Just loaded the latest Simplicity ROM to my Tilt2 and set up my email accounts. One is a Yahoo account, the other is Gmail via Outlook (google sync) so that the emails are pushed to my phone.
I noticed that my yahoo supports threaded emails, but the gmail (outlook) doesn't. Is there any settings to change this or is it just how it is?
If I Gmail without Outlook, but I will not get push emails, is that correct?
Thanks in advance.

Helle guys!
I'm most likely going to buy Desire tomorrow. My HD2 changed the Lockcode automaticly today. And I'm so tired of the SMS bug and all that other things so I'm going to trash it.
My question is, can I synch Desire with my hotmail? I have everything over there, Calendar, Contacts, Mails, etc.
I love the way this function is intregrated in Leo.
Thanks for reading guys...
Yes, you can sync the desire with hotmail. I think server is pop3.live.com and smtp is smtp.live.com. I have set it up and works fine. I don't know if this is an EU only thing or USA as well..
Not too sure about anything more than the email. I have google calendar and contacts, which works best for obvious reasons..
Good luck

Hey!
Thank you dude!
I'm going to buy it then.
You can't really sync with Hotmail. The only thing you can do is receiving your emails trough pop3. You cannot sync your calendar or your contacts as there is no native hotmail or windows live app/integration for android.
What you could do is import your hotmail account into gmail and then sync your desire with gmail and you'll get your contacts and calendars and of course your e-mails. You can even send your e-mails from you gmail account with a different e-mail adress. After the import you can set your gmail account to query the pop3 hotmail server every 15 minutes to get your mails.
Did this for my girlfriend, so she can get all her mails from hotmail including contacts and calendar.

Well, I just bought this phone and are at home right now. I have heard about this before, I'm going to try it out
Hi
I'm about to get a desire but have heard bad things about email support.
I need the ability to access multiple (5+) email accounts to send and receive email. This is a mixture of IMAP, POP3 + Gmail.
Is the default app capable of this or is another app available ?
Thanks
K9 does multiple accounts very well and is free. Supports IMAP (inc. push) and POP3. For Gmail you could use either protocol I think or even the built-in Gmail account (not used myself).
I have my hotmail account setup in the normal email app for MIUI 1.5.20 on my Evo.
If my inbox has more than 24 messages, and I delete any of the newest emails, I will receive a notification for new email, when in fact, it is the oldest emails back filling in because deleting the email created room.
I could not find any settings to change how far back it should sync email. It would make sense that if the emails were limited by date instead of just plain number(volume), I wouldn't have this problem. Am I the only one?
so i have multiple emails. One is google but the other 2 are POP/IMAP accounts for work/school. in wp7 and iOS, there are options for a unified inbox (linked account in wp7) that displays all of your emails together. on my old android phone, i had to use a separate application to view my POP/IMAP accounts, and then switch back over into gmail to view my gmail stuff.
is there a unified/linked inbox in android 4.0? if so, how does it work and can someone post some photos?
and before anyone says "just add your IMAP account into gmail", i'm well aware of this function but sometimes its better to leave your work/school and private emails separate.
"sometimes its better to leave your work/school and private emails separate"
Then just use the Gmail app for your personal email and the Email app for the other accounts.
To answer your question, no I don't believe there is a unified inbox in ICS.
Sadly, that is why so many opt for 3rd party mail clients, I want a single inbox to manage my mail.
You could connect to your gmail account over imap, which would give you a unified inbox. It's just not quote as polished as the dedicated gmail client.
So, I'm running the Gmail app and it works fine for my Gmail accounts. Additionally I was able to get one of my Gmail accounts to sync contacts with my phone (by adding it as an account), but then the phone keeps showing me the email even though I don't want to see it. Then I added my Yahoo account to the native Email app and the darn phone added all of those contacts as well. I disabled Contacts Sync, but the "Yahoo" contacts are all still there.. The Yahoo account contacts are a mess and I really don't want to sort them out or delete them. To be honest, here is what I want this phone to do (which is what my last Android did easily):
1) Sync my contacts from a specific Google account. Just my contacts, not my email and not my calendar.
2) Sync my email from a specific Yahoo account. Just my email, not my contacts and not my calendar.
I know there is an option that should allow me to achieve #2, but that option ain't working. Its seems to me that there are no options to support #1. I think that the only way to achieve #1 is to configure my Yahoo through another email app.
Please share any thoughts on how I can configure #1 and #2 successfully.
