I'm trying to install the modified flash player to get Hulu working. The uninstall options are grayed out via the phones application manager. I don't have root explorer or a similar app to uninstall the current version so I was hoping to use the Terminal Emulator I have installed.
can somebody provide the ADB commands to uninstall the Flash Player using the Terminal Emulator app i have on my phone?
thanks in advance.

Is there anyway install apps and run apps via computer??
or flash the recovery via the computer??
you can install apps with android market website which remotely installs them. There is some software that lets you view your phones screen on your pc but I cant remember the name, maybe that will help you.
And if you mean clockwork recovery then no, but if your meaning can you recover your phone to its original condition via the pc then yes you can using RSD lite

You can install an app you have the apk.
To install, enable USB Debuging on the phone and open a Windows prompt and type:
Code:
adb install yourfile.apk
To open an app (actually you can open an activity). Just type:
Code:
adb shell am start -n com.mypackage.myapp/com.mypackage.myapp.myview.MYACTIVITY
To find out the activities, open see the logcat.
i want to install some market .apk apps on my pc
this is IMPOSSIBLE.
The apps might have a special version that is available for pc
Its possible via BlueStacks App Player ...check out
www.bluestacks.com.

nope...you could use youwave (an android emulator on PC) or use emulator from android-sdk to run the application. to install it on your emulator you may use command "adb install <package name>". you may also install an *apk files to your SGY from any pc by using same command. but make sure you've installed SGY's driver and adb program.
I've tried emulators before but they ran too slowly for me and honestly just too complicated to setup. Tried BlueStacks just now and it's working fine. I can't seem to sync my games though. I took screenshots of it running the xda app.

Does anyone know how to fix this stuttering the OUYA does when playing video stream?
I have the latest firmware and "XBMC for OUYA" but video streams are still doing this for a while when starting to play and then randomly during the movie. Thanks for any reply.
The problem is not with xbmc but a firmware bug made in the 24th July update.
There is no fix unless you are rooted.
It has been raised with the ouya team but it doesn't seem a priority to them.
If rooted how i can fix that problem?

Please post results if it works for you.
Thanks guys! This appears to have worked. And if it did it appears to have worked like a charm.
Here's what I did:
I've been using apk extractor to install apks on to my rooted ouya.
I used a APK extractor to extract Android terminal emulator and put it on my network share with my phone.
Then using es file explorer on my new ouya grabbed the Android terminal emulator apk off my network share and installed it.
I open the emulator on my ouya and gave superuser access then type "su" and enter key.
Then the command:
echo 32768 > /proc/sys/vm/min_free_kbytes
I have been using the YouTube plugin on XBMC with the highest video quality setting to test.
Thanks again for the reply and I hope this help somebody out.

thanks for the instructions made it very easy to do. I can finally watch video addons from xbmc and transfer files through ftp without the ouya locking up.
I can't seem to get this done. I tried using Android Terminal Emulator on OUYA but I can't type anything. I also use a command window and use adb to sideload apps. Can I use this method to enter this command into OUYA? I tried but it says The system cannot find the path specified. How do I do this?
sorry for the late reply but for anyone else coming across this thread

you type the command into terminal emulator that is running on your ouya
I keep a plain USB cord keyboard handy, i turn off the ouya, then unplug it from the back, plug in the keyboard, then fire everything back up.
when it's back on launch terminal emulator or install if you haven't and you should be able to use the keyboard you have plugged in to type the command into terminal emulator.
Does this still work?

idea popped into my head just now, has anyone tried it? i dont know exactly how the exploit works or anything but would it be worth trying?
Try it and report back
Am I missing something here? adb install tr.apk is how people have rooted.. aka as sideloading.
Lol, how do you think everyone's been rooting?!?

Sideloading is super easy after installing Terminal Emulator and a web browser.
You can use the terminal app to perform all of the same ADB functions as you would from a PC,but you have to use the PC once more to install the Terminal app and a browser.
Somebody needs to pin that original topic that tells you how to do it,as it helped me greatly on sideloading any of the apps I wanted in mere seconds by downloading the apk through a sideloaded browser and installing it via ADB function on the sideloaded Terminal App.
am i able to uninstall and reinstall magisk w/o a computer? i am currently away from my computer and unable to access an app that i need to, but im rooted with magisk and lsposed (currently disabled) would i be able to uninstall magisk and then just reinstall it via APK download after i log in and check the app?
ps for whatever reason this app evades every type of rootdetection blocking i can find so the only way i know of is to uninstall and just reinstall once im done with the app

If you have another phone there is a adb and fastboot magisk module that could maybe help with the other device acting as the computer.
Also in the past when taking an update long as the original boot was in place when installing magisk, I could hit uninstall which would put the original boot back allowing the update. Afterwards before rebooting I would go back in magisk and install then reboot. You can find more info here on XDA.
