I have seen other posts regarding this issue but I have never seen a solution. I have a Sprint TP2 and recently bought a TV out cable. I can stream any info from my phone onto my TV except Sprint TV. When I try it it gives me an error saying Sprint TV cannot be used in TV Out mode.
Are there cabs out there to fix this? Anyone know of a work around for this?
Bump.
No one knows of a fix for this?

So I have been trying to figure this out. Acording to my Sprint Guy I should be getting my EVO tomorrow. From what I can tell only some apps will work via TV out. It appears that Sprint TV is one such app that will NOT work via TV out. Has anyone figured out how to get TV out to work with Sprint TV and possibly other Apps (SPB TV) I am really considering using my EVO for all my TV needs Coupled with Play on and Wireless tether I think I can do it and save a little $$ Plus it would be nice to output web videos to the TV. (This may work since youtube will work on TV)
Thanks,
I have a Galaxy Nexus on Verizon running stock Jellybean. I am a huge football fan and love the live streaming on the nfl mobile app. I would love it even more if i was able to stream it to the TV using the hdmi but everytime i connect it, the app recognizes that it is streaming and stops it saying "hdmi detected". Is anyone aware of a work around? I searched everywhere but couldnt find anything other than some apps for the droid x. Any suggestions? Thanks for the consideration.
any ideas?
There has to be a way. I have seen other threads with this topic but they all went unanswered....anyone wanna be the hero and find the answer?
i dont think we're gonna see a fix for this anytime soon can someone tell us if it's even possible?
I was hoping the exact same thing. Seems like you should be able to watch it on MHL adapter / HDMI if you're paying for it. Grrrr....
Hi all. I am looking to ditch my cable plan completely and use a jailbroken/unlocked apple tv or fire tv. Can anyone tell me which is better? Ive seen apple tv has a ton of media programs and you can find almost anything on it. On fire tv ive only seen that you can put xbmc on. Please correct me if im wrong. Thanks for the help.
Hi guys,
I have a weird problem I cannot solve and it drives me crazy.
My girlfriend and I have an older Philips TV (t315xw02vf). As we enjoy watching Amazon Prime and Netflix, we bought the new FireTV 3rd gen. Not that we needed the newest version, it just wasn't possible to buy an older one via Amazon Germany.
Now the problem: the TV won't recognize the FireTV. It keeps showing "No signal". All HDMI inputs of the TV work, I tried with my laptop and an HDMI cable. The FireTV itself works, too, I tried at my parents house (they have a newer TV). Of course, the FireTV is active, it even gets slightly warm. I also tried to set the resolution to the lowest possible (via my parents TV), but even then the problem stays.
I consulted Google, and it seems there are known problems with HDCP 2.2, but I thought that was only a problem with 4k streaming. Or does the FireTV 3rd Gen use HDMI 2.0 and my TV has only 1.0? Does anybody know a solution? As we are students, the FireTV was quite expensive for us, and buying a new TV is no solution either...
I'd be really grateful for help. Thanks in advance.

Hi, so ive been trying to mirror my phones screen to my Samsung smart tv wirelessly. I go through all the steps, making sure the phone and tv are on the same wirless network etc. It the tv finds my phone and vice versa but after actually trying to connect . I get connection failed on the phone side and sharing cuts itself off. I saw on another forum that other people had the same issue since the last offical update. Anyone here had this issue or know of a fix?
I haven't seen anyone mention it, but a lot of us use Chromecast with our Smart TV....
