[Q] Sd Card Notification Sound - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

There is a setting for Sd Card Notification Sound, this should play a sound when you connect your phone to the computer, it worked with 21. but does not seem to work with 2.2 OTA. Anybody else notice this?

Yes, I have noticed it. It no longer works on my Incredible with 2.2

SD card vanishes while playing music with headphones :-(

Hi!
I have a strange problem with my new Touch Pro 2. It happens in the following situation:
1.) Playing music via the Touch Flo Music Tab with headphones inserted.
2.) While the music is still playing I switch off the display via the ON/OFF button.
3.) Problem: The music continues for 5-45 seconds, then it stops shortly, maybe it comes again for a few seconds, then it finally stops.
4.) When I switch on the display again, the SD card is gone. I cannot further play the song and in the settings menue I see the message "the sd card is not installed".
5.) Restarting the device brings back the SD card. (Problem can be reproduced by the steps 1-3.)
No further complaints with the SD card. Hardreset did not help. It does not happen when I use the Windows Media Player in the above setting. If I do not use the headphones, then this problem does not happen. With the TP2 the music does not continue via speakers, when you switch off the display, but when I switch on the display again, the card is still there in this scenario. Problem only occurrs with headphones inserted. So far I found no other TP2 user sharing the same problem :-(

[Q] music playing problem

I have been using Desire's mp3 player to play songs which I saved on the stock 4g card that came with the phone and just the first day of using my phone, I came across a few problems.
1. While listening to a track, the song stops playing out of nowhere.
2. When I connect the phone to PC via USB cable, sometimes, Desire screen will say "SD card unavailable because it is being used as USB stoorage. Disconnect USB to access SD card" - but funny thing is a thing will pop up on my computer screen prompting me to open the SD card folder and the folder is openable. And after I unplug the USB cable, all songs from my one playlist is GONE.
3. After I uploaded songs to the SD card, I can only find some uploaded songs in Desire while some disappeared, but when I check the files under "MP3 folder" after connecting the phone to my PC, the "disappeared" songs are there!
I try a couple things like unplugging at Charge only before disconnecting phone from my computer; turning off the phone, taking out the battery and re-inserting the SD card before turning on the phone again; re-format the SD card - but none solve above problems.
I have this Desire for only about 4 days, can someone tell me if this is a SD card or phone problem?

RHOD100 with XDAndroid Gingerbread issue

I currently have Gingerbread running on my HTC Touch Pro 2 (RHOD100). I simply copied the contents of GBX0A (March 11, 2011) in "andboot" folder of my SD card. The startup takes a while (about 20 minutes), but Android boots up fine. The issues I'm facing:
1. SD card is not detected by android. Neither the Music player not MVideoPlayer detect the SD card, but Import Contacts app did. Big issue for me, since now I can't play my music files, or store anything on the SD card.
2. The speaker volume is really low, even on full. I need to hold it somewhat close to my ear to hear it. I want to be able to leave it at the desk while talking or playing music.
Can someone help me out with this? Is there a fix or do I need to correct some file?
Thanks.
bump!
Anyone?

Headphones issue while playing music

So I've searched around for an answer but haven't found anything, so here goes....
I have a stock S3 and when I'm playing music on my phone (stored on the external card) and using headphones plugged in, as soon as the screen turns off, the sound comes through the speaker. I've tried 2 different music apps and they both did it, along with trying 2 different sets of headphones. I have the 2X Battery Saver, which I disabled and tried again with the same result. If I'm listening to Pandora, it doesn't do this, so I'm guessing it's something with the music being on the card? Any direction would be helpful, thanks.

If you have stock and an unrooted, unmodified rom on than this should be app related. Are you using the default samsung music app? Also what version are you running (4.0.4 or 4.1.x) Here are some things to try:
1. go to settings->sound and try to look for settings that may be causing this
2. got to settings->security and try to look for settings that may be causing this
3. go to settings->apps and find your music apps and press clear data on it. Then reboot and try again.
4. I did find a chat room with issues you described. The one suggested solution was this "Unplug your headset, start the music and then plug the headset in, it should reset for you correctly. Could not tell you why that's what I had to do." (Don't know if it works since I cannot test it)
If I have helped, please slap that thanks button
