Quite a few setting screen have white font on black background. I really hate this Is there a way too change this? For example to black on font on light background?
I run EVIO rom 1.2 and netarchy cfs kernel 4.1.8
the bootscreen. do a search on how to change it, there are a few applications that'll do it for ya.
Thanks for the hint. I searched the forUm and web, but could only find apps that change the boot animation. What I want is to change the colors in the settings screen (where you configure for example bluetooth or wireless settings).

No, I am talking about the settings screen where you can disable wireless, bluetooth, pin code etc. (menu-> settings). I would like to change the color (currently black).
Apparently this seems to be more difficult than rooting 2.2

if you can find a stock deodexed ROM you could replace the framework from that one and push it into your new one using ninjamorph, did you try pusing a blank widget.txt to see what that does? otherwise you would have to find one that has all of that removed, plus any theme etc your trying to run updates the framework.apk so your kinda stuck i think

Well can you atleast give me a power control that doesn't have 4g on it? (There is a bug in the 4g one it keeps scanning)

There are instructions on how to customize these in the Power Control Widgets thread.
if your issue is that you dont want it to have 4g you can easily modify the widget.txt file and change it up there are a lot of options. If you are trying to remove it You may look int he EVIO rom thread Calk has a flashable zip to remove it from EVIO. it should work for any rom in theory since Evio isnt themed and neither is SL it shoudlnt effect much else. i would nandroid just in case though.
I'm trying to adjust the color of my Evo. My wife has an epic and side by side her screen looks arguably better. Now before you start to tell me about the properties of a samled screen ...lol I just want to be able to adjust the color a little more. Looked and can't find anything.

There might be something other than this (probably is), but the renderfx app on CM has a couple different settings.
Yup, there is an app brought over from the nexus one that will let you do this but the thread got buried awhile back.

I think it takes some file edits to redirect where the lockscreens get their notifications.

Zanders right.. its been brought up before I think. Id really like to see this done. I an use widget locker with adw notifier and it gives me an unread count.. but I wanna use the stock puzzle or epic lock because it has a lock delay function that makes it easier for me to recover from an accidental idle screen off.

I am currently running ParanoidKANGdroid 1.40 and while I was playing with the ParanoidAndroid settings I somehow negated the cool dual-panel settings dialog. Now my settings show up in one list just like usual. Anyone have experience with how to fix this?
Also, I have seen a couple topics trying to catalog convenient per-app settings for PA, but none of them really made it very far. Anything in that front?

I've done that before when i lowered the screen density. If you lowered it put it back to 320 and it should go back to dual panel.
Unless one of the apps you adjusted the PA settings was for settings itself. If that's the case make sure you revert it back to default

Finally got the wife to move over from the dark side, iPhone, to Android! It's the little things in life... Anyways, of course she wants it all pretty like the iPhone, so I've been trying to help her customize it pretty good. In the stock messaging app, you can change the theme. But, is there any way to change the color of the bar at the very top that says "Messages"? It stays blue!

I believe not yet . . I know there's a lot of people requesting the option to change the colours to their own but nothing yet . . I'm sure rooting would allow it some way but I've yet to take the plunge of rooting my M8

Thanks for the responses. Now we're having issues with the TV app. I was able to set mine up just fine. On hers, when she get to the screen where it asks for your favorite TV shows, then hits next, we get an error message... Something about not being able to retrieve the data from the server.. I've tried everything.. uninstalling the update, which just updates when you open the app, clearing the app data/cache, etc. Any ideas on this one?
