New Samsung App - AndroidGuys

Just found this new app in Samsung Apps called AndroidGuys. Am just going to try it out. Looks like it's a phone based interface to a site called AndroidGuys.com.

[Q] XDA android app is not foun in market anymore

XDA android app is not found in market anymore. From market I am notified that there is an update for XDA-Developers but when I go into its market page I get not found. Can someone confirm that problem?
I use SGS I9000 (PDA I9000XWJs5, PHONE I9000XXJPY, CSC I9000XENJS3). Thanks!
PS: Paid version is visible on market

I can only find the paid version now and the last update pretty much ruined the free version for me so I restored an older version.

I got an update ealier today and it downloaded fine... (Free version)

I noticed that the favorites were not working anymore after the update. Deleting them and setting them again solved the problem ...

They are sorting out bugs, check the xda twitter account...

I just went ahead and got the paid version.
Slightly different theme and no adds. Probably not worth it but meh

Also I find (since the upgrade, still on free version) that when now clicking on threads I've participated in, that it goes to the 1st and not the last or previous page I'd viewed before.
Don't know if that's meant to encourage us subliminally to get the paid version
Think I'll just see if I can rollback on the udpate.

ICS Not Able To Access Certain Website.

Guys! I'm loving my new phone running CM9.
I noticed ICS can not access certain https web sites. No matter what browser I run.
For example:
https://members.premiereinteractive...et=http://www.coasttocoastam.com/member/auth/
Is a login page from premierinteractive to sign into listen to a popular radio show Coast to Coast AM. Before ICS my sgs2 running gingerbread had no issue going to that page. Does anyone have a solution, or do I need to just live with it?

have you tried requesting desktop site or changing user agent to desktop instead of android?

Yep, still wouldn't work. I think it has something to do with the length of the URL. I'm no programmer but somewhere in ICS its not allowing the site to load. It loads just fine with any browser on my wife's 3g Vibrant. I was able to get it to load prior to the ICS upgrade. I'll try the Opera browser.

Yep! That did it! Opera is the KING! I normally wouldn't use Opera, im a Dolphin fan boy myself. However I've been using the Google Chrome browser recently and I'm amazed how quick it is.

KeyChain
I might be wrong but it sounds like an SSL issue with ICS's KeyChain API.
In ICS Google has unified all cert/credential management and key exchange into a single API called KeyChain. Any browser which uses its own method of cert management would be exempt from the issue. As far as a fix, if it is KeyChain there is a way to alter the certs list but not without some work in android.security.KeyChain.

Download fails

Downloads fail on my lg nitro hd 2.3.5 unrooted in boat browser mini and dolphin.I tried on opera but it gets stuck while waiting for download (on 55 secs).Downloads only work off of fastshare.cz dont know why.I have file managers.I tried clearing media storage and download manager and enabled downloads in astro...but still no help.Does anyone have a solution?

Which downloads from which site? I had trouble in the past from some filehosts that require some sort of Captcha.

Its from sites like rapidgator,turbobit, egofiles etc.

Figured it was sites like that. I don't know what to tell you, you might be SOL. Maybe try desktop mode for sites like that?

Would maybe official ics fix that? Anyone have ics and does downloads please reply with what browser and does it download with ics?BTW how is gaming and video playback and benchmarks on official ics? Thinking about updating.thx

[Q] change profile location?

I am from Malaysia, but i have been studying in Australia for 2 months. Anyway, I found that although Google recognize my location , and i have set my address in Australia is google now, my play store still show contents for Malaysia. I wish i could enjoy Services in Australia like google music, books, etc, but how should i do that?
any suggestion? thanks

Do a full wipe. Then flash a Australian rom.
