White desire :)

A new color is available for the desire .. white , its simply beautiful , i wonder why htc decided to make the brown color the standard edition , the black and silver editions are awesome too

i have the brown one -,-
wish i knew about the black one before purchase
all i ever saw in shops was the brown one (even on the internet - i have seen a few shots of the black one but i thought it was with some cover or something) so i assumed they only come in brown color :F
white one looks like it shows dirt/sweat after 5sec

The black one is exclusive to Orange in the UK, not sure if its available in other countries or not.
The white looks nice but looks like it'll soon look dirty though

I got a silver one. Absolutely love it. Also because it's more rare. Few people have the Silver version.

Silver one just looks cheap, compared to brown one. The high contrast of the Amoled screen just comes out more prominent on the brown one. I was a bit worried when ordering, but i still think the brown one is the prettiest.

I wonder if anyone else notice this. The aluminum trim around the screen on my brown desire change colour depends on sunlight. Sometime it looks like brown, light blue, and dark grey.

Totally agree with all if this. IMHO, all other colours just don't cut it. I love my brownish Desire, wouldn't trade it for any other colour.

I originally went looking all over the place for the silver one, but eventually settled for the brown one as that one was easier to get my hands on a while back. Kind of happy with the decision, in pictures the brown one is horrible to look at, but if you hold it in your hand and/or hold a silver one next to it, the silver one looks like crap. Brown does work, just not in the pictures.
The white one also looks good in the pictures, but I wonder what it'll end up looking like once you actually hold it in your hands and work with it.

Those aren't the OEM backplates. The backplate on my black one has bronze-ish dots all over it and isn't the same color as the soft-touch material around it.

No, they aren't OEM, but tmo & htc inscriptions are there... prob to make it look OEM. I have the white back on my white glacier. No dots, shiny white coat on the outside, same metal as the old one underneath. (Or from what I can tell from the side that doesn't show)... I got mine on eBay for $5...

Looks pretty awesome, although I would be very wary of doing it myself. Your warranty would be void and they would know unless you can somehow save or replace the sticker on the screw. pretty big risk to change the color of your phone in my opinion

Hi guys! Going to buy my htc one x tomorrow, what color do you suggest? White or dark gray? I'm a male btw.
Do you still recommend hox over gs3? I reaally like the screen of hox! I know it lags but I'm sure custom roms with jellybean fix them all. Am I right? Help please..

easy, u better choose dark gray, bcos if u choose white, ur phone will ge dirty very soon bcos its not made of plastic its made of poly-carbonate. more over white it self get dirty soon.

one x better for me in deffernt ways, build quality, performance, display and HTC SENSE.

Get the White one with the official HTC case. It looks better than the dark Grey & the case will protect it from getting dirty, while keeping its great looks.

I got the white cause it was the cheapest. Did you know there is a black one as well? That's what I wanted but it was €100 more expensive.
I Just got a black silicon case for €5, it looks good and gives it better grip cause it can be a bit slippy

I wanted buy a white version but it was out of stock and I wanted to get HOX as fast as possible so I chose grey. A few weeks ago I had a chance to check white one and I can say that I was lucky by taking grey device.
I do not like white version cause it looks so plastic and it also reminds me a bit white iPhone. Grey version is really neutral and if you do not wanna be extravagant or something like this, go for grey.

White looks way better to me. Doesnt look cheap at all. It doesnt get dirty very easy, even if it does its very easy to clean. I saw many people who bought grey hox later changed the case to white because it really does look better. Althouth it's a personal choice.
If you come from an older phone you won't notice lag. Like I used desire for sometime and then moved to hox.
Sgs3 is a good phone. But sense is way ahead of touchwiz even if it may be slower a bit, but jellybean should change that. Get hox, you won't regret

Yeah white is the best one mate definately, people saying it gets dirty are wrong, mine is still gleaming and looks amazing. Too many black phones I like to be different so I also got white.
3 - I always choose white phones
4 - If it does get dirty (which it doesnt) I know lots of people from XDA who simply get some Cif, dab it on a bit of cloth, rub it and voila clean !

I went for the grey one at first, but ended up having the phone replaced because it was faulty. So when they ordered me a new one I asked for the white one instad of the grey. The white one is so much nicer. If you go for the grey - you'll wish you had the white lol. But that's my opinion.

I never tried cif, but I wouldn't go using it on a €400 - €500 mobile. It is an abrasive cleaner and might leave an uneven finish.
I would first use soapy water, and if that fails, 70% alcohol.

Mine is white and after 8 month still clean. Also I have almost zero scratches, tough I used it Hardcore

My HOX used to be grey but I had to replace the back and sim tray because the white back+simtray was much cheaper than the grey version I got the white one and since then quite a few people commented on my phone on how beautiful is looked and if I got a new one. I initially chose grey because I was concerned the white bezel would distract from the screen but I can reassure you it doesn't.

Right
Grey was 130€ cheaper when I bought it, so I went for grey.
Always thought about chasing the housing
Now that I cracked the grey housing while opening it the 3rd time to fix Wi-Fi I guess I'll order a white housing + SIM Tray for it

Hi... I recommend the black one + with 64GB / 2100mAh battery / Tegra 3 1.7Ghz (after owning a grey HOX 6 months)
I don't know were you live, and if is avaliable in your country allready... if you can't buy it now, of if you just want the one x instead one x+, so I recommend grey... but i also ear that white is more flawless.
And yes if you want a MALE smartphone don't even compare with sammy's3
Jellybean in my One X+ works just fine, and i'm sure it will work great in One X too

I've been using white for 6 months now with no case and there is no dirt on it...
In the other hand people are complaining about fingerprints on the back of grey variant.
P.s.- This phone is not a samsung and it's too beautiful to use a case

My white phone hasn't got dirty. Even if it did all you would have to do is give it a wipe.

I chose the white one. I wish i could have gotten it in the red colour my incredible s had. That looked damn nice.
I think the grey is to neutral. I like standing out. Though its a bit hard whith only 2 colours

Anyone know if the quality of these rear housings are good? are they genuine? i have so many dongs and scratches on mine i want to get it replaced, would be a good opportunity to get a different color rear since I've always wanted a gold or silver one, do you guys think it would look odd with gold/silver back and gun metal front?

I'm wondering the same thing and what about sanding the gun metal front? Would it be silver underneath? Watched several drop test and scratch tests and nothing much happens to the front

Lava red housing for sale?

Does anyone know where I can buy a lava red housing for the 5t? I bought a 5t when it launched but I love that red color. Was just gonna swap the housing if I could find anywhere that sold it in red. Any links or help? Would OnePlus sell me one if I asked??

I was hoping for the real thing and not a skin

So far I haven't had any issues with the finish on my on 5T (which is black), but I imagine if the red shows black spots underneath if the finish wears off it would be much worse. So while my favorite color maybe red, I think I'd just stick to black. Not to mention my phones are always in a case anyways. This is why I'd second the skin suggestion. Not to mention opening the device obviously has some risk as well.
I highly doubt OnePlus will sell you parts.

I was checking that out too.. went to a couple parts websites and eBay looking for a red housing and so far all I could find is the black one.
So I just bought the red one and gave my wife my black one.
I would still love the option to buy a red housing though so I can go caseless and just replace it once it gets scratched up.

I think swapping housings is a terrible idea.
1) there is the slight chance you might break something
2) there is a chance you'll compromise what little water resistance the glue provides
I'd just sell my phone and buy the one I want.

1. Get a skin
2. Get a red case
3. Next time buy the color you want
As mentioned previously I would never take apart my phone simply bc I wanted a new color and especially not if there want any physical damage I was hoping to get rid of. The phones sold out domestically and only on sale in Europe and China in red, I'm assuming the housing will be hard to come by.
