Can anyone help please? Just purchased an MSI BGP-100 Bluetooth Gamepad for my HTC Desire, trying to install drivers but the driver CD doesn't have the option to install on the Desire, the only HTC device it has the option for is the HTC Magician.
Tried connecting direct to my Desire, the Bluetooth picks up the gamepad but when you try to connect it only says " Paired but not connected".
Anyone know how I can get this to work?? I have tried looking online but only get hits for the HTC HD2 and this gamepad.
Thanks!
+1 looking for a solution too
after a while some fellows found a way for winmo making the bgp100 work... mobile gear might get pretty close to it but again it might be htc offering the problems:

Same thing as with the Bluetooth keyboards, or WII BT controllers.
HTC Sense roms have no Bluetooth HID support. So all of these won't work.
On a sidenote, try installing CyanogenMod6 or OpenDesire (both have BT HID support). These might work.
FYI - the BGP100 does not use HID. It uses SPP (serial port protocol) and has a custom communication protocol based on 2-byte packets. I plan on adding support for the BGP100 and Zeemote to my Android games .

First of all: For about a year, the keyboard was working fine, using thinkoutside 4.52 official driver. Then I got a nice gift: logitech V470 BT laser mouse. Then the hell begun. How in the world connect it to the PDA?
Someone on this forum claimed that V470 works on HTC Athena out-of-the-box, using included in wm6/wm6.1 bluetooth hid stack. For some reason, after I pair the mouse and check input device in BT services list - nothing happens. I tried:
- uninstalling ThinkOutsde driver - the even keyboard stopped working, even thi I paired it and checked input device,
- bluemouse/ blueinput - it says BT on, mouse off. On their site I read it's probably due to incompatible BT stack. No chances of telling what BT stack is installed on PPC... :/
- using hacked version of stowaway keyboard/mouse driver. I got "keyboard not working / please reinstall stowawayxt.dll" error. I checked - hacked one has 162kB, the one from 4.52 - 59kB and is signed, while hacked one is not. WTF?
- I know, that stowaway disables built-in HID, but even when I'm enabling it again, nothing is happening.
- Deep search on google on v470, bluetooth hid, bluetooth at all on PDAs, bt stacks and such revealed nothing. Please, help!

Hello Vartharian, did you ever have any luck getting the Bluetooth mouse to work? I too am trying to find a solution, but I lack the hacked thinkoutside files to work from.
If you have one I can take a look and see if I can reverse engineer a fix.
Thanks,
Peter

Some kind of BlueTek (or something) drivers for WinMo to enable BT mouse use. Found them in some download somewhere in the tubes, look for "BlueMouse driver" or something. Installs driver and settings panel. Hope this helps. Maybe then you could get some sweet Quake action going.
Hey guys in my searches i have found this little app. Theres an unlimited free trial available. it let's you connect any bluetooth mouse to your wm device. great app and would love to use a mouse in conjuction with my igo keyboard. I have tried pairing the mouse however it does not complete pairing and the mouse continues to sit in pairing mode. I have tried three seperate mice (logitech, targus and microsoft) If anyone is willing to give it a go and let me know how they go would be great.
Hopefully it will work for you.

I used a Logitech V70 following the instructions on the site and it worked as advertised. I've also paired it with my Logitech diNovo Mini although not at the same time.
edit: Actually I installed the cab, turned on the radio, initiated a device search, then I turned on the V70 and pressed the connect button on the bottom. No password was required, I just clicked Next as soon as the mouse was recognized. I think this is a little bit different than the order specified on the website.
i'm encountering two main problems.
1) the Teksoft software is not recognising the bluetooth is on. I'm using the radio rom that comes with dutty's v1.7.
2) after I pair the mouse (with a blank password) it remains in discovery mode.
Just a bit of extra information i'm using the ig keyboard and have the igo software installed not sure if that could be causing problems. Also having read other forums the mouse i was trying to use was the microsoft 5000 and one of the guys had this working perfectly which leads me to believe its my phone.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Bluetooth stack on HTC HD2
Hi All,
I just got th HTC HD2 and I also run into difficulties connecting a bluetooth mouse. Looks like the problem lies in the Bluetooth stack.
I'm using a iGo/Thinkoutside stowaway bluetooth mouse and keyboard. The software (latest version from 2007) does not recognise that Bluetooth is on.
The keyboard is recognised as a standard HID device and works without any additional software.
I tried the Teksoftco Blueinput software and got the same problem that the software does not recognise that Bluetooth is on. Probably it only works with the MS bluetooth stack and not the one on HTC HD2 (TP2, HD, ...?).
I can connect to a bluetooth mouse but the HD2 can't find any services to use.
Anyway, If anybode has a solution please post but my hopes are verly low... :-(
Maybe a wired mouse via USB host on the car cradle will work...

Did you have any luck registering, I'm running into the same thing?
No drivers on the cd.
The software doesn't work on my Touch HD
I tried the V 1.5RC4 but it always displays: "The BlueInput driver is not responding. You need to reinstall this software."
Is it possibly, that I have a altered bluetooth stack with my ROM (Energy)?
Would appreciate any help to get this to work!

I had exactly the same problem in my Touch HD with Energy ROM and found the solution. Our problem is because the bluetooth HID libraries are missing in the Energy ROM. Thus, first, you need to restore them by using TRV_Bth_HID.cab attached. Restart. Then, you need to pair your mouse and to ensure, that the service "input device" has appeared and marked in the bluetooth manager. Restart with the turned on bluetooth and the mouse connected. Only after these steps, you can install V1.5RC4. Note, that V1.5RC4 overwrites the library \Windows\bthhid.dll, which was in TRV_Bth_HID.cab. As a result, after V1.5RC4 installation, your mouse will be seen as "disconnected" in the bluetooth manager - this is normal. But, if you need to install new device, you will have to repeat all steps above.

Hi all, I currently have an out of contract Tytn II and am looking to upgrade to a Touch Pro 2 soon. I notice that the bluetooth stack appears to have changed and I wondered if anyone knows whether the bluetooth gamepad will work with it? I tried without success to make my gamepad work with my Tytn II and had the same problem with my old Wizard in that it refused to connect. Installing the Widcomm stack on my Wizard made it connect but I have my Tytn II by then. Does anyone know if it works with this new stack? Cheers.

The new stack on the Rhodium is a Widcomm stack, no idea if it works with the gamepad though, but can gaurantee that if it doesn't now, it will be able to in the future. I thought the Wizard had a Widcomm stack by default too........
Cheers,
Beasty
is the bluetooth stack from Broadcom or Widcomm?
gamepad
i heard the gamepad would work with magician. i did some testing with my ralph and got the gamepad to scroll around my menus but my games would not render after installing gamepad drivers. (pocketnester and pac-man) couldnt say why however. with my tp2 i have had very little luck. (i was able to setup a serial port but that was it)

What is magician? Also, on your TP2 do you know what bluetooth stack you are using? and do you run Win Mo 6.1 or 6.5.x?
I used to use MobileRemote by MobileSRC.com with my touch pro and it worked great as an easy to use keyboard/mouse combo for my Home Theater PC.
I have been trying to get it to work on the TP2 though and finally I decided to search a bit and found a post on the MobileRemote forums saying that it will not work at all on the TP2 due to the changed BlueTooth Stack (Widcomm) that is included by default on the TP2.
(I believe this is the same thing that causes some issues with TomTom, but that's a different topic)
I was just curious if anyone can recommend a similar program, where I can use my TP2 as the keyboard and a trackpad or an air mouse for a windows PC? If anyone has tested them out and know what works with the TP2 please let me know. Thanks!
there are a couple out there but you have to install a software on the PC and on your device for them to work.
The beauty about MobileRemote is that you don't need to do that so the computer automaticly senses it as a bluetooth keyboard/mouse.
I was also upset that it doesn't work with the Widcomm BT Stack because now i can't use it with my PS3 and it was the only option.
My solution would be to get the MS BT Stack ported over to the Rhodium because the Widcomm stack has caused other issues for me on top of this one.
Hey everybody
I searched forever and didn't find anything. My problem is a Cognex DataMan 7550 (barcode scanner) which establishes a Bluetooth connection to its base station. I want to bypass that and just get it connected to my htc hd2. I talked to the guys from Cognex tech support and they gave me a step by step installation for Windows xp (using a Dell notebook with Bluetooth) and it works there to pair it. However, if I try it on the htc, I can't connect because I have to put in a key to pair (on Windows I don't). Has anyone an idea how to establish a bluetooth connection on the hd2 without a key?
Thanks a lot!
The Name of the Device on Bluetooth is Taiyo SPP which I guess refers to the manufacturer of the bluetooth antenna and the profile.
Finally gave up. Nobody seems to have an idea on how to connect a bt 2.0 device with no pin to a bt 2.1 device on wm 6.5.
