What else should LumpiStefan offer in his ROM kitchen?

At Lumpistefan's ROMkitchen (http://www.romkitchrn.de) you can get a lot of things. Do you miss something?
I do:
- Alexander Zavorine's NoteM (http://zavorine.net) - freeware mp3 voice recorder
- SPB FreeCell - games
- Fann Software Converter (http://www.fannsoftware.com)
- WisBar or same
- Yishin SoundToday
- Remover
- CHM reader
- XacRett
The last 4 are very small progs and do not take up much space, but installing them every time I do a HardReset... :evil:
Something I've forgotten?

WM 2003 Turning On/Off Automatically
I would love to see a startup app that stops the WM2003 from automatically turning the XDA to ON when it is going in and out of coverage areas. That is the primary reason why I haven't permanently switched to WM2003 from SER 1.2
Does anyone know of a solution to work around this wonderful feature? :twisted: :?:

Since opening the Kitchen i´ve got about 45 GB Transfervolumina for the Kitchen. That are nearly 3000 ROMs and that would be 30.000 Dollars. I don´t have so much money in the moment... Sorry

I cooked 4.01.16 with MMS Composer ... it gives error msg "some components are missing ...". I found it's the MIDI56.sa and Camera.sa cab files ... no big deal, I installed them and every things works like charm .... thx again
I thought of sending you the snap file of IA Caller ID s/w, but aparently I found it dosn't give you the pic of the caller everytime ... I 'm not sure it's my ROM or it works only for XDA II

Biso I have the same ROM 4.01.16 with MMS Composer. Even the IA Caller ID installed it's working fine and it's showing the caller pic every time..

4.01.19 do not includ PDF Viewer and Presentation viewer.....
German ROMS do only support German. It's not possible to chnage the language or install a "patch" to do so....
4.00.33 was an prereöease. many files differ some other are changed by layout... (exe are now dll)

i would be gratefull if Stefan adds description of the ROM downloaded like yorch, in other words for the 3rd time i fall into that t-mobile crap where once i download this rom i can't change it the SW way i have to do the SD way which never worked with me in 3 differant mobiles ?!?!?!?!?!? which might mean that my MMC 256 card might be differant the SD 256 or something like that, anyways if you specify that this rom version is OK & this version will not allow further SW upgrade that would be nice

i meant you know that T-mobile roms once installed in your xda I will never be able to change this rom any more through the software upgrade, you will have to use the SD card method, their are other roms that you can upgrade & downgrade freely from without any problems so put a note say beside the 4,16 & 4,05 rom that once you upgrade to this rom you'll not be able to change the rom unless using the SD card way,

I'm Cooking now a Rom 4.01.16 with the new Poly's ringtone integration Thanks to Stefan for the hard effort and the hard work otherwise we’re at the STONE AGE :lol: and I can't deny The developers they are the masters.

So, what happens if I try to upgrade with the .exe file to 4.01.16 k? (I have 4.00.11 k)

it should say, errorgetconnectiontype then a message that says check the USB connection or with the kitchen roms the windows will simply dispapear

Problem with dd/MMM/yy...
I am having problems with the following format; dd/MMM/yy.
I changed the format and I still received the dropped 7 in the date. I read the wiki did the registry tweak, and used this prog as well. Still no dice. i'm on a plane now getting ready to head to NYC, so if u have any ideas I'd appreciate it.

If you are having the dropped last digit, add at least 2 spaces to the END of your custom string. If that's not enough do one more...

can you put there version number on the front page of the app please so we can see which one we have installed. i looked but couldnt find it

yes but when you have the date and time up there like most of us do the version is cut off all i see is V1

Cingular 8125
I've got an 8125 w/WM5, but cannot see this one after installing (tried many times). Also, after installing, I see "The program you have installed may not display properly because it was designed for a previous version of Windows Mobile software."
Does anyone have any suggestions? I *really* want to try this one out!

look in the /windows folder for HTCustom and make sure you have the latest version of .net framework, he may have forgot the shortcut again

Rufus, it says that with the hermes as well (because its WM6 not WM 5). Keep in mind that this changes specific registry settings and those are probably not a good idea to try on the 8125. I don't think it'll hurt it too bad, but the settings may not take well.

Ok, I've updated the rom with HTC Network wizard 1.0. This one includes network settings for Japan and other countries as well.

I don`t know if you are aware of the PIE slow scrolling bug that is/was present in 3.60 ROMs
If you already fixed it, ignore this post, if not there is a fix in the pandora kitchet threat, or you can see my post history, you will find it both ways in case you need it

I found that there are some errors on the keyboard layout. If I typed "!", it shows "~", the "?" shown as "@" and so on. Could you fix it? Beside that, overall it is good.

use the AdvancedConfig_v1.0 floating around here, this will help your keyboard probs.

Oops .. I'm using Softbank X01HT so I've set the keyboard layout in this ROM to fit Japanese layout:

I've attached the cabs to change the keyboard layout for Tytn and 8525 .. take your pick! Don't forget to power off your phone and then power back on when you have finished. Soft reset will not make the changes stick.

First off love the ROM.
Fast and does the Job.
Only problem i have come across is with the HTC Home plug-in.
I click on weather and select my location being Cape Town, South Africa.
I was amazed to see it there without me having to edit the XML file.
Anyways i select Cape Town, South Africa it connects to HSPDA or 3G and then bam black screen and my phone restarts.
I am going to try using a different Home Plug-in and edit the XML file like i normally do. To see if it solves the problem.
Will post a reply if it works.

To resolve the "close application" problem I am using quick menu 2.7. After installing tap on the top left corner of the screen and you will find something like a startmenu, from the list tap on close program. There is also an additional feature like you can view your RAM usage, battery performance, etc directly from the top of the screen.

Tomtom not installing
Hello,
Your ROM is really quick and complete. Only one problem in my case, couldn't see the tomtom icon in the programs list. reinstalling tomtom 6 onmy PC didn't help either. Even though I could use TomTom Home to load maps and voice, I can't run the application and don't see in ActiveSync "Add/remove programs".
Any idea?

Try the latest version of TOMTOM 7.916.9189 for HTC Devices. Mine is working fine with some tweaking for further info visit http://forum.ppcwarez.org/viewtopic.php?f=264&t=53303
If the problem still persist try freeing up RAM.

Its true the Thai character interferes with special char, I am still working on it. Till the time being I'll suggest to use Resco keyboard as it has separate mode for special char and the keys are also quite big that makes it a finger friendly keyboard. I am using it and hope you will also find useful.

First FLASH, first opinion!!

This was my first time i did a flash on my P3300.
First of all i have to say that you ROM is really good. I had no issues at all.
The thing is I'd like to flash an other ROM with the M2D (if I spell it right), but I had a problem with it. I did the CID, and as I started to flash it sad that the image size is not correct or something. I'm looking forward to fix this problem, because at this moment i didnt find a proper solution.
Maybe someone will post and help me.
Anyway, maybe I found a small bug. As I installed the IGo8, it went good, i can use it etc., but if i want to endit the HOMESCREEN, and add there the IGo8 icon, the phone stops responding. Maybe a bug, maybe I did something wrong.
Anyway, looking forward for you work, and hope some new ROM's will come out from your kitchen.

I think, that in this ROM set up Czech regional setting is not possible. I´m using ROM from Emrulez http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=566595 , there is it OK.

-Deleted some default ringtones, and added 5 new ringtones.

Do you know that just with this mod you lost the function of updating through kies????
the new kies 2.0 has bad security like checking CSC and firmware version and product code and making sure they match with the update before updating the phone so please if you are making this for alot of people tell them this before it is too late

Is there any way to change this by myself? I find this project very good and good work for you guys but i dont want to change the entire firmware.. just a few tweaks..

The firmware have all language.
for multiple sms you need to flash the firmware you cant tweak the wave with stune or tkfileexplorer for this tricksk

That can be change on CSC/Customer/your region code (for exemple XEF for france)/customer.xml
You have to change this with the name and the url you want.
