I got a question for anybody that has had this problem. I got a refurbish Inc. from Verizon, and first it does not run as fast as my first one. It can not be clock over 1300. My old Inc. could be over clock at 1500. 2nd with my new phone it would not let my flash certain Roms like (redemption,cm6, and so fourth). It would let me flash (Skyraider, ruby, Frankenrom) with know problems. I know all phones are not alike, but its bothering me with my old phone I could put any Rom and it would work. Any idea whats going on.
Ok i'm guessing you mean 1.15ghz and 1.113ghz, that a limitation of the phone, mine can only be stable up to 1.113.
Now with the rom flashing problem, what do you mean by you can not flash it? What is happening when you try to flash those roms that you mentioned?
Well it loads the Roms it goes thru it thing and when it comes to the splash it gets stuck their. I think when the Rom has a custom kernel, that's when I have the problem.

Ok so I'm still running into the same issue I had with kernels before. It seems like anything I want to flash onto my phone now causes a constant lock up at the red eye screen and then an infinite boot loop. I can't even get a different theme on there without running into this issue. I must have flashed my recovery image like 5 times today. I even just did a basic factory reset from the inside the regular settings menu and it caused this boot loop. Should I be worried at this point?
Ok so 51 views and not a single suggestion??? Come on XDA I'm sure someone knows something
You know I ran into something similar and just for the sake of not being frustrated I knew of one that liked me, liked my phone, liked my ROM. I just stuck with it. Plain ol' gave up trying the latest and greatest kernel. It will make your head blow up if you keep fighting it trust me. BTDT

I wasn't even doing kernels though, these were just themes.
I've had that happen too. It maybe that the themes were designed for a specific rom version and that is the problem. I has some that were the correct Rom name just a different version. I was on 3.2 and it was for 3.1. Don't know why but some phones are just finicky.
ps. I meant different phones not as type or model, but your's vs. mine. Something I found out when I started rooting my phone.
Maybe u have a bad nandroid
Hi guys,
I need your expertise and ultimately your help!
So i was running Lee droid for months, it was all good, did loads of flashing of roms without never any (massive) issues.
Last week, i decided i wanted to try gingerbread, so I flashed gingervilain and the kernel that went this it. I din't really like it, i missed sense too much so i decided to go back to Lee Droid.
I did a clean install after wiping everything as i've done dozens of times in the past. But ever since a problem has arisen.
Whenever I'm on call, when i move the phone away from my face, the screen doesn't turn on and I can't turn it on at all, even when i press on the power button. Which means i can't hang up. So if i call someone and end up on voicemail, I need to remove the battery to finish the call, and whenever I am on the phone with someone I have to ask the person to hang up as I have no control over the phone.
The phone is to be totally irresponsive.
I tried to re-install gingervillain and had the same problem. So I reverted again back to Lee's rom, from a clean install and the problem persists!!
Last night I tried to format the card and I installed snq's new kernel, but it still doesn't work.
I have no clue what's going on. Could it be a voltage issue???
I'm s-on by the way.
I'm seriously confused at what the fark could be going on!?
Anyone has any idea?
On Lee's rom forum, a poster told me to flash a RUU or WWE rom. But I don't really wanna do that for two reasons :
1. I'm not sure it will work since installing Lee's rom on a clean install didn't solve anything
2. I don't really wanna go through the hassle of rooting my phone again
Thanks!
Using an RUU is your best bet since no one knows wtf is going on. I would say to do that as well and I'm sure maybe a few others would. Yes, you would have to root again (not like it takes forever and not like you have to do anything other than plug your phone into your PC and run the unrevoked utility, seriously). That would be your best chance for fixing it. BTW, using an RUU would wipe everything out and start fresh so it probably would fix the issue.
If it doesn't... well, that's for another time.
u can try go into settings turn off senser
exit settings
then go back in settings again set the senser on again
I see more and more people having the deep sleep bug, rooted or not.
Wish I knew how to fix the damn thing! The only sure thing is that if the phone is at stock condition (rooted or not does not matter), it doesn't have the problem.
When I install some apps, it would start doing this!
Alright, I guess I don't have much choice then! I'll flash a ruu.
Thanks a lot fo your help guys
This boot looping issue is not like the normal ones (I have googled,as well as checked here...I am a noob, but know how to search)
I am running CWM v3.0.0.5
Energy ROM
And Aggressive Freedom (Was running More freedom prior, but still the same issue occured)
It does not matter which rom i am running ( have tried about 5 now)...after a few days my phone will lock up no matter what i am doing and then reboot, except it gets stuck in a boot loop...If I do a battery pull and fire it back up...no problem it boots up like nothing ever happened...and after a few days it will do it again so on and so forth. This has not always happened, it started occurring around 3 months ago. Can anyone help me as to rectify this issue?
Also when i flash a new rom i do a factory wipe/reset,run gruesome format all 3 times, clear cache,as well as dalvik cache..and THEN i will flash the rom over.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. its not a GIANT pain but it just wants to happen at odd times which sucks lol
Kernel
Have you tried installing a different kernel trough Recovery?
Edit: Sorry, didn't read your post carefully enough. Have you tried a stock kernel?
No i have not tried a stock kernel. Figured with aggressive/more freedom it would be a little more lenient on the battery life.
Look in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=708502
Since I don't own an EVO, I'm not sure if this is a good one. Try it at your own risk.
Do a search in the development section for a stock kernel also maybe download set CPU to try one of the governors sounds like phone does not like over clocking they all run a little different.

Thats the problem i was having also,my phone could'nt be overclocked over 113600 MHz or it would start locking up and giving me random reboots, try dropping your level.Ondemand profile works great with my phone, others seem to give me problems.
busted GPS receiver
My wife's Evo did the same thing and we spent a total of 6 hours at the [carrier] store trying to get them to replace it. The store is cement and cinder blocks so there is no GPS signal inside. The phone easily passes their "complete" diagnostic.
Finally, I became irate and pleaded the store manager to get in my car with me. Before we got out of the parking lot, the phone began rebooting.
Turns out, their "complete" diagnostic doesn't test the GPS receiver in any way. He knew this, but I had to point it out to him.
My phone is underclocked with the kernel i am running UNLESS the roms i use some how over clock them, SetCPU does not work for me. And my GPS is always turned off because i try to conserve the battery life.
I will go ahead and see if i run the stock kernel...or one that comes with the rom instead of using Aggressive or More freedom kernel and see how that one fairs out.
htc evo boot loop
i was using my htc evo fine today, it was on 2.3 ota when i rooted it with revolution, it was half way flashed to boost, it already had the NV items and the Nam files, on the front said boost mobile, after i rooted i put a Speedy Shift rom, to make it have the internet pass through like the shift, so today i decided to finish flashing it to boost, after i put the nv and nam files again, i restated the phone, and from there it just keep doin a endless reboot, i could only go in the hboot, i tryed the pc36img, Amon ra, Ruu, and rerooting with revolution but it doesnt read the phone on fastboot, any help?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53000989#post53000989 This is the thread that explains what i am going oon through. I tried all the possibilities, now i wish to know why these happens? No matter what ever ROM i try, no matter weather its stock or custom all i get is bootloop or the boot animation keeps showing up forever. Some rom heats up while struck on boot animation. I want to know why this happens. Is it because there are no enough space or something?? or due to some faulty installation? I tried a lot of ROMs. Even some ROMs like SJB which was working perfectly. I even tried updating the flashtool to the latest version. If my phone is bricked then i cant even use CWM right!! I am really confused, it cant be a hardware issue as it was working fine untill i flashed 4.1.b.1.13 FTF as instructed in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2521453 <- Xperience_CM10 ROM !!
:crying: All i need now is a way to some ROM! anything would be fine as long as i can make and receive calls.! _/\_
Hey, I'm new here and don't really understand much. I've got a Gio phone that's incredibly slow at times and sometimes I wish to just smash it. Unfortunately I don't have any money to buy a new phone so I guess I'm stuck with mine. I heard that custom roms can help in speeding up the phone and are generally better at everything since they are updated and not left to rot, like the stock versions. Problem is: I've read a few lines of some guides here and I don't understand how to do anything. With every custom rom, the developer assumes you already know how to do everything, and I don't blame them, but I have a stock rom and stock kernel and all that. Even if I want to install a new recovery apparently I can't, I read somewhere that it doesn't work with the stock kernel. So... Any help for this newb?
