Screen Has No Reaction At All When I Touch It Help Please
System / Screen / Align - Proceed as smooth as possible to have a more responsive screen.
how do i get to that without having to touch the screen
Use windows button then the keyboard keys to navigate to the app or setting you want.
Of course, if the digitizer on your screen is stuffed, then it doesn't matter what you do. The lcd and digitizer (easier to replace both) will need to be replaced....
Coucou!
You said it is easy to replace both of them... Ok, it's quite easy to dismantle it, putting it into small and numerous pieces!
But there is a foam adhesive (correct word? Remember, I'm french.... Sorry... ) that glue the screen to the phone. How can you replace it???
I desperatly need advices, as my phone is currently in a basket!
Coucou !
Is there anybody out there?

Best regards from Belgrade and sorry for my English.
If the screen works, but doesn't respond to touches, only the touch screen is required.
Sorry but I have quite the same probleme, my Prophet is a little damaged at the right part of the screen (with pen, because of grab-and-scroll) and won't respond anymore. I'd like to change some parts, but in this case is it touch screen/lcd screen or both ?
Thanks for your help (Sorry for my english, I'm French)
Hi you guys, does anyone know if you disamble the artemis easy and replace the touch screen? ( i was mad and smashed it, i kind of regret it, i know i shoud get anger management !). The phone is working fine, since i can connect it to my pc, the only problem the screen is black!
any guys any ideas or experience?
thank you.
hi, depending on which part you have broken, will depend on how much it will cost. Its fairly easy to change tho. If you have a look in the Wiki there is a guide to repairing the Artemis.
There are two parts to the screen the 'touch' bit on top (digitiser) and the actual LCD screen. If it is just the touch bit that has broken, then you can get a replacement one for around £7 on eBay. If the LCD has broken (which i am guessing it has caus u said it is just a black screen) then you can get a digitiser and a LCD for around £30. It is easier to replace both, as it is just a unit which is stuck in with double sided tape. WARNING: the ribbon cable which plugs into the main board from the screen is VERY fragile!
Hope this helps
broken screen
there are two different screen modules available for the Artemis. They are NOT interchangeable. In one case touch-screen module and LCD screen are seperate and in the other case they are both integrated into one module.

your gonna have to open it like i did, and find out which screen!.. also the touch screen is replaceable but its a ***** to do.. just get the whole screen on ebay 40 usd lcd and touchscreen very simple plug and play
I've noticed scratch on my screen. and left side is not working(when i touch). so I have problems with turning on my phone cause i cant align screen.remote deskop is not working because i cant install it on my BA. what to do?
You will have to get a new touch screen , they are on ebay. i sugest getting the lcd and touch screen together (one unit) as its can be a pain to replace just the touch screen.

Imma poor little student I'll buy only touch screen, but for now I've solved that problem. I've removed welcome shortcut from start up and now Im using only buttons but it is really pain in the ass.
Hey People,
I had recently brought htc touch hd and simply loved it but i had been putting the same in my pocket without the cover leading to many scratches on the top touch screen. I am looking for a replacement but i really dont know, do i need to change the housing or is it the digitizer or the face plate..i am confused..
With my limited searching skills, if i look for housing, it shows the external body but not sure if its includes the top glass that is scratched. If i look for digitizer, it is the complete touch screen mechanism..does this need to be changed or their is the top glass/film which comes on top of this.. or is it called faceplate.. it would be real helpful if some can give me the link to this top glass/cover or film whatever it is called..
P.S :- My touch screen works absolutely fine and so is the display.

Have you searched on ebay, i always get all my PDA parts there...
As above
i know where to get them but i don't which part is it? Digitizer or Faceplate or Housing?
Hi,
I broke my screen glass and the touch-screen (digitizer?) works just fine, as well as the LCD panel.
I would like to (try to) replace the glass, but I am in a kind of the same dilema as you.
I think the digitizer is touch-receiver + GLASS (not just the thin film).
Can you (or anyone else) confirm this?
Thanks,
cheers,
Nenad

The part you want is the digitizer, that the part you touch with your stylus, the lcd screen sits underneath this, they are glued together and are hard to seperate, buying just the digitizer can lead to many problems, its better to buy an lcd screen and digitizer allready together then just replace the whole thing
I'm wondering, if anyone knows how to remove the Front assembly without cracking it. I got a cracked galaxy s 2, and i needed to do was fix it. So i replace the front assembly, but i didnt notice these white pads under the touch keys, so there are no back lighting behind the touch keys atm
Anyone know how to remove it safely? I got rid of the old cracked screen simply by prying it off, and i dont think it was something i'd like to do again since it can quite well just damage my new screen.

There is a sticky on how to replace the screen. Its the 1st thread in this forum.
Unless you are speaking about removing the actual glass from the housing. This thread would help you.
Btw I mispressed "thanks" soo free rep for you.
This is the screen from the front assembly itself. My lcd came with the LCD only, i had to attach it to the housing, as in i had to pry off the old screen and put on the new screen, so i had to take off everything including the touch keys.
