I am replacing my keyboard on my AT&T Tilt, note I am saying keyboard and not the keypad on front of phone.
I have made one such post on this on xda already without much success in response, maybe because I couched the question wrong, not understanding what I really wanted to say.
So, here I go again.
I am looking to install a TyTnII keyboard on my AT& Tilt. I may purchase from here:

What do I need to do to make this keyboard compatible with my Tilt? I have seen threads talking around this subject but cannot get specifics on the TyTnII keyboard drivers (ROM) for use on the Tilt. I have seen some posts suggesting installing a ROM, but it seems these posts suggest flashing the Tilt with an entire TyTnII ROM, not just the keyboard ROM which I want to avoid. If someone has just such a suitable ROM - TyTnII keyboard ROM for use on a TILT, I would be so appreciative.
I have seen some posts suggesting editing the Tilt registry. But what do you use to edit the registry? I would prefer this option if the registry editor was freely available. Could someone please advise where I can find a regsitry editor for free or how else I could effect this? What is the correct registry edit?

I've got a problem regarding my keyboard.
I've bought a HTC Touch Pro 2(picture attached),
and flashed it with the Timor 9 ROM, and it works great! (Thanks Timor )
The only problem is my keyboard is not working properly.
Does anybody which layout to choose and which registry tweak to enter to solve this?
The problem is in the hardware keyboard layout.
The Timor ROM was originally written for a T-mobile Vario V.
I've looked on this forum for over 3 hours(excluding the one hour maintenance break )
but did not found a solution for this.
Is some PLEEEEEAAAASE able to help me?
Can anybody tell after seeing my layout in attached picture, which registry value to use for
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\Ime\KeyboardLayouFiles\07FF ?

I did the European WWE ROM update on my AT&T Tilt 2 and the keyboard is not quite right.
Anyone have a way to get the fixed?

does anyone know where I can find a fix for the physical keyboard, I found one for the Tmobile Touch Pro 2, but that has a different keymapping than the tilt 2

Try the first .cab linked here.
I haven't tried it, since I've got a TmoUSA TP2, but it's supposedly the right one for Tilt2.

Did it work for you? I have the actual .CAB if it doesnt work.
Yesterday I flashed a different ROM to my phone and today as I was sending a text message, I realized the keyboard layout is messed up, the top row of the keyboard now comes up as digits. And my Shift key doesn't work, my FN key is shift, so my FN key does not bring up the special characters. I thought it might of just been the ROM but I just flashed my 3rd ROM for the night and ALL of them did it.
How do I fix this?
Here is a keyboard fix for the Tilt 2
Just install it like any other cab. It will have you reset your device, then the keyboard layout should be correct.
It would help if you tell us which ROM you are using.
The different carrier versions of the TP2 have different keyboard layouts, and it sounds like you have the ATT Tilt2 version. Different cooks approach the keyboard customization differently, and its usually listed in the FAQs for that ROM. For instance, for Energy, you just go to Start>Tools>Carrier Provisioning and select ATT.
Or just use the CAB in the reply above.

Can anyone provide wwe settings for RHOD100_uk hardware keyboard. It worked well in earlier simplicity rom's and Energyrom since last 3 weeks its not ok
