thanks
Depends. If you like the look and feel of AOSP, go look at OMGB. It's stock Gingerbread. If you like AOSP but want more customization, CM7 or OMFGB. They are both AOSP Gingerbread but both have their own sets of customization options. On the other hand, if you like Sense UI, the Stock Sense 2.0 ROM is good for a good stock look, and it has Sense 2.0 instead of 1.0. If you like themes and mods, Warm Z is becoming good at that, with add-ons that you can flash to change the look. SkyRaider 4.0 is the best Sense ROM that has a ton of customization built in. If you want MODs on the fly with Sense, SR4 is for you. All the other ones based off stock Incredible Sense 1.0 framework are good, but if you are looking more for speed, the Sense 2.0 ones are the best at that. I run CM7 because I like customization and AOSP Gingerbread. I run invisiblek's kernel usually because they play the best with my phone and battery. I'm also trying out the HAVS MOD right now, but I wouldn't unless you know what you're doing. Hope this helped. I'll post the links to all the ROMs I mentioned below.

I personally have an affinity for I CM7 . I more or less was doing what you are describing except with ROMS, Kernels, and Radios all at the same time ( damn new bricked my phone on a few lol ) . So far CM7 has been the most stable for me and has been the most "friendly" to use. However, what you are asking is hard to answer. It's like "What is my favorite food?" . You know that better than we will . In the end, just pick something that has everything you need and just leave it alone lol
AOSP roms: CM7, OM(F)GB, Salvage Mod. I love CM7, and Salvage looks promising too. Never really used OM(F)GB
Sense: Skyraider 4 suits me best, but I like Warm Z and Incredibly Re-Engineered (Z and Evo) too.
OMGB 112
I've flashed numerous roms, but have found that
OMGB 112 revolutionized my Incredible. With Chad's kernel,
it gets decent battery life and is fast fast fast. No issues
of any kind. If you're tired of the stock look, backup your
stuff and then flash OMGB. Use Clockwork 3008 and wipe
everything twice. After it boots up, power down and do a factory
re-set in Recovery. Now your Incredible is Really Incredible.
I like CM7 (nightlies) and IncRom, personally. CM7 has such a great community, and I found myself using adw launcher with sense, so I actually prefer the look of it to sense (I hate that you are stucj with 7 screens. I like to run 2-3, depending on my setup). The only downside is no 720 video, which is why I have a nandroid of incrom. In addition, IncRom has the most appealing and finished looking theme of any ROM I have tried.
Back in the day with WinMo I loved MightyROM because he made an awesome ROM but mostly left the look and feel of stock. He didn't mess with a ton of stuff just because he could and I always appreciated that because it was rock stable. I rely heavily on my phone for business, it must be stable for all the things I use it for. I see the new "official" leak for Gingerbread and I want to give it a shot but I see these other ROMs that are now popping up thanks to the leaked kernel/libraries/whatever. They have higher versions of Sense (which I rely heavily on) and it makes me debate should I jump past the leak? So my question is this:
Which ROM past the modified Sense 1.0 in the official leak retains the most stability combined with new Sense updates? Even though 3.0 is available I'd be happy with the 2.1 that my wife is now rocking on her EVO Shift via another official leak. Which of these is a proper port from a phone with almost identical hardware, etc., so I know it's going to work flawlessly?
Skyrader is a sense ROM with lots of cool stuff from CM7.
Uber stable to.
I second the SkyRaider nomination. His ROMs have always been stable in my experiences. SR 2.5.2 (I believe it was that version?) was the first ROM I actually ever flashed lol.

I agree Skyraider! It is heavily themed Sense 1.0 so it looks sweet, has tons of customization and has the stability of stock. I have flashed all the new Sense 2, 2.1 and 3.0 roms but I always come back to Skyraider.

I have been using Gingerbread Remix, its a beta but extremely stable. It's based on sense 2.1 but has sense 3.0 features like the lockscreen.
Skyraider looks like it's still Froyo though, if I'm going to go through the hassle of re-setting up my device I'd rather do it with actual gingerbread, not just themed gingerbread.
well, then you're gona have to look at the very few gingerbread roms out there since it's brand new. there's some in the development section that are PLAIN stock gingerbread sense; then there are some that are themed. i'm on optimized gingersense right now which seems real nice, and root is uploading a new release now that includes some sense 3 goodies, so you might wanna look into that.
I'm on Gingersense remix by wdfowty. It's sense 2.1 but with all the nice sense 3 features that you would want. Lockscreen, message and phone apps.

I've been loving SR 4.0 with Lous #8...but i recently moved over to the Uber kingdom rom and I'm hooked. It has so much potential...wouldnt quite recommend it for a daily driver yet unless you are the patient type
Stock Kingdom is pretty solid now that it's in alpha 2. Only issue I've had is with Rosie, so I just installed launcher pro. Problem solved.

+1..
This rom is amazing. Give it a shot, you won't regret it!
Do any of them have any issues with Exchange activesync?
+1 with GingerSense RmX, great ROM, great Sense 3.0 integration, stable as can be, only problems I've had with it are related to MMS but that's cause I didn't wipe before the update :/
I'm also running the GingerSense ReMix Rom, they just released beta 3 today, its been very stable for me. Just keep in mind its still beta.

None that I have found yet... I have flashed newtoroots and Wdfowty's sense 2.1 Roms.
I run sky raider as my daily. If you are looking for something to set up and run for a while, I'd go with sky raider 4.0. You commented about not wanting to reset everything up. The Ginger sense ports are betas and each release requires full wipe.
SR 4.0 is currently the most stable feature packed sense rom. Waiting for ports or leaked gb builds to get more stable then ill switch. Would love a skyraider rom based on the Inc Gb leakĀ”!
I am using the Stock Plus v3.01 ROM and loving it.
I must admit though, the only reason I am using it because I love HTCs voice recognition keyboard and I didn't know how to get that into CM7 on my Droid Incredible!

This is the next ROM I am going to try. I so far haven't really like anything else.
Am looking for a good, stable sense based ROM for my evo. I want something that I can remove a lot of notification bar clutter, as will as the junk files and apps. Any suggestions?
thank you in advance
MikG or Synergy by Myn
Any of the Sense 2.0 rom's are VERY stable. Like the above poster, I would recommend Myn's Warm 2.2, or a Mik 2.2 rom.
I'd like to know if someone has found a kernel, which would make the sense performance (nearly)completely flawless in roms such as virtuous sense 2.0.0. or insertcoin 1.6 (or another fast sense rom). I like sense and can't be happy with cm7 and other gingerbread styled.
If there were a kernel that made sense run flawlessly I'm sure they would of added it by now...

Surely if there was a kernel that could bring Sense up to the general performance of AOSP ROMs it would be included in every Sense-based ROM in the dev section.
Unfortunately this kernel doesn't exist. When it comes down to it, Sense is bigger and more resource hungry than stock AOSP ROMs and it just won't be as fast assuming the same device and clock speeds.
People who run custom Sense ROMs understand this and are willing to take the performance hit in order to have the Sense features that they like.
Im looking for a stock ICS ROM, where the user experience is as google intended but still makes the most of the HTC hardware.
This is my first android phone and im currently running CyanogenMod 9 - Endeavor Unleashed | 017, which I really like - minus the bugs...
How will a ROM like this compare to RENOVATE 2.1.0 | SUPER FAST, which is a sense ROM with a ICS style launcher over on.
Will it still have all the ICS style menus, contacts, animations?
Which will run faster and more stable?
cheers,
maybe the renovate is more stable because it's based on sense, but the experience of cm9 and aokp is more pure ics, and you have a lot of personalization and theme!
With a powerful device like the One X, a ROM's speed can be mostly a subjective feeling. As far as stability goes, I tend to lean towards Sense-based ROMs, at least until all the AOSP ROMs iron out their bugs. Another reason for favoring Sense-based ROMs is the retention of the Sense camera. Other cameras seem to have trouble with overexposure because of the f/2 aperture.
In summary, a Sense-based ROM that strips out most of Sense, leaving only whatever is required is a good bet, at least for now.

Try Slim ICS or Paranoid rom..both based on cm9 but with added features...both great if you ask me my friend..
Renovate is based still on sense framework and uses a few sense apps still...i do recommend that as well. New update will be coming soon so id wait for that if you want to try...for now as the poster above said i would go and try Renovate..i know the developer and nothing but good dedication from him
