Amzer Jelly case from Amazon

Just got this case today. The case feels so cheap and loosely. All I wanted to say is I don't like it and won't recommend anyone getting it.
But I will live with it though.

Finally a review with pics on the amzer for the Vibrant... I've been wondering about this one for a while, finally your review with some good clear pics have pushed me not to get the Amzer and get the Tmobile case instead.

Yea I got the amzer jelly case as well it was okay but felt a little too cheap it seemed like the phone could come out very easily cause the mold wasn't even that great.
I also didn't think they'd brand the crap out of it like that, the pictures didn't show that on their site.
I wouldn't get anything from amzer anymore because I also got the screen protectors and that wasn't really an exact fit neither. I sent an email regarding that to them and no reply.

That's too bad. I had had high hopes for the Amzer products. Hopefully their TPU stuff is a little better.

Got the black slicone from Tmobile today and I am happy. It doesn't get the dust like the one I bought from ebay from China also has a good snug fit also not like the ebay one. Funny thing though the Tmobile one says made in china.... but it is a better quality silicone.

Arrived today as well. I'm returning it. Garbage, this is not what they had pictured when I ordered it.

So I read about 50 pages of forums before buying from amazon.. just got white and purple jelly from amzer .. these are nice with no loose color and working for my vibrant. Also, the purple shown in the picture is a lot darker than the purple that arrives, which is really a very light purple. Camera, speaker cutouts are perfect, volume toggle and power button could use a little more pronounced rubber, but all in, it's working great. am also waiting for luxe argyle case .. these got lot of praise on amazon

Got my amzer jelly and amzer luxe argyle cases today. I will try and take some pics when I get home tonight. The jelly will likely get sent back. It's not what I ordered and it's not nearly as nice as the argyle.
The jelly has a thinner rubber that's loose on the sides. The argyle is a smoother, thicker and harder type of rubber. The fit is very tight on the phone and the cutouts are perfect. The rubber looks and feels smooth, but it's not a slippery smooth. It is tacky enough to stay put when you have it in your hand or set it on a desk, but it's not tacky enough that it sticks to the insides of you pockets and grabs all the lint. So far I'm impressed.

I've been using the T-Mobile case I got when the phone came out. I love it comes out of my pocket without sticking just hope they make good hard cases or come out with more cool colors.

I agree this silicone case blows...worst silicone case I have ever bought. I bought it a couple of weeks ago and my Vibrant floats inside the case badly. Also, the volume and power button extrusions are flush and difficult to locate. Poor thought in design. Score: -5

I have the argyle tpu case..and the TPU is more stiff than the chinese tpu I currently have on now.

I bought the Amzer from Amazon as well. No good! Too loose. I has already ordered a 99 cent with 99 cent shipping plain black jelly on ebay and it was actually a bit tighter.

Needless to say I got one and it was fine. Not as tight as I'd like, but much better than the Amzer.
An _identical_ looking one is here, albeit at a much higher price.

Zenus 'Prestige' Carbon Series Stand / Case

Well, I just got this case today. It comes in black or white. I got the black one. I'd post pictures but my grandkids are here and I won't be able to do it until tomorrow.
My mini-review:
Pros:
Fit and Finish is beautiful.
Very light. Case and Tablet weighs 1lb 12.6ozs
Very thin.
(Added) The edges of the screen are not covered. Like the Samsung case there are 3 clips to hold the TAB. I don't like the way most ofthe other cases cover the border of the screen with "PU" or leather.
Cons:
TOO EXPENSIVE. It may be "worth" $85 + shipping for it's quality but for what it is it's just too much money
TOO EXPENSIVE
"Stand" is only a single position and the way it works is you have to unsnap the bottom half of the tablet from it's perfectly fitting snap on cover and rest it on the "latch" that holds locks the case closed. I have to believe that eventually the snaps will lose their tension and not tightly hold the Tablet. May be wrong there but it seems to be.
Must be opened to access USB connection.
TOO EXPENSIVE
I have six months to return it so I'm not worried.

I looked at that case but since it was seemingly 2x as thick and made from "synthetic leather" (either plastic or "PU" not sure which) I chose the other. I probably would prefer the Samsung over that one since the Samsung is very thin and lite. Also don't like the "hand strap" since it reminds me of a ping-pong paddle.
However if the quality is just as good it would be a good alternate choice for those who don't mind the thicker vinyl case.

Cut the price in half and I'll buy.

I sent it back for a refund. Too expensive and required "unsnapping" the bottom 2 clips holding the TAB to "stand" it.
Well made and excellent fit and VERY light .... but not worth it to me.

Aw, that's kinda upsetting. It sure looked like a nice case, and for some reason I'm a sucker for carbon fiber styling, but it's sad to hear about those downsides.
If nothing else, thanks for being a guinea pig on that! It was hard enough to justify that kind of money on a simple case even if it was perfect. The USB slot issue is the killer, really.

How did you go about sending it back for a refund. I'm about to do the same with mine. My initial impressions were that it was a good case but after having it a couple days I'm ready to return it and get something cheaper that is probably a better quality.

I purchased through Amazon. I went into my Amazon account and sent the "seller" a message, They have a 14 day return policy. You can also contact them through their website but if you purchased from Amazon you should email through there as Amazon keeps records of the contacts and you are protected.

i was thinking about getting this case but real expensive ... waiting on your pics ...

BTW, it was NOT carbon fiber, it's a vinyl fabric.

These Zenus cases look pretty slick, but also very pricey. What other cases do you all recommend?

Same here, I have not found any cases I would think are worth buying compared to the official one.

$10 TPU Case From eBay

Background
I buy exensive devices, but I never want to buy expensive or large cases for my devices. I personally believe cases wreck the look and feel of a device, so if I am going to get one, I go minimalistic as possible. This is where the TPU case comes in.
TPU cases are nice because they fit tightly around the device and do not add much thickness or weight. They are better than your typical rubber, plastic, or silicone because they do not attract dust and hair and whatnot, while also being much studier.
The main thing I wanted to do was find the cheapest case I could and this one came out to $10, which is much better than paying $80 for a Zenus Prestige, or a Melko for over $100. This case was $10 and had free expedited shipping from a US seller and got here in 2 days.
Now About the Case
It comes in different colors, like white, smoke, and black. I chose the smoke so you could still see through the back a little bit. When it arrived it was in a padded envelope which was fine. It fits my Tab 10.1 quite well with all of the cutouts for buttons, headphone jack, speakers, mic, and 30 pin directly centered over where they should be. The only issue I have is that it is a tiny bit loose on the long sides, probably due to the numerous cutouts. Even with that issue it seems well made and adds some protection against dings, scratches, and drops and it doesnt attract dirt and things like that when you set it down. For $10 you really can't go wrong.
This case is for people that want to keep the same overall shape of the device, but have a little protection. This and a screen protector would keep the device protected well. It is for people that do not want to deal with the flaps and folds from the stand cases and it is also for people that are cheap like me.

Thank you, this case is exactly what I want. I was unsure what it would look like, but thanks to your pics I can see that it looks great. I'm buying one now.

I went ahead and ordered the tpu case. I hope it's much better than the **** gel case I ordered a couple weeks ago. That Chinese black gel case on ebay is low quality and poor fitment.

I use the same case for my tab I got a good deal on ebay with some high quality screen protectors included.
I also use a cheap neoprene case I bought from amazon

This is useful when transporting the Tab in the boot of my car and doubles as a stand if I roll it up and prop the Tab up on it.
TPU is definately the material of choice for this kind of case and the grip pattern at each end of the case make it easier to hold the Tab.

Got the black one too but after seeing pics of the smoked one I felt like like i odered the wrong color !

I do like this case and think I will go for this in the time being until incipio comes out with there silicyrilic case next month or so. How does the weight feel to it? Does it seem durable if it was dropped or banged around? I would like to be able to bring it anywhere outdoors and keep it protected fairly well.

It doesn't add too much weight and it does seem to be quite durable. I haven't really dropped my Tab yet though and I plan on not doing it.

There should be a link on the first page to an ebay auction. They all look the same just different colors. If you find the link go to his store and look at the other colors or you could just search TPU case for samsung galaxy tab 10.1.

I have the exact same one on my evo 3d, I had one on my mytouch 4g. I really love this case. Plus it has texture grips on the side which will make this thing less slippery I'm glad to see they made it for the E4GT

hows the bulk on the case? is it about the same as the typical tpu case?

The case protection is great but I find the buttons very hard to press with the case (on my Nexus). The case material is too stiff to press the button.

Had this case for my nexus too. It was not for me but maybe the problems were just for the nexus

I'll let you know when I get it. Not sure if it will be different since the e4gt is much thinner. on my other devices it was the same as any tpu case. not bulky but not paper thin. The grip sides is what I really love about it and the difference in textures in the back gives it some added grip. The case does feel very nice in the hand.

When I had it for my mytouch 4g the buttons were really hard to press as well but I didnt mind that because that just meant I wouldnt hit them by accident like I always did But the one on my evo 3d while they are still a little harder to press they are much easier to press than the one that was on my mytouch 4g. Some people just use an exacto knife and cut out holes for the buttons it's very easy to do and since the case is so cheap, you can do it, mess it up(which you would have to be retarded, drunk or stoned to do) and not feel guilty about it.

Looks pretty nice. Almost ordered one but ships from out of USA...

Just got mine. It looks sweet on my phone. I like the fact that you get both textures on it, matte and gloss in a nice design. The grips on the side are a nice and useful touch. The cutout are spot on. The power and volume buttons are not a problem. You can push them in with ease. I ordered it on the 28th, shipped out on the 29th, and received it on the 4th. Can't really complain about shipping from China when you get it that fast. As long as customs doesn't stop it you should have it in the same time frame. Very happy with this purchase and for only $2.90 it makes it even better. I would definitely recommend them.

dunno about the s2 models, but the pictures for the galaxy note looks like it doesnt provide enough corner protection. when you drop a phone, its 90% likely to land on a corner first, so corner protection is important.

Exactly what I was talking about.
Apart from not having a 'Galaxy Note' label it takes forever to arrive to Italy.
Did anybody see something similar in Europe?

I got the black mesh yesterday. I really like it. Looks good, feels good. Adds about 2mm to total width. I think it covers corners well enough to protect Pretty well, but it does leave the top and bottom and half of each corner exposed. Sure does squelch the accidental hitting of volume and power buttons, which was a major goal. Fits fine into PU "leather" belt case I got.

To my surprise, the bubble case has arrived today...very fast postage, only took about a week
Anyways....here are some pictures and my thoughts about it, comparing to the Nillkin TPU case.
# The black part of the back of the case is actually of hard plastic material, and the grey sides of the case are of TPU. It kind of remind me of the Commuter Series of Otterbox, but instead of being 2 pieces, it's all in one piece. It does feel cheaper than OtterBox though....well...IT IS...
# It fits the phone really well and covers the edges of the screen a bit better than the Nillkin ones.
# I'm not sure if it is because of the hard plastic at the back...but it is actually quite hard to put the case on without feeling that I might somehow scratch the sides of the phone. But if you don't have a habit of taking the case off frequently, it will not be a problem to you. If you do...then...this will definitely cause you some pain.
# I think the dimensions of this case are a bit wider, longer, and thicker than the Nillkin....but NOT that much.
# The unlock and volume buttons are HARDER to press than the Nillkin case
# The glossy back bubble offers great look and also good grip (surprisingly).
All in all...I am very happy with this case...and personally I prefer this one than the Nillkin because of it's cool looks and the mixed of materials of hard plastic and TPU (somehow I think it might provide better protection).
So, anyways...I hope this helps and also hope to hear others opinions soon...

Also ordered the Black Mesh case from an eBay seller for US $4.50. hope the quality n fit is good! last time I had a mesh case for my Galaxy S and the rubber coating started peeling off in a months time!!! had to thrown it away as it started looking ugly!

yep mate, sure sounds a great deal.. as the ebay seller wasn't shipping to India, I started searching other sites for thi, and found it at obostore. I have bought stuff from them before, and they are good.
Will upload pics after I get it. Ordered white here so that if quality isnt good, then can order black from the ebay guy if he agrees to ship here.
