Newbie Question: Can I just remove the Sprint apk file I don't want from \System\App folder using Root Explorer or would this cause the phone to error out? If this is not the correct way let me know right way to remove unwanted sprint apps. Thanks.
Try using titanium backup from the market, worked for me.

if you're curious about which you can remove, check out this thread

So from what everyone is saying I'm assuming just removing the apk files should do the trick.

For instance, I install a ROM that includes an app which I TOTALLY don't want, but will not let me uninstall through app manager, or even an app on the rooted stock version if I didn't want to use a custom ROM.... is there some sort of combination of Superuser Permissions and another app? I thought I remember reading something about a file explorer w/SU that lets you do that, but I can't find the post. =[
Use Titanium Backup, can uninstall pretty much anything

Faaaaaaantastic! TiB worked like a charm =] Cheers mate!
Also, the explorer you were referring to is called root explorer. That works great. I used it to go into /system/apps and rename all the Sprint crap to .bak at the end of the file type, and they no longer run or show in app drawer. But they're not deleted, in case you ever need them back.
Download Titanium Backup, go to setting and enable "Chuck Norris" mode, and you are good to go. Definitely check out the safe to delete thread and don't uninstall anything that has to do with Google Talk. It will screw up your market downloads.
Title says it all. I heard of a few ROMs not having it and just wanted to see what I would have to do to give it the boot
It, like other apps can be removed if you have Root. If you have S-OFF, you can use Root Explorer to delete, or better yet, move the apps you don't want to a storage directory.
There are a number of threads on how to do this.
Thanks. Just wasn't sure if it could be removed without complications. I'm on a deodexed rom. Is it just the .apk to remove?

Hi,
This might be a quick one.
I removed Doc2Go from the system partition using root explorer.
I however want it back now and have a updated version. Now the problem is everytime I install, I have a question asking whether I want to overwrite the previous installation (which was already removed), I then get the following message "Application not installed".
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks.
Try uninstalling it on titanium backup and than reboot

Thanks. Tried it, but still the same thing. Do I need to manually edit the package.xml file?
So for the past few weeks I have not been able to get titanium to update, I went to uninstall and it fails to uninstall. Anyone with any ideas? I know I could wipe but my last backup I was already having titanium problems, and it's not worth starting from scrach for one program. Maybe someone knows how to delete manually could help me out that way? I am using the donate ver. Thanks for whatever info you guys can lay on me.
Oddly, my Titanium has had a problem a few times, lately, where it won't do a back up or restore. You select one or the other, and it just switches to the list of apps.
I noticed that clearing data in Application Manager seems to fix the problem, but I hope the dev for this app figures out a fix soon.
Anyhow, you can remove it via Root Explorer, reboot, then reinstall it.
Uninstalling it will not remove your backups.
I was going to remove with rootexplore but what files do I need to delete and keep?

Don't forget trying to update busy box. That has solved a few titanium problems for me in the past.

It should be in /system/app/
or do a search for titanium and remove whatever comes up
Thanks for the help guys. I did try updating busybox, that didn't fix it.
I deleted files in the app folder, that didn't help. Then i used the search in root explorer deleted only files that were not on my SD card. Re-booted, installed titanium (install worked this time) went to market and was able to download and update. So all is good. Thanks again guys!
Meaning, which files do I need to delete in order to uninstall Superuser.apk? I know I could go under menu>settings>manage apps, then uninstall it from there, but I just want to be sure that whatever way I uninstall it, that it gets rid of all the files associated with it. Thanks so much for your time...

Depends on how it was installed. The apk comes pre-installed on most ROM's in the system/app folder.
