I just received an email from Seidio newsletter today, the Innocase for the Samsung Captivate is NOW SHIPPING!!!
seidioonline.com/category-s/4407.htm
Just placed my order!
Nice, 2 weeks after I just got my BodyGlove Mirage case. I was actually looking at this one too but wasn't sure how long it would be before they were available.
Please post your thoughts on your case when you get it (pics if possible). I'd like to know how the case fits and feels. I think it's a 2 piece (bottom and top) slip-on rather than a front and back snap together according to the pictures on their site.
It looks very similar to the OEM Samsung Carbon Fiber case which turned out to be not so good so I returned it.
Thanks!
definitely contemplating this. Been reading so-so reviews on the amzer case.
Received the same notification. Had one of these for my HTC Fuze and have been waiting patiently for this release. Ordered one as well.

Thats case linked is way to BLAH
i placed my order today as well, hopefully will be in soon. i'll be trying to sell my body glove case now, never really liked it that much.
I'm just glad to see they will be offering a range of colors. I'm going to hold out for the Amethyst.

I just got mine today and i must say i love it...
Anyone care to post pics?
Any feedback on this case?

I just got mine today and it is awesome.
I have
the clear snap on case - no gaps but is super hard to get off and feels very molded and cheap. The finish is very smooth / slippery plastic. But overall protects well.
Samsung snap on case - Much easier to remove, and has small gaps where the case snaps together. The finish is a nice velvet checkerboard. The finish is a little rough around the edges the way it was applied / could be better.
Slip in hardcase w/ optional Beltclip - Protects the screen and has an optional snap on belt clip. The phone does not slide completely into the case there is about 1/2 inch of the phone sticking out. Overall okay quality.
This Seido case - Precision made, great finish looks perfect. By far the best of all of them.

Yeah I will try to get a hold of my brothers camera, or my other brothers captivate to get some pictures.
I took a bunch of pics with my bros camera. The first ones suck because I took them and didn't know he had some weird settings on it. Some of the later ones are better.
http://www.thevod.org/misc/captivate/100OLYMP/
All the pics wont be done uploading until about 30 mins from now. Also there is a video in there. And it was made with the wicked bad settings. Not sure what mode he had it in but it is a little yellow.
Thank you for the pictures and fast response! Did you also get the belt clip with that case?

Looks like the buttons would be hard to press? Mainly looking at the power/sleep button. Any issues with being able to press it?? Def interested in getting this. Have a Amzer case and it is an Ok case, and i know it is going to be some time before we get a case from Otterbox.

Thank you very much for all the pictures!!! I want this case but its a lot of money for a case imo. My co worker got a case and clip combo like this one for his droid x for $30! which makes me not want to pay $50 for this lol.
Anyway it looks like a really really nice case. I'm sure I will break down and buy this lol
THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

Just in case anyone is interested in this case, I just wanted to let you know it is pretty fantastic. I've had it since I've had the phone (only about 4 days currently) but it fits very securely and the bulk it adds is negligible.
I additionally got the holster for it also and seems to we working securely. Just went out clubbing Saturday night and didn't have any problems with it even while dancing and all.

Thanks for the info, been looking at both the Active X and the Innocase Surface. Still not sure which one I want and too cheap to buy both.
I dont like the lip this case leaves over the screen. i love the cases look though its awesome. I just wouldnt be able to take the lip i dont like that at all. Its deff better looking than the surface case but i think thats what im going with. I did order a TPU case off ebay for $5. Its really nice looking. Idk the policy on links on this site so i wont post but search in ebay S-line case its really nice for the money still waiting on it but i only ordered a few days ago.
I just received the blue case (had to wait a bit, they only had the black one in stock for a while) and I also LOVE it. In addition to looking great, not adding too much bulk and feeling good in the hand, it also makes the volume rocker and POWER BUTTON easier to push. My power button had become quite a pain to push, and this case does a great job of making it easier. I would definitely recommend the Active X case.
does anyone know how this case compares (bulkwise) to the vzw silicon/plastic 2 layered case? I have the vzw one and it is a bit bulky for my tastes so far and it doesnt add much grip.

Likely not. I haven't tried specifically with this phone, but I've tried with others and it doesn't normally work. They do have a holster / case bundle, which is what I bought, and it works really well.
the holster gets old quickly with a phone this big. the BB is about as big as i would go with a holster
I just got my S-line case (black) from eBay and I love it. It adds very little bulk, seems like it will do a good job protecting my phone, and looks very nice.
Definitely worth the $5!

There seems to be 2 types of materials, 3 finishes.
On mine, the clearish part is a slightly-bendable hard plastic with the texture of what all of my matte hard plastic. Think the type of plastic that is one most power adapters (that aren't shiny) but add a slightly bendable aspect to it.
The black part on the back is shiny, slick, smooth, and more flexible. It's similar to silicon cases (what I can assume you mean by soft gel/rubber) but I think it's still different. It seems to be less "floppy" even though it is very bendable. The shiny black part seems to "stick" to certain surfaces (such as my desk and other hard/flat surfaces) but not to some that you would expect (it doesn't stick to my pockets at all and glides just fine across my clothing, car seat, and non-leather furniture - it might stick to leather, I don't know). The black part on the front appears to be the same material as the black part on the back, but with a matte finish. The result of the different finish is that it doesn't have the "stickiness" on much of any surface, yet still gives your hand a slight bit of grip beyond what the stock TBolt gives you.
Overall, the "feel in hand" is comfortable and it gives you extra grip but doesn't feel sticky or anything like that. Imagine going from a slick, hard-plastic phone to a phone with a rubberized body (like our TBolt has). Going from a naked TBolt to this case is kinda like taking that one step further. But in no way could I ever describe it as "feeling sticky" in my hand or pocket.

So it looks like/feels like it's not going to just fall apart or anything like that, if that's what you mean. I can't envision drops/dings or other daily use wearing it down.
The ONE concern that I have about it holding up is because it is made with two types of "plastic" (I don't know if it's plastic, silicon, rubber, or whatever, hence my quotes). I fear that if I take the case off and on a lot (for my car dock), that the joints of the two plastics might start to come apart. This is NOT based on any quality issues that I have seen so far, just a concern based on the fact that this wasn't produced in a single mold when it was melted down (this is coming from somebody with an engineering background).
I will be shocked, though, if I have a problem with this case in the next 6 months, and for $5, well, I'd say that's pretty damned good!

Read my post a couple posts up about the 2 different types of materials with 3 finishes. As best as I can tell, the inside is the same material as the outside. What this means is that 60% of it is the very flexible plastic while the clear part does cover ~40% of the back. I would expect the black part to offer more protection to a fall/bump than the clear part, and fortunately the black part covers most of the corners and edges. Still, I expect the clear part to offer more protection than a hard plastic case would.
Updated the OP with some photos. Perhaps they will help.
thanks for the detailed feedback!
This case will also fit into the Verizon holster/shell combo holster. You just can't use the VZW shell, but it'll slide into the holster. The fit is a little snug, but it works. I like to swap out this case with the VZW shell. This one provies more protection, but the VZW one is pretty cool too.
In case anybody was wondering, I got mine from this seller from China: http://goo.gl/62Fhx
It took something like 10 days to get to me, but I didn't mind since it cost less than a good burger.

Not sure about this one, resembles the Neo Hybrid in a way, just doesn't have sperate layers.
http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/23551468/-/Product.html
Think im gunna take a gamble on the Italk one. Thin around the back, has holes in all the correct places. Looks like ir protects the phone when its turned over.
For £4.96 you can't go wrong really!
It's hard to tell from the photos whether it really does protect the front of the phone (when you place it face down). I'd be interested in what you find!
Yeah, i know what you mean. To be fair. I nver plce my phone screen way down anyway!
Came this morning, Looks promising.
Will upload pics etc in few hours
First impressions are its very nice and slim!
Cant hardly tell its there!
Pros
Slim
Feels nice
Doesn't look cheap
Gives sight screen potection (I mean slight, 1mm tops)
Cons
Doesn't give much protection to Camera
Buttons on side could irritate some people.
To be fair, i wanted a slim case, which this is. I dont intend to launch my phone around, i always place it down back first.
Ill try and add some pics of the phone in the case soon.
Shots of the phone in the case.
I apologise in advance, The worst digital camera i've ever seen used in my life!
Gives you a rough idea, if your sat here now thinking, should I, Shouldn't I buy one. Go ahead and do it! You won't be dissapointed for £4.95
Also available on eBay for about £3
Feels rather weird having this case on, been use to thickness and the lip over on the Neo Hybrid!
How's the grip with this case?
Yeah, its alright, feels nice in the hand.
Honestly its a really nice case for £4.95, or £3 on ebay.
You wont be dissapointed!

This is my review of my new Seidio Active Case. I own a Ballistic, D3O and now this. It is not bulky & does add much thickness. It is 2 pieces, similar to Ballistic - inside silicone and hard plastic shell. The silicone is smooth similar to the D3O but unlike Ballistic. It isn't the same material as D3O so it does pick up some lint but easily wipes off. It has a kickstand that seems pretty durable. The smooth silicone is easy to slide in & out of pants pockets (doesn't get hung up). It does not make screen protectors bubble - if you see the bubbling at the bottom it is from my D3O case use and wont go away...
Overall, this will be my daily case. I am very happy with it and it looks slick! I will be happy to answer any questions. Added pics below....
Thanks for the review, really like that back stand.
I just picked up this case and already love it. It really isn't any more noticeably bulky than the TPO or Insignia case I used before, yet my phone feels more protected and fits like a glove, unlike the other two that weren't quite as form fitting as I would like. The kickstand is just an awesome bonus.
So far, definitely the best case I've used for this phone.
Same case, same opinion here. Awesome, not too bulky. I'd prefer naked, but I run a Distribution Warehouse, and use my phone at work. Taking falls into concrete is bad for phones.
Any good deals on this case?
I have the blue one, it really is a nice case and pretty sturdy.

Blue Seidio
Great review. I bought the Seidio Active case after my black and white D30 developed cracks for no apparent reason (it had never been dropped) Luckily TMO let me return it.
I bought the Seidio Active Combo (Blue) with holster of Amazon for 40.00 Shipped. I like the case because it is easy to remove so you can swap batteries. A little thicker than the D30 but not as thick as many other cases. Buttons and port openings line up perfectly. It does attract a little dust or pocket lint. Some early reviews spoke of an echo with the speakerphone. It did not do that on mine.
The Sapphire Blue is a metallic type color that seems to change a bit under different kinds of light. The pics I've seen did not do justice to the blue finish. I just want to find a paint like this for my scooter.

Seidio Active case kickstand
Love the case and like you said it looks slick. Just have one question. from pictures I have seen the kickstand looks as though it protrudes from the back of the phone. Does this cause the phone to not sit flat when you set it on it's back? Do you get a rocking affect if you were to try to type with the phone flat on it's back?

It does cause a slight slant but the rocking effect is minimal and only when you are pressing the very bottom of the screen. To be honest, I never even realized this until testing for you... If I press the screen anywhere above the bottom 1/4 of the phone there is no rocking. Hope this helps!
That is awesome to know. Honestly that was my only reservation about getting this case. I love the look of it and doesn't seem to add much bulk to the case. Thanks for following up on this, now I can order one!

Going to order later on tonight so I will definitely let you know! Thanks again....
this is by far the best t989 case available, however would be nice if they would make the surface case for the t989 version. its a solid hard case that adds very lil bulk and more protection, its also very easy to remove. i had it for my sensation and would love it for this one. but seidio seemed to leave the t989 out on it bc its available on all other sg2 models except ours.
My damn kickstand always made a very noticeable click when I would use it but today it broke off. Sent email to Seidio waiting to here back from them. If they can send me a new kickstand I think I can fix it.

Let me start this review just by saying that i love bumper cases. I
have been looking over the internet to find the best bumper case for
our Galaxy s3. I came across this case. Its a STRONG silicone bumper
that completes me in every aspect.
First of all. Its cheap. I think that everyone can try a cheap case
and if they dont like it, they throw it to their dog. (hehehe) Guys,
seriously. this is the best bumper case i have seen over the internet.
Why? It has a nice touch when you are holding your
phone. VERY nice touch. You will want to just hold your phone because
it has a nice feel Second of all: PROTECTION. And i mean it. Front,
back and sides are fully protected.
Front side (screen): the case has a slight bump on the edges so if the
phone drops the floor, its still protected (floor not the road hehe).
Back: Again, the case has a bump on the edges. So if your phone drops
on the back, protected!!! if you want to lay down your phone on a
table: PROTECTED.
Sides: Full protection, which is obvious why: its the case hehe.
Buttons: FULLy accessible button, both power and volume buttons. They
are covered by a soft silicone so there are very easy to press
(compare to the other tpu case i have reviewed)
I dont know if there are more colours available. You must check on
sellers ebay site.
Rating: If this case would be rated its a rock solid 5/5. Believe me
on this. It defenently worths every peny guys. I even compare it with
a TPU bumper case, that i have reviewed last week, amd this is by far
better.
Enjoy the pictures. I tried to take as many as possible.
I will review more bumper cases in the near future so stay tuned.
You can buy this on this link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Simple-Blac...620863?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3f1b0aa03f
if you find this review helpful, hit thanks
Nice review! Around the volume rocker it might need a little work but I've already ordered one of these.. 4$ shipped to Canada and it looks decent.
Thanks for the review!

Do you guys mean the material of the case degraded? This is all one-piece right? I was JUST shopping for my first bumper case and saw some aluminum ones that snap or screw together, but it seemed like the TPU ones are just a single piece of material and wrap around the edges.
Its a single piece mate. Plus you dont lose any signal plus its a snap in snap out plus its veryyy cheap
How does this fit with a zag shield?
Galaxy S3 Paranoid ROM.
I think that with the zagg shield you will be ok. The case has already a tight fit so its better not to use extra protection underneeth. I dont think you need zagf shield for the back cover because its already protected from the case.

If it is anything like the one for the Galaxy Nexus (and it appears to be the same), there is a hard plastic material used on the rear portions of the bumper, while the piece which surrounds the screen is flexible rubber. With the GN, the two materials separated.

Thanks for the review, I ended up buying the same one but in white. I'm guessing they come from china because this thing isn't going to arrive for like three weeks haha. Oh well whatever.
My clear diztronic tpu case is starting to turn yellow and blue from my jeans so I really need something else. For three bucks I hope it holds up for a little while.
Do you think the the bezel or screen would get damaged if I dropped it from pocket height and it hit the corner on cement? Just wondering if I should still be extra careful when using this bumper.
