I'm trying to get the latest google maps from the Market to work on my device, the problem is every time i start the app its very laggy and then force close, or the whole device freezes and reboots.
tried 3 different roms (MIUI, Oxygen, CM7) they all have the same results.
Maps version 5.7 and 5.10 works fine, but not V6+.
any1 else have the same problem ??
am I missing anything ?!

i think i'll downgrade my maps application and see if it works....
Is anyone else having trouble with chrome beta? For the last 2 days chrome does not work. It opens up, but just sits there and then doesn't respond and have to close it. I have cleared data, uninstalled then reinstalled. I have reinstalled older version from titanium backup, and still it does nothing!!! Does anybody have any suggestion? Plz help!
What rom are you on? I am on aokp and it works fine.

Sorry i guess i forgot to post that I am on cm9 beta 0. It had been working fine before on same rom and I tried 2 different roms last night with same results even with clean installs on all! I even tried side loading the apk and had same results!
my chrome stopped working after flashing blue mist theme. gooch updated so is working now. may not be your prob since its not working with fresh install or different rom but if anybody else is having prob and running theme grab the new release.

Yeah, I have already downloaded the CM7.1.2 build from whitexp, some said it boot properly. but I want to hear more feedbacks and waiting for more patches to fix other know bugs... thinking twice if am gonna flash it or not.. but it's a great start... :good:

The colour swap is gone
All other problem from older builds are still present.
Data connection appears but no app can be connected

Atleast they have fixed the color swap bug, and soon other bug will be fixed.. let's hope for the best. What kernel did whitexp put on his latest release? Haven't tried it yet. :victory:

I got madteam's CM7 working on my phone. Indeed, wifi and bluetooth are not working. Also the interface feels a bit sluggish as the rendering is done in software mode. Color's fixed as per WhiteXP. I'd like to post some screenshots but I don't even know where CM7 saved them

white is releasing new build after somedays with telephony fixed
till then use master-key build nd replace some files with whitexp build to fix graphics
i am trying to fix some bugs and i needed calling facility so i mixedup them...

Camera crashes when going to movie mode. Open camera works fine.

what modem and nightly?
No sound at all
I recently experienced a problem after using CM 13 for quite a while on my S3 T-999. The phone doesn`t make any sound at all. Neither the speaker nor the microphone. I flashed LineageOS a few days ago but the problem still persists. I also tried Mokee rom but it also couldn`t get rid of this issue. I finally flashed stock rom and the sound is back. I can make calls and use youtube, the audio is just fine on stock rom.
The only problem is jellybean is too slow and battery consuming for my aging S3. Guy do you have any idea how can I make the sound work on this rom ? Any help would be appreciated.
What are the best custom Kernels to go with this ROM ???

This device is still Rock solid and it's a shame we don't have support on this device anymore. I understand the developer though and I thank him for all his effort up until now. I hope someone else could continue his work on this great phone

Stable , smooth and its a stock rom of huawei
I faced a wierd problem after flashing the ROM,
I could not turn the WiFi on..
But then I SOLVED the issue by reflashing the ROM and then skipping all the initial step such as Google account login...
Then WiFi started working fine...later I logged in with no issues...:good:
Does this rom supports Magisk and Xposed for Magisk module? If someone tries then do let us know.
This ROM is epic. Thanks for this, just that the low DPI is a little to small for me though (yes I have tried using Easy DPI Changer). I guess I'll just increase the font size using the original DPI of this ROM. xD
The only problem I've experienced is the problem of camera not being able to focus properly. Please check if this a general problem as it was persistent in mine.

Flash the updated camera patch provided with MIUI 8 ROM...
You can also flash the same patch with stock ROM

Okay thanks for this. I had flashed the second updated Camera Fix that was given in this thread and I had experienced the error.
But what do you mean by flashing it with Stock ROM? Stock ROM already has everything working properly though.

Not in this threads....In the MIUI thread..
And I've flashed the camera fix patch on both this and stock ROM because it gives the background some decent blur to make the pic look good..

I installed the Rom and i must say it looks so good and works so smooth the icons and interface looks beautiful.. The only strange problem am facing is that am not able to connect to wifi as am not getting any mac address or the IP address in the advanced setting menu, so please help me to fix this as i dont wanna switch from this rom because of this problem.. i already installed the Rom from the scratch by also wiping the internal storage but still the same issue, any fix will be really appreciated..

Flash the ROM.....
Don't sign in to your Google account during the initial setup...skip everything...
Once the setup is complete... reboot...and sign in to WiFi....

The only bug I experienced was that after changing the DPI to 320, the UI literally broke. The notification bar had all the broken lines, the icons went haywire. Everything seemed like a chaos which ruined the experience for me though. I don't exactly think if a fix is possible since it might be the issue of porting for a device but regardless, it was important to mention.
