I want to alter the HtcLockScreen so that I can swipe down to unlock and swipe up to put the phone in silent (vibrate) mode.
The arc can obviously slide up since that is how you "ignore" a phone call.
I am rooted, s-off, and running the Virtuous 2.7 ROM

I have an EVO 4g running 4.24.651.1 Rooted and the past couple days I have had a weird thing happen to my Lock screen. It wasn't recognizing my 4 digit PIN. I had to downgrade back to 2.2 and flash 2.3 again. This seems to be happening around midnight. I use it for work and get my emails through exchange, so I need some security.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I don't understand your problem. You can use your phone and the PIN code works fine until midnight? But it works again at another time?
It stopped recognizing my PIN to unlock it. I first tried flashing 2.3 first but it kept all my settings, so I had to downgrade back to 2.2. Then I flashed 2.3 again and set a new PIN to unlock the home screen. It worked fine all day, then around midnight, I tried to unlock it and it didn't recognize my PIN again.
So you're locked out of your phone right now? Which ROMs are you flashing to and from anyways?
Did you wipe data when you flashed?
I'm currently running [ROM][STOCK] 4.24.651.1 DeOdexed which I got from here and flashed from a rooted stock froyo 2.2. I've had 4.24.651.1 running on my evo since 6/23 without any issues.
Since 6/23, I also ran theses extras:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133913.
Monday night is when it didn't recognize my PIN.
I'm not currently locked. I didn't set a PIN for the Home screen just in case this happens again. I did wipe it and using Titanium Backup Root to restore my settings and apps.
I currently have myn's warm 2.2 rls5 rom installed, as well as the latest netarchy kernel (for full hdmi mirroring), and when I place the phone in airplane mode, in the notification bar when pulled down, I get the message, "Fdn enabled, please disable fdn and try again." This message is also normally displayed on the lockbar, except I have a custom lockbar installed. This message takes up valuable space in the notification bar also, and I want to remove it. Is there any way to do this? I am running android 2.2, and since I'm rooted and like my setup, I see no reason to update, at least not yet. Any help concerning this problem?
Hi guys,
So I recently converted my phone to a GPE edition with the RUU in order to experience Lollipop.
After a while I missed the Sense features a lot, so I decided to go back to Sense.
I followed the steps in this thread and succesfully flashed the firmware and a stock nandroid. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733523)
I booted up and discovered that root had persisted. I wanted a fully clean Sense wipe, so I decided to do the following.
I installed TWRP, did a factory reset and formatted /system/. I then installed the stock recovery again and flashed the following RUU through the SD-card + hboot method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/general/htc-one-m8-european-signed-ruu-0p6bimg-t2911563 (the 1.12.401.17 one)
Everything ran succesfully, no errors popped up and the process said "succes, press power to reboot" or something.
I set my phone up again, not restoring from backups and keeping a minimal amount of apps installed. Ever since the RUU flash I have noticed the following things:
-The phone will turn on randomly from sleep. When it's on my desk, even when nothing is prompting it to wake up (no notifications or anything). Like it's responding to phantom wake gestures.
-Music playback will quit at a random point through a song. The music boomsound icon will still display in the status bar but the music player completely quits and the app reloads when opened.
-Apps refresh during use. When i'm using some apps, like the settings or music app, it will "refresh" and scroll back to the top. Not due to excessive ram usage.
-The auto rotate toggle doesn't work. Even with auto rotate disabled, it still rotates to landscape and upside down. I redid the g sensor calibration but didn't help
I experience this issue on every update, and i've updated back up to 4.4.4 sense. Neither a factory reset nor a reflash of the ruu fixes these issues. I'm very certain that the RUU is flashing succesfully.
I looked at memory use and it's sitting at a very modest 800mb out of 1.8Gb.
Anyone have any idea what is happening to my phone?

Currently stock GPE after a full conversion. But the issue also occured on stock sense and all sorts of different firmwares, kernels etc.
Hi there,
I use the viperOne Rom and never used the stock rom, so I didn't now, which one make my trouble.
If I start the phone I get one Lockscreen with slider and if this unlocked, I get another screen with password.
How can I disable the first one?
Thanks
Midyr
Hi guys, I have a serious problem,my lockscreen is gone. In the settings it's set to 'pattern lock'.. And also I did not disabled it with other mods/apps.. Can you guys help me somehow? Or just how to unlock the sim card? (i know the pin for it, but its just doesnt ask for it, but its locked) more info about my phone in my signature.
So you're saying that you were just using it and everything was fine, and then all of a sudden there was no lock screen? Is your rom stock or custom? Did you do anything in /system with file explorer, etc.? Do you have Xposed? Did you reboot, and then it happened, or just lock the screen?
Its a stock rom. I didnt do anything, so that's why I dont understand what the heck has happened. I have xposed.
4 days ago my father called, the phone was in my pocket, and somehow I sent a message to him, and the lockscreen froze. I thought okay, imma reboot you now. And that since then I dknt have the lockscreen. If i lock the screen with the button and just pressing it again its like if there were no lockscreen, it takes my right back where I left.
So i'm checking out the permissions for the gesture.key and password.key, and they seem to have right permissions. (rw-------)
So I cut them out of there, I'm rebooting now, let's see what happens.
I saw the lockscreen for a second!!!!
Okay, I set up a new pin, now it's working fine!
