From last firmware of P1000 i have extract all component for "Ready Hub" and it work very well on galaxy s.
From the P1000 firmware we can take important information and precompiled software for playng 1080p video and for hdmi output.
If the galaxy s is able to output to hdmi we just have a "Portable Google Tv"
Freakin nice.

i guess not out of the box but his point was just to use (port) some of the new software/apps/framework ...
Would be helpful to share the apks...
But I'll have a shot at extracting them myself
EDIT: First task, navigating their site to find it T_T
EDIT2: Found it and downloading, but will I be able to extract the firmware -_^
EDIT3: Extracting (well actually converting..) using the ruby script. But it's taking like forever.... been 2hrs already and its still going lol. I guess cause the factoryfs.rfs is ~300 megs!!!
I hope that Tab`s firmwares will help devs to make 435mb RAM visible for OS in Froyo.
It's strange, but JIT is disabled in this firmware... Just like in all previous ones (JH8, JHA, etc.).
This is so cool, awesome work dudes, lets have those APK's
No JIT yet? So strange.
I'm dying to try this FW on my Galaxy... just have to learn how to cook it up!
---
I got it.
I can see all the APK's and so. I'll try installing later... should I worry about the .odx file? (OK, I don't really remember the extension...)
Anyway, gonna backup everything.. just in case.
---
A simple install of Reader Hub didn't work. :/
open factoryfs.rfs
for open factoryfs.rfs in linux you can probe with this command:
mount -o loop factoryfs.rfs /some_dir
"Ready Hub work very well in galaxy s"
I hope for hdmi output and 1080p video playback on galaxy s.

OH!! good find! Seems SC-02B is the Japanese Galaxy S!?
http://memn0ck.com/blog/2010/08/nttdocomosamsunggalaxyssc02bwifi.html
It has flash too!!! (from the picture).
If anyone wants to request it...
http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000...41/samsung-mobile-firmware-queries-downloads/
Although I wouldn't be surprised if it spread soon via samfirmware etc...
(I might be jumping to conclusions here guys, zulu99 has got me excited ^_^)
EDIT: Although I found some specs which list 2.1 for SC-02B. Might be old though.
Docomo SC-02B roms have been Froyo since JH6 buid.
The newest build is JI2.
They get more updates than we do for I9000
Thats really weird... I know japan is close to korea but even samsung korea hasn't released any froyo firmwares yet (right?).
Japan gets more updates than the rest of the world (international i9000), thats crazy.
Richthofen: do you know if the roms are compatible though?

Means:
Increased memory, lag fix and other things will be developed by Samsung. But these two features, already supported by our processor, will be gifted to us by Samsung only on new devices that they are going to market next, unless we will extract them from Galaxy TAB by ourselves.
More or less.
The prospect of a Japanese Galaxy S (or at least, the firmware from one) excites me. With Galaxy on Docomo, and Desire on Softbank, perhaps we'll finally see Android-native input methods for Japanese that can be ported to other devices. Plus more developers from that area.

Samsung will work on memory and lag fix, but 1080p and HDMI only for new devices??
:/
A good thing Galaxy Tab is so close to Galaxy S.
(Leak photo)

As for SC-02B of Japan, the specifications are more different than international versions.
For docomo's FOMA plus area(UMTS800) frequency
The setting menu changes clause several for docomo.
There is no FM radio.
There is no MobileAP.
The application program of the career adds it. Game and digital book, etc.
The shutter tone of the camera cannot be erased.

So My friend has bought a Samsung galaxy Y pro. Does anything for Galaxy Y works for Y pro? Like custom roms, kernels etc... And If no... Why?
very good question.
afaik, the Y pro has quite different electronics.
but please report back Your findings on the issue , Sir.
source tree is different from SGY non-pro
I've heard that galaxy y-duos is basicly same with SGY. but I've never heard about galaxy y-pro compatibility with SGY. its a new device anyway.
afaik there are major differences hardwarilY
Well I don't know... Anyone?

Not really quite sure if others work, but it's because of the hardware constraints. Pro has keyboard while the other has none. So maybe there'll be incompatibilities.
But there's no harm to try right?
http://pic.youmobile.org/imgcdn/samsung_lol_eta_phones_list.jpg
What do you think how reliable is this source? According to this sheet we will get 5.0 in march to april.
Samsung has hell of a lot work to do. Because they have uncountable number of midrange devices.
S4 Mini, S5 Mini, Galaxy A3, A5, A7, E5, E7, Grand 2, Note 3 Neo to name a few.
But certainly S4 mini and s5 mini will get in 2nd quarter of this year. :good: Once S6 is launched world wide.
http://www.androidsilverprogram.com/2014/07/List-Of-Smartphones-Getting-Android-L-update.html
At the bottom of the page is a list including the S4 Mini as well.
Although I still haven't received the 4.4.2 update in my region yet
Hoping for good things though :fingers-crossed:
Waiting........
Yup. Been checking every month this year and I haven't seen anything promised later than April. So it's crunch time! Really hoping it'll happen soon, I'm terribly annoyed by the limitation apps have writing to the sd card in any location other than their own folder. You all think that this will be different in lollipop?
i hope we get the 5.1 version straight, because 5.0 has issues
I hope this update.
Otherwise, i choose another manufacturer after years with Samsung.
I gave up the S5 Mini after realizing that has problems such as low-quality recordings (sounds captured with mic) compared the S4 Mini and the camera gets to be lower.
If this update happen I stand with Samsung and I will try a S6 Mini . Otherwise i give up Samsung.

S5 mini is a horrible device. No custom roms, no dev support because it has no source code, uses poor chipset and is priced like it is the best phone ever.
No wonder the price of that phone came down by 130$ in India within 20days of its launch.
http://www.techradar.com/news/phone...l-5-0-release-date-when-can-i-get-it--1257804
Other Samsung handsets may have to wait a little longer, although we'd expect that most high profile devices released in the last 18 months to 2 years will get the update, including the Galaxy S4 Mini and the Galaxy S5 Mini.
Let's hope the first release hasnt got all the issues the S4 firmware has/had.
Guys can anyone tell me if the stock lollipop , incase it exists, will have sdcard issues? Do i have to use sdfix or foldermount again??

Yeah, i'm going to have to say that is backwards. Qualcomm is good for custom roms and mods while Exynos is the better performer.
Not Qualcomm's fault actually. Whichever phone US winds up getting will be harder to root because of the customary locked bootloaders US Telco overlords has decreed. I suspect in this case, as with the case of S7, is that Qualcomm's chip is harder to root because of the additional bootloader. Not because of the chipset. But I guess I shd have said if you aren't staying in the US, this doesn't apply. : )

So should I go for exynos variant of note 7 if I want a future Cyanogenmod build?
Enviado de meu SM-N920G usando Tapatalk
Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but either way, we don't get Cyanogen do we?
For Snapdragon the Bootloader is locked so the possibility of a custom Recovery and ROM are rather bleak to none, no? I mean what are the odds that another EngBoot leaks for the Note 7? And even with that, people seem to have had a nightmare after Rooting their phones? Plus no TWRP, yet, is there?
For Exynos the Bootloader is unlocked so that's great, however I hear that Samsung doesn't release the source to bake CM for those phones. I will take this option cause at least we could have stable Root and optimized TW ROMs for the phone like the S7 Edge?
Lastly, correct me if I am wrong again, but according to all benchmarks and video reviews isn't the Exynos battery and performance always better than SD? Except the SD GPU edges out?
You pretty much nailed it on all counts.
If you want Cyanogenmod, the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, and Note 7 are not the phones for you.
Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk
Can't you unlock the bootloader if the phone is payed off?
I payed off my S7 and called and had them unlock my bootloader on my phone. Won't that make it easier to root and install custom ROMs?
I'm asking because SP seems like the more likely candidate for Cyanogenmod. I also like Note 7 out of all the other android phones currently on the market. I'm a bit tempted on the Pixel XL, but the MicroSD and waterproof have it edging over the Pixel XL. I would like to think I could get the Note 7 from T-Mobile and then pay it off and when its payed off be able to install CM.
you will never have a working cm build for the note 7 or for any samsung phones for that matter..the only phone that had google experience was the galaxy s5
But doesn't S6 and before have CM builds? As well as the older notes?
What makes the Note 7 so much harder to eventually develop for?

All of them have some bugs but no where near what you have said. For the Galaxy S4 its been a while but checking their forum on here I see that they even have Android 6 builds. including CM13 which is kinda neat given its age. Most of the other things I have seen by searching. I used the S4 as my daily driver for the longest time. Though you are right that some of the threads I have found for the S6 say not a daily driver. I am a bit curious about why, and if that will ever be overcome. As in, in a year will there be builds for CM for the Note 7.
On that note what is the best phone or company for CM?

Your mileage may vary and do at your own risk. I bricked a Moto Z Force years ago with a GCAM mod. This one works so far and it's definitely better than the stock app inside. I haven't tried it outside during the day or night. On this page under Android 7.2 the second one Arnova has worked. https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-suggested/
I've only tried the specific beta listed there

YMMV. I think it would be great for others to post their photos, good or bad. Most objective reviewers put its camera system somewhat below the main players. I take photos for my enjoyment. You clearly have a more discriminating eye. Maybe that's because I've used Moto phones. There are many comparison videos on YouTube. Maybe that would be a good resource for you, but I don't know that any use a gcam mod.
So, Up ti now the best gcam for moto Edge plus Is the :
Gcam 7.3 Burial beta 7
You can find my config xml attached.
Main Lens work Luke a charm, really much Better than stock app. White balance, details, contrast,.etc...
Night mode Is a Major improvement respect to the stock app.
The Zoom and UltraWide camera they actually works but with some White dots appearing on all the photos taken.
If Someone knows how to solve, It would be Amazing
Thanks. I've only taken a few shots but it looks to be a little cleaner with less noise? What changes are you seeing compared to the default configuration?

Would your "burial beta" work on a unrooted "stock" moto edge 5G? Stock moto needs some work, and Ive "self imposed" a moratorium on rooting it for six months into the warranty.

I think most people on this page have the Edge plus so unless someone has both I'm not sure you're going to get a lot of feedback. I bricked a Z Force with a gcam mod so I guess there's always some risk. But this is running on an unrooted Edge+ for what it's worth.
The Xiaomi Note Pro config. file seems to work well on the Edge plus with the burial gcam.

Grazie a chi risponderà.
installerò GCam sul mio dispositivo.
So I don't know if this is really better or not but it seems more stable and faster. It also doesn't have as many of those white dots when you zoom in on a photo. YMMV. Nikita NGCAM 8.1. https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-Nikita/f/dl1/
I am using the middle option for the custom lib patcher (NR6...) as well as HDR+ enhanced frames 35, Google AWB off, 100% jpg.
It is no secret the a52s camera is decent at best mostly because of the poor Samsung camera processing and by using Gcam for example the photos are better in every way, Samsung expert raw seems to improve the photos even on the s21u and from what It is apparently running on the a72 so why can't I run it on the a52s even tho it has much better CPU/GPU ?!
