Hi all,
Is it possible to make the LED flash indefinitly when receiving a notification that makes the LED flash?
I'm running NextSense, but I'd like to know if it'd be possible on stock as well.
Thanks

Yes, I want this too.
By the way, Handcent SMS can do this; however it doesn't interact quite well with the stock sms app, and I don't want to use Hadcent UI as it's ugly as f***
However, you may like it. It can also set different LED colors and LED flash interval etc. Pretty neat, and IMO showing it should be possible to implement similar functionality into the stock messaging app...

is there a way to have the led flash orange or some other color when there is an unread text message or email?
I know that the blackberry curve and the blackjack2 both have this feature and was curious as to whether or not a wm6.1 phone could do the same.
Thanks
Try this out see if you like it. Then get the most current version.

I use the same one and I like it a lot. I suggest that people use this one because it works great.
What version is stable with our phone?
yes...it works...but once u input a wrong reg code...then u will never be able to register this soft unless u hard reset your device...thats bad.
any other ideas then?
I've installed. The LED is just blink faster but not change color. Anyway thanks!

Yah thats all it does, where you looking for something different...
It would be cool to find something where you could set various LEDs as notification for various messages...i.e. blue led = vmail, amber led = email, green led = text, etc.
im having troubles getting dontforget to work... does anyone have it working on 6.1 yet?
I like the stock messaging app a lot but there are 2 or 3 things that i would love to be able to add to it. I know handcent has the few things i will list but i like to keep the phone with as few apps and things going on as possible.
Is it possible to add:
Screen on for message? (even the 4 buttons at the bottom light up?)
Edit the led blink rate
Privacy mode to not show texts on the lock screen.
If this is just impossible ill switch back to handcent but id love to stay w the stock app.
No response?
I just use handcent since it already has all those cool features...including custom background, so to do what you want with the stock client i would think u would have to be running a deodexed rom with some custom theme work done but dont take my word for it im still quite noobish myself
Just a quick question here, I tried having a look for an existing thread relating to it but no luck.
On my Desire HD I have a bit of a messaging issue. About 50% of the time when I receive an SMS it doesnt notify me in anyway. The only way I will find out I have these messages is by going into the messages folders itself. The other 50% of the time it notifys as normal - sound, led and icon in top bar.
Any ideas here?
Cheers
Ronan
what ROM are you running or is it stock??
it could be that you need to change The LED settings in the App itself or under settings depending on what ROM you are running.

Stock ROM. Its not just the LED though, no form of notification what so ever.
looks like its an issue after the update. Apologies for the duplicate thread

Hey guys, with any custom rom I have tried my LED notifications aren't working as correctly as they would have done when running my factory standard Desire.
With any custom rom, the LED will only illuminate green for few apps and charging. Before rooting etc with apps such as Go SMS I could set sms messages to give a pink led notification but other colours such as this don't work at all now with a custom rom.
Is there a workaround with this issue or could it be a fault with my device?
Regards, DJM.
hi,
yes there is a work around, just look to the market for a app called led me known
Thanks dude, shall give this a try.
Are there any other modifications I can try?
about what you mention... no led me know would be enought to sort this
Hi,
I downloaded 'Led me know' from the market but my LED is still not showing when i receive a text message.
I'm having this problem only on InsertCoin latest stable rom (CM7). Is there a fix i can apply myself instead of waiting for a update of the rom?
Thx in advance!
Hi,
It s advice to uncheck notification from settings sound and display and set notification with only led me know.
Dunno about your rom, i would ask this on thred 'dev.
You can test the notification behaviour with led me know

Hey all,
I know that in contacts you can set the notification LED's colour to be a certain colour for a certain contact, but I was wondering, is it possible to use an app or something or manually set it for each function?
Like when I get a message if it could be say purple and when facebook notifications come through could it be blue, when I get a call it could be green, etc.
Unless the G3 already has this feature built in (In which case I'm missing it) does anyone know of a way to do this? I had an old LG phone and I was able to do it with that but I'm not sure if you can on this one. Can you without rooting or is there a way to with root?
Thanks in advance guys!

Try out Light Flow. The link I provided is for the free version. If it works out for you you can upgrade to the paid version which will give many you more options.
Light manager works and does not require root
Cheers guys
Light flow doesn't require root to function well...
