access.

Is it possible if you use a proxy? If so, try Tor (either on your pc or use the official Tof app called Orbot on your phone)

Since market enabler doesn't work on ICS, is there another way I can fake my location/carrier so I can install US only apps?

I don't think anyone will answer about where to get apps for free but your first step is to root. See sfhub's "Autoroot" thread. If you use the word "jailbreak " over here, you wont get much help. There is alot of IHate around here. :sly:

Download this app called FDroid: http://f-droid.org/FDroid.apk
Once installed it will list all applications in the repository that are Free & Open Sourced – for example, released under a GPL or Apache license.
If your looking for a specific paid app on the Market for free you won't find any help here. However, FDroid can possibly help you find free alternatives.
