Rooted using unrevoked. Flashed NeoPhyte 1.7.1 which was great. Flashed LeeDriod which was fine. Flashed pinky-desire-1.8, also fine. Flashed NeoPhyte 1.8 and got weird colors on all screens following boot. The boot animation colors are fine, clockwork recovery screens are fine but once booted the screen has flashing red horizontal bands and a red band on the notification bar. All colors are distorted as well.
I tried nandroid restore to NeoPhyte 1.7.1 - same problem. Tried reflashing Neo 1.8, same problem. In between I wiped everything I could find.
Any ideas? Is this a known issue? I have tried searching but to no avail so far. Any help gratefully received.
Chris
Were you running an OC kernel at all? Sounds like something has fried, especially since you went back to a "known good" ROM from a previous flash.
Thanks, as far as I can tell from the threads none of the ROMS I flashed OC's the chips. Also, which may indicate a software fault rather than hardware, the boot animation screen, which for Neo is pretty colorful and animated to cover most of the screen, is fine. Maybe this is just wishful thinking...

hi guys, ive been trying to try a few different AOSD roms on my S-LCD desire as i aint really a fan of Sense. the problem is after i have rooted and flashed LeeDroid (first rom i tried reccomended from a friend) i was then looking at the other roms OD, DeFrost, and CyanogenMod.
i tried flashing OD after nandroid and wipe rebooted and got an odd screen after splash screen, sarts black and then all these red green blue vertical lines start to pop up, after a while the phone reboots and then hangs on splash. it did the same with defrost.
i flashed CyanogenMod 6.0.0 through rom manager and all is well works no probs and i do love it.
then i notice DeFrost is available through Rom manager so try flashing from rom manager and the same old funny black screen pops up with multi coloured lines.
just restore back to cyanogen no probs.
BUT my phone also presented this problem flashing VorkKernel i tried the HAVS version and got the black screen and i now run one of the SVS versions. i then realised how his thread works and tried r7.1 but again had the black screen.
anyone any idea whats up?
cheers luke
this is a bit of a bump but anyone any ideas what may be going on cos now it seems i cant flash any rom even update cm6.0.0 to 6.1 :S slightly annoying
Well, as you have stated, you have an SLCD phone. That might be the cause of your problems. Have you tried roms made for SLCD?
ill have a badgers have a look for slcd specific roms. suppose i was abit naive in thinking new versions of roms would support slcd?
i will have a look but has anyone found any nice fast slcd specific roms? non sense
managed to flash CyanogenMod 6.1 now by flashing rom and then flashing VorkKernel before rebooting
No idea why this is happening, I have a rooted/s-off'd SLCD desire, has been working fine up until the point I flashed the N1 table to use with Oxygen, Oxygen installed and worked fine. I then decided to go back to Aurax and wiped/flashed but it sits on the splash screen and goes no further (no matter how long I leave it for), I then tried Leedroid, same thing, I also tried a Sense HD rom, same problem.
I then flashed back the Sense table and tried again, same problem, just sit's on the splash screen.
I can flash non-sense roms and they work perfectly (e.g. Miui/Oxygen/Defrost etc).
Any ideas?
Edit: I appear to have fixed it, flashed the Bravo Stock 1.5 img, rebooted bootloader and cleared cache.
Basically when I install the warm 2.2 rom it will hang on the htc evo screen. I had flashed this rom earlier this morning and it flashed fine. Ever since I've flashed CR 6.1.1 this afternoon i've been having problems. Even my baked snack 1.9 rom is very slow but comes up after either sitting at the Green HTC text after it has booted. I had to power down the phone a few times to even get that to come up. Is there something I'm doing wrong here all the sudden? I am clearing davlik and partition cache, even tried to wide data/restore to no avail. I'm at a loss here. Anyone have any input here? As I type this, I just did a complete wipe and tried to install Warm 2.2 and it is just sittin at the white screen that says HTC EVO 4G. Powered down a few times and removed battery for a minute to no avail, still just sits at that white screen.
I am able to restore from nandroid. I am also able to isntall a few roms.
Thanks
Dave
Uh, what kernel/radios are you using? I had similar problems when I flashed the all in one radio combo in calk's thread.
That is exactly what I did too, flashed the radios. How did you resolve that issue? I dind't even think that would cause these types of problems.
I just put on Fresh 3.5 and it installed fine. I am using kernel 2.6.32.17-gee557fd (under it says [email protected] #15 (Which kernel would that be?) PRI is 1.90_003
Well I downgraded the radio to2.15.00.09.01 and I got past the white screen and into warm. THanks much!! I had no idea that a radio would just cause it to hang like that. So the only way to revert back to an old radio file is to install it? A nanrestore doesn't do that it appears??
Thanks very much
Dave
Hey guys,
i have a problem, well 2 problems with my Desire.
First thing i had was permanently rebooting after installing InsertCoin Sense 2.1.
I tried everything that came to my mind (redownloaded, wiped multiple times, repartitioned SD card, different recoveries, and so on) problem was still there. It booted until the lockscreen appears, and after some seconds rebooted again.
Then i switched back to Oxygen, which i was using before.
Everything went well, but then Camera doesn't work. Just starts a black screen, and nothing happens after that.
i have to reboot the device after camera fail, because it drains my battery even after stopping service, i don't know why.
I wiped, reflashed, but still the same problem. I also changed to CM7 to test it, but same problem there
tried some radios, and different kernels...nothing works.
Here some information : HTC Desire amoled, s-off, radio 32.54.00.32U_5.14.05.17
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks in advance

Try going back to stock with proper RUU.
It sounds like a hardware problem, but try the stock way first, just to be sure
Thank you.
It definitely was a hardware problem.
changed to ruu, but was still the same.
i sent it in now, and am on a nokia n86. So funny to see how much changed since then
I just experienced a strange issue with my P2, and I'd like to hear some opinions/solutions.
I've been running the deodexed S244 ROM for a while now (unlocked bootloader, TWRP, root), no problems. However, AEX 4.6 (Nougat) intrigued me, so I decided to try it and flashed it. I made a TWRP backup of the previous ROM.
After using AEX for a while, concluding I'd rather stick to the deodexed ROM, I rebooted to recovery and restored the backup. Upon restarting, only a black screen awaited. Nothing else, as if it had powered off. Rebooting makes no difference.
I tried restoring the backup twice more, getting the same result: black screen.
Then I tried flashing the deodexed 244 over itself, and got the black screen with the blue led issue!
After 2 hours battling, I gave up and tried restoring AEX's backup (yes, I made one too, in case I ever wanted to go back), and it's working fine!
So how can I go back to stock? Or deodexed stock? I have to flash the stock ROM through fastboot? Any ideas what causes this?
Ok, I admit the information I presented was a bit unclear, and that's because it was unclear to me as well...
After a huge lot of trial and error, I ended up flashing the boot.img from the deodexed 244, which solved the issue. I guess there was some error along the way, and restoring it helped.
So problem solved
