You have to place both the jar and the jad in the same dir.
The jad only isn't enough.
Didn't try it though.
Install any email client with IMAP support and enjoy gmail.
^.^
Don't forget to activate IMAP protocol in your Gmail options !

Thanks for these suggestion. I am using really great e-mail application "ProfiMail". However I really like this on-line mobile java application of gmail (I am using it on my SE p990). This is very convenient and doesn't need to store messages locally - that's why I am trying to start this java gmail.
Adwinp: I could not to download separate JAD and JAR files, because the download and installation process is automated after click on link on page http://gmail.com/app
There is no installation files for download manually...
Is anybody can help me in this, please?
Regards!

If you don't want to store them on your phone, use opera and access googles webmail... it has a mobile version as well...

stands for Internet Message Access Protocol. It is a method of accessing electronic mail or bulletin board messages that are kept on a (possibly shared) mail server. In other words, it permits a "client" email program to access remote message stores as if they were local. For example, email stored on an IMAP server can be manipulated from a desktop computer at home, a workstation at the office, and a notebook computer while traveling, without the need to transfer messages or files back and forth between these computers.
IMAP's ability to access messages (both new and saved) from more than one computer has become extremely important as reliance on electronic messaging and use of multiple computers increase, but this functionality cannot be taken for granted: the widely used Post Office Protocol (POP) works best when one has only a single computer, since it was designed to support "offline" message access, wherein messages are downloaded and then deleted from the mail server. This mode of access is not compatible with access from multiple computers since it tends to sprinkle messages across all of the computers used for mail access. Thus, unless all of those machines share a common file system, the offline mode of access that POP was designed to support effectively ties the user to one computer for message storage and manipulation. more...

I am getting an issue similar to yours where I go to m.google.com/mail/ and click "install", and it says there's no app that can open gmail.jad. On my old phone, it downloaded and installed it so I dunno what's up with this. eBuddy's online client for the Diamond and OperaMini both do the same things as well.
I'm on the Sprint version.
I have had the gmail app working for a while on my motoA3100 wm6.1 fone but suddenly it has ceased to remember the email settings after exiting ...I uninstalled, downloaded the recent minor version update, and still no luck ...what to do? ...corrupt settings database file somewhere that needs deletion?
For Windows Mobile, wm6 wm6.5
A single .exe ftp server for PPC. Easily transfer/dele files/folders via WIFI into your PPC.
Just setup Admin/anonymous account and root path in Option manu, then ready to go.
1,connect your PPC to you home WIFI router (or any other TCP/IP connections), run the program.
2,Program will show your phone's IP (like ftp//192.168.1.5)
3,You can use windows explorer, or any ftp client to upload and download files to your mobile phone.
copy files with Wife, it can easily reach the top SD card writing speed.this program also can be a gate to achieve remote->PPC, and PPC->PPC file management, or Internet File sharing, blah blah blah
It was in Chinese and I just translate it. Enjoy!
This is cool.
Thanks...

lol!
I recently got pulled up for recommending one of my apps, WifeNoStandby.
actually this FTP server is great. It handles multiple ips no problem.
I am including support for this in my StatusTicker app's menu.
I wonder if there is a link for the original developer?
That would be cool.
Thanks!
Nice, I have been getting pretty sick of having to plug into my computer just to upload a new file here and there. Unfortunately I don't have bluetooth on my computer and don't feel like buying an adapter that could easily break off. This worked perfectly!
Great share, thanks mate!

Hello,
When I connect my Desire to WiFi, is there a possibility to copy files from my desktop (Ubuntu) to the Phone and visa versa?
I have found the answer on my own question.
But, if you are looking for the same, go to Google Market and search for 'swiftp'.
This works great!
This is better:

I use the ES file explorer.
As a lighter application after trying out Swiftp I can recommend it. A little harder for me to figure out how to set up, but very usable.
I am looking for a Citrix ICA client for my EVO to allow me to log into our Citrix server at work. I've checked the Citrix downloads and am finding something called a Citrix Receiver for android, but am not sure if that's what I need. I was thinking I need to find a Citrix ICA for android. Anyone have experience using their EVO to connect via Citrix? Appreciate any help or direction. Thanks much.
It's in the Market, do a search for citrix. Works very well.

Citrix Receiver is what you want and it works better than even the WinMo version IMO

Doesn't work for me.
Time for a little thread resurrection.
I've downloaded the Citrix Receiver app from the market which allows me to log into our remote acres website just fine. What it won't do is allow me to open any of the applications.
On my Win7 PC, after logging in and clicking on the app I want to run, IE asks me to save/run a file called citrix.ica (or something.ica). Irrespective of what it's called my PC runs a file that my Android devices don't.
Is this the standard process for accessing Citrix-based apps (ie: do others need to run this file as well before anything will launch) or does my organisation have the extra complication for no other reason than inefficient implementation of Citrix?
Anyone know any file sharing site or app expect 4Shared (Was working fine now I can't see anything after I upload my files) or drop box ? Thanks in advance.
I am using ICS Ressurection Pro v1 Gs2

Tried Box but it have cap of 100Mb
Any trick how to upload Files from Stock browser ?
Try dropbox, files uploaded via desktop have no limit, files uploaded via the website have a 300MB limit
Use the following link to receive and additional 250MB storage space (once you install the desktop client) free on top of the 2GB you'll get anyway
http://db.tt/ROIQZh
If you use ubuntu, try ubuntu one it offers 5 Gb for free.
Check Sugarsync. It is even more feature-rich than Dropbox. and it's android client has a real sync option. it can sync your selected files in background just like PC clients. so there is no need to download your files everytime you need them.Dropbox client is running all the time in background but it doesn't sync anything. just consume battery and cpu juice for nothing.
If you dont need the auto sync ability, i suggest one of box,Drop Box or Sugarsync. All these three is supported by "ES file Explorer". which lets you manage them just as easy as any local storage on your handset. and you wont need any power consumer client.
I myself use sugarsync for it's nice client, and BOX on ES for its huge free 50GB storage.
